This I really believe. Especially when the world is in crisis from COVID-19 and now we are once again affected by the war in Ukraine. Stock markets are plummeting everywhere. World politics and power are currently at the highest level with many countries arming themselves for possible war anytime. The crypto market went down as well but at least it is decentralized. Bitcoin can be only affected indirectly.

In my country, I can feel that more and more people are shifting to crypto rather than stocks. Some are into both just like me but more stock investors are also investing now in Bitcoin. A few weeks ago I already started auditing my scattered stock holdings. I am planning to transfer most if not all of them into the crypto market. Our local stock market is too unstable, at least I am more confident that the crypto market will recover a couple of years from now.
I think it is not directly related but there is this distrust to stocks that caused this. I think stocks are not interesting anymore and people do not like to invest into them as much as they used to, or even if they do it is not the traditional way but more like gamestop saga where they attack the big traditional hedge funds.

This isn't because bitcoin, this is because hedge funds and all the other banks just screwed people so much that it feels like it is not really a shared love to each other and both sides hates each other a lot. This is why people looked for other alternative ways and bitcoin is one of that. That is why I think it is quite clear that we shouldn't really see stocks being valid investment after a while.

So how long are you in the stock market mate? I'd been in my local stock market for like 8 years already. I also have an e-Toro account although I left it already since I preferred to focus on our local stock market, crypto, and other ventures that interest me. What I shared is based on my years of experience and not just guessing and speculating. I am into a lot of local trading and investing groups and I observed that in every major crypto bull run I saw more and more people investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies by totally leaving our local stock market or they are invested in both.

Hedge funds and banks screw people but there is no screwing here in the crypto space? Bitfinex, FTX, Cryptopia, and many more screwed people too. At least bank savings are insured in certain amounts. And I do not agree that the stock market isn't interesting anymore, there are too many interesting stocks around the globe if you're into it. Did Elon and many other rich crypto investors totally leave the stock market? I don't think so.

Stock market enthusiasts or people who invest in the stock market are still very high and I don't think the popularity of bitcoin has not reduced people who are already investing in the stock market.
However, the development of the number of investors in the crypto sector, especially in bitcoin, is experiencing a much faster development than the development of the number of investors in the stock market.

Even according to the Ministry of Finance in my country (Republic of Indonesia) the growth in the number of crypto market investors has grown rapidly and if counted up to June it has reached 15.1 million investors. and beat the capital market growth in my country which only amounted to 9.1 million in June. (Sourch : cnbcindonesia.com

but that does not mean that investor interest in stocks has decreased, it's just that the rate of growth has been outpaced by the growth rate of crypto investors.

I buy both stocks and bitcoin, but bitcoin is only bought and not sold. Stocks are for trend investment and hot mainline investment. The opportunity in the stock market is very good now. After the high point comes out, you can buy some more bitcoins.

Stocks give like 20-30% returns in an year but bitcoin and other crypto coins can give this much return in just one day. At such, do you think that increasing popularity of bitcoin has reduced interest of people in stocks.

I think in some countries, people are really shifting to crypto only and most of their investment portfolio is in the form of crypto instead of stocks. The awareness related to crypto is increasing day by day and this more people are getting included in this crowd. Stocks on the other hand become saturated, people have realized that these stocks are not as much profitable as bitcoins. Also, there are other benefits of bitcoins like it can be used for transactions. This cannot be done with stocks.
The stock market is not very attractive to me. The digital currency in the encrypted world is a new financial tool, representing a new financial order, which is more stimulating and pioneering. I prefer new things. The essence of the stock market is the operating data of enterprises, which can be controlled by people. Digital currency is based on mathematical algorithms. This way I feel more fair. Another thing is that digital currency does not respect national borders and time. This is a very free thing.

Interest of people into stocks won't diminish, because of the growing interest on cryptocurrency and its adoption. As of now out of ten person investing into stocks, it is possible to see one person investing into cryptocurrency. So, we're at the very early stage of people getting into cryptocurrency investment.

