The hashrate boom continues. Block generation time is already down to about 550 seconds. It´s ten days to go but the next difficulty increase will probably be between 5 and 10%. It has doubled in the last four months, unbelievable.

When the 16 nm chip comes out in March/April, the difficulty will jump even faster. Too much money is invested in mining.

Damn S4 is already at 104% maintenance/payout, if this continues we'll say goodbye to the s4 market wouldn't we?

Hi all

Is it me or is there something wrong with the diff ?
Seems all website are going  crazy .

bitcoinwisdom is no updated anymore and other website seems to give weird data .

All  this seems uncorelated with the hashrate indicated on blockchain.info

here is a list of difficulty prediction website .

http://nextdifficulty.com/

http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/

https://mining-profit.com/bitcoin-difficulty-history

https://coinplorer.com/Charts/Difficulty/BTC

http://bitcoin-difficulty.com/

the spread is around 13 % !!

You are at the start of new period, there is no way to have reliable number now. I own nextdifficulty.com so I can only tell you that conservative estimate is saying +10%, which means last 1500 blocks have been found so fast that if nothing changes the difficulty will have to grow by 10%. However I expect the pace of finding blocks will soon slow down.

What about ROI for cloudming on hashnest on your site, why is is still not showing ? Is their api still not fixed ?

Unfortunately not and I doubt it will ever be again...

BTW for those who are not paying attention, S4 is already in negative area because USD/BTC rate dropped to 380 USD. So they can close the market anytime like they did with S3.

PS : a suggestion for your website . At the bottom of it, you could add a  table with the history of the previous :  effective difficulty jumps ,your prediction and the prediction of others .

Thanks for suggestion, I am planning to add something like that if time allows me to do it Wink

Thanks for the answer .
Talking about slowing down , I also noticed antpool time between blocks is getting longer . I wonder if it's correlated . On the S5 it's killing profit . I wonder if it's related .

I think we are finding too little blocks. Can't just be bad luck.

I think the new difficulty is 120,033,340,651, up from 113,354,299,801 but can´t be sure it seems all screwed up. But it seemed to be heading for approximately this when it stopped updating. Current hash about 0.97 Exahash/s.

It happens every now and then, their servers lag or something and it takes a bit for them to catch up.  They always end up paying out, it may just take a little longer.

Thanks DebitMe, i'm pretty new using this service, let's wait then Smiley

Yea it can be alarming, but it happens.  Systems aren't perfect and Hashnest definitely has problems.  The best thing is that the problems with hashnest have always worked themselves out and credited properly at some point.

Hey! Anyone know's why there isn't payouts since the block 395137? It's been like 3 blocks solved by AntPool, but not showing in the balance...

Hi guy, At the moment should i buy s5 or s7? Which one give more profit now? Pls give me some suggest abt that. Thank you.

Not sure if at the moment (as in today) is a good time to buy anything. You may want to wait for this to take place first:

Estimated Next Difficulty:   120,576,340,401 (+6.37%)
Adjust time:   After 117 Blocks, About 17.5 hours

After the difficulty has rise. Which one should u prefer to get?

Think I´ll abstain from recommending anything. Except maybe; when in doubt do nothing. At this point I´d personally rather just buy BTC than hand over money to cloud mining.

True, the difficulty is just so nuts nowadays. Add that to the decreasing BTC value, profits are so squeezed out right now.

The prices are very cheap nowadays, I originally bought my S5s when it was still at 140000 sats and look where they are now. It's sad to sell them so I just keep them running, got no choice.
