Now that BJs and Sierras have started shipping. What are the final specs in terms of:

1) System power draw (W)
2) System performance (nominal GH/s)
3) GN efficiency (W/GH/s)

Thank you.

Why does this feel like BFL all over again...

They have 7 more months before it feels like BFL all over again.

By this I meant - ship 1 unit - pat yourself on the back - and then ship nothing for a month...

I find it strange that Luke didn't received a mail confirmation with the tracking from FedEx. I will call tomorrow to confirm that there is nothing coming my way (i've already instructed the datacenter to refuse the shipment, but who knows what HF will do...)...

Well my order is for BJ #39 and I have not received a tracking number so they can not have sent many out. Also the ToS is a contract between you and HF. Just because they sent out one unit to a developer does not mean they met the 'guaranteed delivery' deadline. http://hashfast.com/order-chain/
I am not intending to comment on whether HF has met their deadline or not.
Also, my unit is not a developer sample. I paid for it (HashFast is probably the only business ASIC manufacturer so far which hasn't provided a sample unit for BFGMiner dev).

The fact that only Luke-Jr confirms shipping does sound a lot like BFL. In order to win a bet that BFL would ship the first units before April 01 2013 they sent 1 unit to Luke-Jr. However it was never actually shipped because Luke decided to leave it at BFL. It took until July for day 1 customers to receive their units. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/first-bfl-asic-163261
I only say it how it is.
Neither BFL's developer-friendliness nor HF's lack thereof are at all relevant to the fact that FedEx called me and (among other things) gave me a tracking number.

Also before HF ships anything, they really should publish the final specs and tell us exactly what they are shipping. If they don't deliver what they promised the customer has the right to return the product and request a full refund. As it stands it appears the power consumption for the promised hashrate is well outside of spec. (450W vs <350W advertised). https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2894615

im sure if hashfast has a workign miner that is using 450w instead of 350w   it wont be a deal breaker for anyone that has been waiting on the Oct delivery of units Smiley

they will just be glad they got something.....

2014 will likely be the year where the power efficiency before a determining factor in the long term profitability of mining hardware. So yes it does matter to me and was one of the reasons I chose HF to start with. Remember, If you have MPP you will (hopefully) get 4 more modules. So the full system will consume an additional 500W in this case.

what makes you think they will ship MPP? they lied about almost everything, how can you trust this company?

It looks like the "test" systems are short of the "400 Gigahash/s at nominal clock" speed advertised by HF (assuming we are looking at a 2-module system).  Is there any plan to supplement the hashrate on these initial machines to get up to the advertised 400GH?

Hi,

Our demo/test units' reported hash rate on Eligius will bounce around for various reasons and those numbers should obviously not be taken as definitive or reflective of delivered units.

Your Baby Jet will generate at least 400 Gigahash/sec, and possibly much more with overclocking.

Best,

At 350w, 4 units fit on a 15 amp circuit.
At 450w, only 3 units fit on the same circuit.
It is quite possible that increased power requirements would affect people.
^^THIS
I do not care about the rants and chest thumping etc.   But I could use some information so I can make a back up plan.

Please post the stats of the miners that you are shipping so that people can make sure they have their power situation appropriately taken care of.   Thanks.

Dear HF_CL, you have yet to answer to my scam accusations. Back from months ago, those points are still valid and awaiting to be discussed.

That's great but it took the owner of eligius to let us know. You are a day late and we are dollar(s) short. Next time don't tell us you are going to ship on the (21st) then go completely silent. Thousands of dollars might not be a lot to you but it is to me, and i will find out where my money and equipment is.

When you make a Scam Accusation on Dec 26, in the middle of the Christmas-New Year break, it will take few more days than usual to get an Official Response.

Your libelous accusation of HashFast mining for themselves using customer hardware is a very serious charge tantamount to theft.  That thread should have been moved to Scam Accusations, not left in Custom Hardware to lower the signal/noise ratio.

You accused HashFast of self-mining based on no evidence other than an Eligius account's stats, so of course it took the owner of Eligius to definitively repudiate your slander.

Please consider deleting your false and defamatory thread accusing HashFast of mining for themselves using their customer's hardware.

Thank you,

HashFast Community Liaison

just one question: do you expect they still deliver by 31 Dec?

If they have that performance with one boards... then... I think we will be pleasantly surprised... but I think the days of pleasant surprises has passed.  If they are tweaking a two board system... I recommend that they go back to what they were doing a couple of days ago when they were getting consistent 400 to 500GH per module.