Simple calculation. Among 100 people 10 prioritise cryptocurrency investment and the rest concentrate on stocks and other traditional form of investment. In the 10, it is possible to see 5 person having stocks in his portfolio. So, rather than people switching completely it is possible to see people making investment on cryptocurrency addition to the traditional investment.

In a survey this is being identified with a sample around 5000 people. The growing interest on cryptocurrency investment is for different reasons and the most important one being the easy trading, short term big profit, fun as a game.

From my personal standpoint, it depends on the context.
Bitcoin has not impacted much the stocks readily available in countries like USA or the European Union. However, Bitcoin and other blockchains have allow people from developing countries to have access to financial services and investments.

For example, someone from my country would not have many options if wanted to invest in stocks, since we cannot access to USA stocks or other foreign markets. Before Bitcoin people here only saved their money in local currency or USD, now we have new baskets to invest in and the best part is that we do not need to trust someone with the custody of our investment.

This is likely the case in many  developing countries with a significant volume of Bitcoin, which probably is bigger than the volume of local stocks.
We have our own local public companies but people are more interested in Bitcoin.

I don't think bitcoin's popularity has made all stock investors switch to crypto investing instead of sticking with stock investing. It may be true that some stock investors have turned to crypto investing due to its increasing popularity, but not for all of them. For anyone who thinks crypto investing is high risk, they probably won't invest immediately, especially for those who don't like high risk investments.

Bitcoin investments do not guarantee returns in x years for x dollars. But the price volatility has provided good profit for the investors, but not a few have lost because of it.
Investing on cryptocurrencies have increased and this hasn't happened as a switching from stock investment to cryptocurrency. People have considered it as one more form of investment. Particularly middle class people have begun to prioritise against other forms of investment considering its growth, though it is high risk.

Volatility too big reason for people showing interest on cryptocurrency investment, because the volatility helps them get into trading practice which too could help them with profit. People find investment on cryptocurrencies to be much easier than investing on stocks which is also a reason for increasing interest over cryptocurrency investment.

I doubt this is the case, it is true that for the small investors this market may seem to be more attractive but we need to be honest a small investor will have no opportunity to buy stocks to begin with, so it does not really matter if bitcoin performs better than stocks as they did not had any option anyway, what we need to wonder is if those that were trading stocks already stop doing so and have begun trading bitcoin exclusively, and I really doubt something like this happened.

How do you think popularity is reduced? Due to dump price? If so then I don't think so. Price dump due to any reason. One of the reasons World's economy. You can see how is it shaky now. Those who understand crypto won't jump into the stock market rather than Bitcoin. But have to be better knowledgeable about crypto. People are still interested in Bitcoin but the price not pumping due to some bad things like the Luna scam and FTX drama. Else everything is fine.

Not really. People that doesn't know Bitcoin is still using stocks as a way to invest their money to get profit. Also people knows about Bitcoin, doesn't mean they will always neglect the stocks at all. They can use stocks as their second investment after Bitcoin and it doesn't hurt to have multiple investment sources for better profit and future. Although some people hates stocks because it requires time to get the profit.

I think in some countries, people are really shifting to crypto only and most of their investment portfolio is in the form of crypto instead of stocks.
And some countries do the opposite. They prefer stocks instead of cryptocurrecy because in stocks at least the business is already running instead of almost new altcoins out there.

Cant deny that my interest had diverted from forex/stocks to crypto because of this opportunity but of course it does have its con's which is really in return or in exchange which the more profits you could

potentially earn but it is really way more risk because of its volatility or movement of its price which is way too far off if you do compare on stocks or forex, not all could really be able to bare up with the

risk thats why they decided not to touch up crypto but since we could see the opportunity on earning more then its up to someones risk taking whether they would be touching up
crypto or not.So its basically your own choice!

