I doubt. Investors has their own preferences and I also doubt they did not take an eye in this technology. For sure they are aware of the profit that can be earned from investing to Bitcoin and other ceyptos but if they prefer a less risky investment, for sure they'd still choose stockmarket over this blockchain. There's even a higher tendency for a stock market investor to also invest in crypto while maintaining his/her investments with stock market but it would be hard to day they are losing interest with stock. What's more possible is that they are just diversifying their assets which is why some stockmarket investors also has crypto holdings.

Stock market is always timely unlike with Bitcoin which has a profitable period (like consistent or continuous profitable movement) which is why we cannot blame those people who are more into stock and other type of investments. They just measure risks involved before engaging into something. Playing it safe I guess.

Maybe because buying and selling activities and investing in the crypto world, especially bitcoin, can be done at any time, and maybe this is certainly different from activities in the stock world which can only be done on working days and hours.
and bitcoin are included in high risk assets with high returns, and now for most millennial investors this is a challenge but also allows them to earn much higher returns compared to stocks.
and many also use both and make bitcoin their choice for long term and future investment.

I think that answering this question requires turning to data. We should see if the number of stock investors fell at interest in Bitcoin has been growing. I found a chart on the percentage of adult US population investing in stocks. It was the highest in 2007 at 65% and has been 60+ from 2000 till 2007, but after the recession it never hit 60% again. The lowest point was in 2014 and 2016, and over the last 6 years, the percentage slightly increased. So the interest fell before Bitcoin, clearly due to the economic crisis, and then increased since 2016, when Bitcoin has also been getting more attention.
Given that not all people have historically been stock investors by any measurement, there's room for growth both for stocks and for Bitcoin. It's not a competition, and interest in one doesn't directly draw people away from the other.

So you see both have their pros and cons and none is superior than the other. Invest in whichever you find yourself comfortable in.

I don't delve deeper into Stocks. Even my first trade in investing was bitcoin. As long as I am close to crypto I have also heard some of its advantages. But until recently even I hadn't touched it.
Meanwhile, based on what I've read, there are stock people who trade in stocks and crypto. There are stock people who invest in stocks only. In addition there are people who only invest in crypto.
To date I don't have data for the whole world. But in my country for now, indeed crypto investments are greater than crypto investor stocks. The amount of data I have obtained has reached 15.1 million crypto while crypro is 9.54 million investors.

I don't think. Crypto is now on the hype, and its popularity is higher, so the shares have now disappeared from the information field. But this is temporary. And many people are still investing in them. I will say more, some observe some kind of relationship between stock and crypto charts, and use it.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
Stocks on the other hand become saturated, people have realized that these stocks are not as much profitable as bitcoins. Also, there are other benefits of bitcoins like it can be used for transactions.
Dont be in the illusion that bitcoin makes stocks look inferior, the number of stock market investors is way bigger than the number of cryptocurrency investors, but there is also a significant group who are into both.

Stocks cannot be used as a currency, true, but investors are rarely interested in the currency part of bitcoin - they only want to make money and leave. Hence that function is mostly for common people investors or non-investors.

Stocks give you dividends too, which is not present in bitcoin and the major cryptocurrencies.

So you see both have their pros and cons and none is superior than the other. Invest in whichever you find yourself comfortable in.

I think in some countries, people are really shifting to crypto only and most of their investment portfolio is in the form of crypto instead of stocks. The awareness related to crypto is increasing day by day and this more people are getting included in this crowd.
New things have a tendency to attract people, that can be the reason more persons are becoming more interested in bitcoins. People still invest in stocks, some people investing in stocks and bitcoins at the same time.

Stocks on the other hand become saturated, people have realized that these stocks are not as much profitable as bitcoins.
Stocks are still popular with the older investors. The high volatility of bitcoin has made people consider it more profitable than stocks investments, but it also means the risks are higher as well.

Also, there are other benefits of bitcoins like it can be used for transactions. This cannot be done with stocks.
Not like I am speaking against bitcoin, but a mature discussion should consider both sides when a comparison is made. There are also other benefits with stocks that bitcoin cannot offer, an example is the ownership benefits to a business/company that it provides.

Both Bitcoins and stocks offer investment opportunities, and they are both beneficial in their own way.

Stocks give like 20-30% returns in an year but bitcoin and other crypto coins can give this much return in just one day. At such, do you think that increasing popularity of bitcoin has reduced interest of people in stocks.

Bitcoin has given people an investment alternative because before now only the stock market offers such a platform. Before now every investor just have to invest in stock or nothing.
But the younger generation now understands that the stock exchange can be easily manipulated to favor some set of businesses. Also, the need for freedom and privacy is making people flee from stock investment to Bitcoin.

Any investment that has high volatility is always very profitable and risky. The stock market has leaser volatility than Bitcoin which is why it is less profitable compared to Bitcoin. I think the stock exchange would even experience a reduction in its clients in the future because Bitcoin's popularity increasing daily.

This I really believe. Especially when the world is in crisis from COVID-19 and now we are once again affected by the war in Ukraine. Stock markets are plummeting everywhere. World politics and power are currently at the highest level with many countries arming themselves for possible war anytime. The crypto market went down as well but at least it is decentralized. Bitcoin can be only affected indirectly.

