How, and how much did you manage to lose?
I think that so many people have lost Bitcoins especially the people who gamble with them. I have lost 2 Bitcoins in total and I sad to my self that I would stop with gambling.

But i actually wanted to know if you did stop with the gambling?
Many people who lost because of gambling? This fact could be a lesson for those who want to play at gambling. that the defeat is very close to you. so you are most likely to lose in gambling?
gambling is not a problem but do not make it a habit dude because you will lose in the long run

While exchanging or trading, there are several users who keep losing their bitcoins as they get scammed. I myself lost 0.15 BTC due to a fraudster and 0.03 BTC for a task that I completed in December. I fortunately never invested in ay project/hyip/gambling website to lose more coins.

Aaaw. That's a good moving not taking anymore risks, it could have been worse and much more severe!
most people lose and lost their bitcoin from hyip / ponzi scam or other investments. and there may be some people who lost or losses from gambling? in fact, if you can avoid it all you can become rich quickly? because you could not possibly defeat again

Yesterday when Yobit was off and a number of people were saying that yobit will now not come again ten I thought that I lost all my bitcoins which were on Yobit. But Thanks God, It came back sooner and when I found my coins back I was very happy, start working with yobit again as currently I have experience on it and I am feeling convenient at there.

Half a bitcoin...

I decided I would memorize the passphrase.. wrote it down and burned the paper each night for a couple weeks then forgot about the coins...

found the wallet 3 months later...

attempted to figure out the passphrase for hours..

they are gone.

Always write down your passphrase and keep it safe.

Oh an cryptsy... fak... that was 2 bitcoins... *sigh*

Before i lost 0.005 on blockchain cause i forgot my password ,and didnt copy the key to bring back my account,
Now every info of my wallet i save it on my notepad ,i dont want to loose btc again
Do you really depend on the passwords for you wallet ? That's not exactly a security measure ,you should probably back up your wallet keys and phrases the very first time you create an online account for a wallet. They'e never safe.

There is a bitcointalk post about lost coins.. can't be proven, but there are plenty of stories of unspendable coins.. I sent 0.1btc to a vanity address last year.. saved the wrong key and a reboot of my computer lost the key.
Do you still have access to the vanity address ?How did you manage to save the wrong key anyway ? Actually you could have recovered the key you know the data isn't deleted or over written until cleared from the cache.

I lost around 0.08 that day, and it was because I'm too greedy to buy a good steam wallet with low price.
The site (http://btc-market.net/) offered a low price Steam Wallet, and after I paid I never get the code.
That's not losing coins. That's being getting scammed. You lose coins to an address which no one has controls of or an address you on but lost access to it.Your case is different, being scammed does't count.

I got scammed/conned out of 10BTC in 2012. I staked a guy for that amount in poker and the short story is that he disappeared with my coins never to be heard from again. At the time it was only around $120 US so I wasn't bothered too much. But thinking about it now and considering how much bitcoin is currently worth makes me Grrrrr...

From then on, my number one rule when it comes to gambling/poker/investing has become never, lend or stake anyone and never borrow or ask for a stake from anyone.

Just as Polonius advised his son Laertes in Shakespeare's Hamlet, "Neither a borrower nor a lender be..."

I never lost any coins as a result of wallet robbery. However I lost BTC0.10, after I invested that amount in alt-coins (QUARK, to be specific). Quark is almost dead now, and the current prices are around 99.9% lower than my purchase price.

I'm really glad that I haven't lost a single Bitcent so far. But a few times I was really lucky, withdrawing my coins from a site that shortly after went into "hacked" mode. These experiences have significantly confirmed my already cautious stance towards dealing with Bitcoin.

Although I've comparatively few to loose, I've switched to storing 95% of my "Bitcoin wealth" as secure offline paper wallets. I also stopped my experimental investing in Bitcoin projects, because I came to realize that the potential risks are much higher than the potential benefits. Now I'm primarily just hodling on to my tiny stash. Now I'm feeling very calm and relaxed by knowing my coins are safe and just doing nothing... Cheesy