It is undeniable that the popularity of bitcoin has attracted the interest of many investors. including those who moved from Stocks to Bitcoin. But you need to know that reliable stock investors are people who don't really like taking high-risk investments. If you see the comments from them (reliable stock investors) on youtube channels. then they are more likely to say that they prefer something that is low risk. But there are also those who do both (stock and Bitcoin investment).

and in fact many people even know the word investment after studying bitcoin (beginner investors). So that most people get to experience being investors for the first time in bitcoin. even many crypto investors are not very familiar with stocks.
But I'm also pretty sure. that more investors whose origins are engaged in stocks are becoming more interested in investing in bitcoin, and conversely most Bitcoin investors are not at all interested in investing in stocks.

Like me, I am not at all interested in investing in stocks. But I have been in property investment for a long time before getting into bitcoin investing.

Bitcoin is still in the development phase, it will definitely take time to come into the mainstream, but still, bitcoin has proven its existence, since it was born.

When it comes to profitability, comparing Bitcoin to equities is merely a thought.

Stocks give like 20-30% returns in an year but bitcoin and other crypto coins can give this much return in just one day. At such, do you think that increasing popularity of bitcoin has reduced interest of people in stocks.
Investing primarily in Bitcoin is a high-risk endeavor. Because cryptocurrency markets rely heavily on decentralized technologies. It will take time for the general population to grasp and adjust to it, but given the present generation and accessible technology, the majority of the new generation flood comes from Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. As a result, crypto and similar technology-related activities will advance at a rapid pace in the future.

Some major reasons for this include: 1. Crypto trading is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 2. Decentralized 3. Because the system is entirely virtual, security is critical.

Why do you think stock big guns like eToro went all hot and heavy on Bitcoin?
Once we start recovering from recent events both inside Bitcoin, and unrelated events outside of it. We'll see just as many investors investing in it, regardless how long it stays at this price. That's the reality, since people know Bitcoin has already achieved prices much higher than the current price, and therefore will always have that in mind when investing.

There's not many examples of that in the stock world, especially something which actually is designed to appreciate in value the longer it's around. You don't usually get that in stocks, and when you do it's usually not so volatile, meaning if you're good at predicting the market or have enough time, you can make a lot of money. It's a investors dream, basically.

Nah, if anything interest in stocks has increased popularity in Bitcoin. Stock guy sees some kind of crypto or Bitcoin-tied stock, or futures or options, fancy derivatives probably gets all excited because he can use all kinds of financial facilities as a stock broker to get all kinds of fancy Bitcoin derivatives. It's a whole new market for them, stock people. Without even ever needing to actually touch Bitcoin.

Why do you think stock big guns like eToro went all hot and heavy on Bitcoin?

More seriously, I do get what you mean. But people interested in stocks are interested in speculating... so I don't think Bitcoin's the one really feeding the flames with a new asset to speculate on. It's the rest of crypto.

Flog the flokis and the SOLs, you know.

Cryptocurrency trading is also much much easier to get into as a layman. You only need an internet connection to get started. With stocks the process is so overregulated in some countries that you need a third party to do everything for you, including buying stocks. This is the main reason I am not interested in stocks. Its just too much buerocracy you have to wade through in order to get what you want.

Also you can think of cryptocurrency as stocks too. Except nobody can freeze your wallet or lose your stocks because they were all in a centralized database somewhere. You are the only one you need to count on. And that's worth a lot.

Stocks provide more stability than bitcoin. Stock has been the best and most traditional way for people and businesses to build wealth for this century. Bitcoin investment is quite risky for traditional stock players, though it has a bigger chance to make big money in a short period of time. I think a small number of stock holders now hold crypto too but not that huge amount of investors.

Crypto is easier to join than the Stock market. For you to be able to invest you need to have the capital while in crypto, people can just join airdrop and get some coins if lucky.

The stock market is full of wolves who keep taking money from new investors while in crypto, the newbies can just wait for the halving for the bull run to start. If I want someone to invest in, crypto would be the field.