In my country, I can feel that more and more people are shifting to crypto rather than stocks. Some are into both just like me but more stock investors are also investing now in Bitcoin. A few weeks ago I already started auditing my scattered stock holdings. I am planning to transfer most if not all of them into the crypto market. Our local stock market is too unstable, at least I am more confident that the crypto market will recover a couple of years from now.

People have lost interest in stocks not due to the high returns, but maybe due to the decentralised nature of Bitcoins. Bitcoins provide anonymity and full control over the money, whereas stocks are hold in a 3rd party app and that too with much restrictions. Due to the flexibility provided in Bitcoins, many forex traders are shifting to crypto trading. This is just my observation to be honest.

Part of the reason for bitcoin popularity is the ease of acquiring it unlike stock. This, coupled with the fact that it's a unique currency with flexible uses and opportunities giving people who know what they are doing more control over their bitcoin and the Network. In regards to the profitability I don't think it's that easy these days unless you really know how to predict the price. I'm not sure I have seen a lot of people acquiring Bitcoin to become rich quickly these days.

If stock is that easy to aquire a lot more people will be into it. The 20-30% annual increase is profitable enough to attract any kind of investor to benefit from profitable investments.

You are asking a question which can be answered with a survey or market data from exchanges. Unfortunately, there's no easily available data that links crypto investments and stock investments. But the marketcap of all crypto is less than 1 trillion, and SP500 alone is 33.5 trillion. So crypto is not any sort of competitor of big, mainstream stock markets, but it could be a competitor of penny stocks, since both them and crypto are high risk high reward "investments" that more often than not turn out to be scams.

I do not think that the popularity of Bitcoin reduced the interest of people in stocks.  There are still lots of people who are hesitant of Bitcoin, besides on a crypto enthusiast will prioritize Bitcoin over stocks.  Traditional investors will always go after stocks because they believe in government regulation.  For them, Government regulation is security so they will take an interest in Bitcoin the least due to its unregulated market.

Bitcoin give 20%-30% return in one day? show me when Bitcoin price increase 20%-30% in one day from the last two years! I will give you the link to track the historical data of Bitcoin price in order to help you more easier Cheesy https://www.investing.com/crypto/bitcoin/historical-data I will wait your answer, don't run lol.
I agree with your view point. I also think that there's still as much people entering into the stock market as there are people going into the bitcoin market. Then just as some people are interested in stocks and others in bitcoin, there are folks who are interested in both and are heavily invested in both the stock and crypto market. Besides, I do not think there is a popularity contest between stocks and bitcoin.

I dont think that there are such stocks which can give that much in single year? I mean if you guys are able to trade on that level then I must be looking in the wrong direction for sure. Thats crazy profit proceed from the stock marketing.

I mean I have seen that Mutual funds and sometimes SIP's are able to give us returns like those but I don't know, stocks? I am surprised.

Moreover, there is contradiction between interest in bitcoin and stocks. It doesn't really make any sense. They both are happy in their own universe. I mean bitcoin is all ok with crypto space and the other one in real market. Plus who would compare apples and oranges.

As long as there is money to be made, speculators will always be interested. Stocks will always be popular among speculators as well as Bitcoin as it is a pretty volatile asset with lots of potential for experienced investors. They will invest in Bitcoin as in other assets without even having to bother knowing the technical and philosophical assumptions behind it. As with any other asset, stocks have been more popular than they are these days, but even so, they are still quite popular. And guess what; they treat bitcoin as if it was a stock, so in a way, Bitcoin has become a new stock-like asset for speculators.

All speculators care about is profit, so if there is money to be made, they will drop in, regardless if it is popular or not. And in fact, that is how they make money, by diving into an "asset" when it is still not popular.

Some. It's part of an overall package. Some are "all in" on bitcoin and that seems scary. O'Leary calls it the 12th sector, I think that fits.

I do think that it is the other way around.

The popularity of BTC has skyrocketed over the years given the returns that some have experienced. While stocks is heavily regulated and the trading session only applies to a specific time frame within the day, cryptocurrency reputation is steadily increasing, though regulation has becoming more stringent over the years.

Though I am curious as to the returns of stocks that you mentioned- I think it varies in a case-to-case basis as 20-30% returns is significantly huge in stocks.

Stocks offer low returns but also low risk and not everyone likes high volatility. I have a few friends who don't like bitcoin trading because they don't like its volatility and they think bitcoin's high volatility is caused by manipulation and not by supply and demand. They don't like a manipulated market because short term technical analysis doesn't work with bitcoin.

Maybe you have different experience, but looking around me at the people who were investing in stocks long before bitcoin showed up, none of them switch to bitcoin completely, or have majority of their portfolio in it so somehow I doubt that people are massively ditching stocks. They diversify their portfolio of course and majority of them included bitcoin, but what's interesting though is that I know one old school stock trader who doesn't want to take care of bitcoin by himself and rather invest via Grayscale.

Having said that, I also know people that only started investing in stocks after they profited via bitcoin, as a way to diversify into something that has less amplitudes in price.
