I'm not in front of mine right now..

But - when attempting to login it would loop back to the login screen.  If I entered the wrong password it would spit back invalid creds (red font)...  but trying to retry the good creds, it would almost seem like it would think for a second then just redirect to the login screen, blank out the creds..

I haven't tried a hard reboot (as the hashing was going just fine looking at pool stats).. I figured once my auto 6hr reboot occurred I would be able to get in.. but still haven't been able to.

I may be able to dig more up later if I have time.

Current config - was 18 miners on the PI split into two powered hubs, scrypt mode.  I have 3 other PIs setup with the older version still (havent had time to reflash all card).. no issues logging in to the older ones (going thru same router/hubs/etc).

I installed ControlA 1.4.0 a couple of days ago on my Raspberry Pi and the unit is running well.

This morning, I attempted to log into the web interface (I left the defaults for the moment) and it simply stays n the login screen.  Any ideas other than resetting it?

GS

Noticed this issue as well with 1.4.0...

not enough information for me to go on I'm afraid.
how many miners to a pi? it should run stable with 20 miners.
what mode ? scrypt, dual, sha?

It could be anything. Last time it was a bad router or ethernet hub which was causing the problem.

Sorry, maybe I'm missing something, but where is the software to run the blade?

Just had the same issue. Can't really do anything other then to reset it at this point. Would like to add that the unit itself is still hashing away. So I think it's just the front end that's down.

Should need more power regardless of what you're mining as long as the frequency they are running on is the same. Assuming they are being supplied with work all the time.

Anyone know if certain script coins require more power (electricity) to mine?

HASHRA - MINING TO THE MOON
HASHRA,

I like the new feature on the mini controla that I can add multiple pools.  Finnally I don't have to cut/paste all the time.

I would like to see you guys add the ability to get some more mining control settings though, like in scripta.  The reason is, I like to mine on p2pools and I need to tweak the settings for optimum mining.  With scripta it's possible.  NOT with Hashra.

Another thing is, it would be nice for us to know what you are changing or tweaking in every update so that we could give you feed backs.

Still, over 850Mhz is not possible to mine without huge HW

and still "some" HW under 850Mhz speeds.

Thanks for the input.

Were working on it and will take what you said on board, thanks.  Smiley

Hey Hashra

Any idea if/when you guys are gonna be working on individual clock speeds and/or auto-tuning as there is in the lightningasic controller?

Ditto.. this would be a huge benefit, esp for those of us that are running multiple units.  Right now I have to downclock to the weakest unit, I have 14 others that can run 50-100 Mhz faster, it's a huge disadvantage to using your product, but I really like the rest of it.  Another feature I'd like is in addition for each unit showing the shares/reject like it does now, is to show the HW errors for each unit, it would make it a lot easier to figure out which units are having issues when running so many of them.

And set a failover pool..or long shot add load balance between pools.
what is the algorithm for auto tuning? the slower the unit the lower the clock speed? measured by pool hashrate and hw errors?

if you really want to set different clock speed per miner, this also possible with CONTROLA btw, it's a hack, but it works. I don't know if it will have any effect in overall mining performance though.

PM me if you want to know how to do this.

failover is already available in version 1.4.0

LA coder explained a bit here:

To elaborate a bit on how the auto overclocking works, if the chip has hashed for over 600s it will attempt to change the frequency. If there is more than 1 HW error or if the current hashrate is less than the previous hashrate (after that 600s period), it will decrease the frequency, otherwise increase it. It will stop adjusting if the frequency has been decreased atleast once, so make sure to pick a low enough frequency to start with. The frequency adjusts in steps of 25MHz, I have found this to give the most stable results while overclocking, and it also makes sense if you look at how the frequency is calculated from the PLL variables.

I have changed the algo meanwhile, https://github.com/siklon/usb-miner/blob/master/software/cpuminer/gc3355.h
Getting 3700 KH/s poolside consistently with 10 miners, unmodded.

Feel free to compile it for Rpi.

Thanks Sandor111
Great job on the auto-tuning. Although I'm not sure if I'm ever going to implement this, since GS has announced to stop production of these little miners.

so then in Hashra mini controla, the hash rate it shows when I have it set at 1050Mhz, is not correct?
probably not. the local hashrate is an estimation based on the amount of chips and clock frequency.
setting the clock speed to 1050 will skew that estimation, when it's not modded. I've seen people running their modded miners on 1250, making them hash around 500kh ... but this uses 20w power. to mod your miner you need to replace the resistors on the chips to overvolt them.

I tried for the first time to bump up the core speed to 1000Mhz.  Suprisingly, I got no HW!! However, I get no shares and I'm not even able to connect to the servers anymore??
Not even big pools like wafflepool or multipool.  The smaller pools don't show me hashrate and I don't get any shares too!!

Anyone can help out with this?

1000 MHz will not work unless your miners are modded. you have to set the clock back to 850

So what's the point of Hashra showing different clock speeds in the controla?
people who modded their miners wanted the option to be available... so it's there now

I am getting alot less errors with new 1.40. I am also running a blade. I am running minis at 850 and blade at 800. shows 2 340 Mhs on 1.40 but 5.40 Mhs on logs and more or less in pool. Thank you.
you need to use The blade version of controla, which will show the correct hashrate.
