I agree with OP as I have always stated that there's not wrong with gambling itself but people always get it wrong and think gambling is detrimental to people's well being but then on the contrary it has always been people's attitude and approach to gambling that has been the problem.

Most time you see that those who gamble responsibly usually don't have mental or health issues resulting from gambling rather they benefits because they see more of entertainment and fun in gambling which in turn help their health, but those who see gambling as a venture to make unrealistic sums of money are those who suffers adverse effects and because they are in majority they make gambling look like a bad habit which is only detrimental to the health meanwhile it's not actually.

I'm trying to imagine a situation where someone chooses to gamble because they believe it will enhance their body and soul to feel good. This suggests that a lot of people will be drawn to gambling because of the pleasure it brings them, and they will frequent gambling houses on a regular basis. As a result, the person will develop an addiction to gambling and end up spending a large sum of money just to feel good. When that starts to happen, it's no longer what it was originally intended to be(something to do for enjoyment or to feel good)

Games are a way to make people have fun in their free time, for example when a person is working a lot at the company and starts to feel stressed, then that person will easily get irritated and start fighting with anyone he talks to, being So when that person picks up a game and starts playing, that person's problems won't be on their mind all the time, for a few hours that person will be focused on the game they are playing. This is one of the many benefits of games. Now there is something very dangerous when it comes to games, and that is that in games, people keep playing to forget their problems or have fun when they have nothing else to do.

and that feeling of freedom, that feeling of pleasure and rest that games give people makes people not want to put down games and the consequences are the vice. So even though the game has given them fun, it has made them forget about their problems for a while, people still have another problem which is that they spend too much time playing. And here is the part about spending a long time playing, which in the case of gambling involves people spending a lot of money to stay playing longer.

and when they start to lose a lot it makes them play less time, so people will put more money into the casino, in many cases the objective is to chase losses, in other cases they want to have a lot more time playing, whatever the outcome. The main advantage of gambling is the chance (even if there are few chances) of people being able to win a lot of money if they are lucky. no matter how much we all play for fun or to pass time, we are still all aware that if we are lucky we could win a lot

Responsible gambling can actually have some benefits. Gambling responsibly can actually improve your memory and concentration because you have to remember the rules of the games (that's losing money if care is not taken) and pay attention to the details since nobody likes to lose money. That number 3 benefit which is risk, I think it's the most interesting benefit because It can also improve your problem solving skills since you have to make decisions and weigh the odds. Making decisions are some time very hard in some situations but gamblers are already use to taking decisions and they'll not find it hard to take decisions in any situation since it's already part of their hobby. Gambling can also be social which can boost your mood and reduce stress. However, the key is to be mindful of your limits and not get carried away due to these benefits.

The third point about risk taking is something which I would have not expected to read or see around here, to be honest and I can see how it is a benefit for some people.
There are people in this world who try to go through life as safely as possible, avoiding to take any kind of risk which crosses their path: they don't want to move out their parents' house, don't have to risk having a partner, they do not invest, they do not drink or smoke. It is like a complete adversity towards risk taking.
I would assume some psychologist would agree that gambling small amounts of time would help as a therapy, to help those who are afraid of living their life to realize that risk and choice taking is everywhere around us and each day we wake up.
The other points on stress relief and mood improvement is something which I already assume would me mentioned as advantages of gambling for gamblers.

In the end of the day, it is important the recognize when disadvantages start to outweight advantages, to avoid gambling becoming a problem rather than a healthy hobby to partake in.

When I saw this title I laughed a little, I didn't think that there would actually be much in the line of "health benefits" when it comes to gambling, but after reading some of the article they do make some fair points.  For me, when I gamble, mostly sports betting, it provides a lot of fun and gets me that much more in to games.  It's good entertainment, even if I'm just betting a few bucks, which is typically the case.  Good stuff.

Can you add more besides what's written in this article?
You can be great at math and finance lol. I don't know if that is counted but I think it's a great addition and can be fun in a way as well. I totally agree that if it's too much it's not healthy and if we can't control how we gamble, gambling itself will control us. Same with liquor, we should gamble moderately.

I think gambling is a fun game if we enjoy the game, and can also control it.
As with anything else, play in moderation when you want to play with a few dollars to relax, calm down, enjoy, and also socialize, then take a break.
Likewise, when we go to a bar or other nightlife to have fun by spending a few dollars, and after we finish we go home and rest in a happy state.
However, in reality, many people consider gambling as a way to make money, they play with seriousness, tension, ambition and emotion which makes them lose a lot of money because they cannot control themselves, and can even become addicted.

Gambling is not bad after all but addiction is, gambling has been receiving a lot of negative reactions and feedback but gambling also has a lot of health benefits associated with it but you can only get these benefits if you are a responsible gambler and you have total control of what you wage and limit your bankroll

These are some of the benefits to see more of its benefits you can read the whole article here

Can you add more besides what's written in this article?

All the positive impacts mentioned in the article turns to be negative if gambling is done outside our limits.
Everyone has an amount in mind which they can afford to lose and these positive impacts becomes negative when they start losing more than this amount.
It's good that OP has already mentioned that gambling should be done within limits.
Other than the benefits mentioned in the screenshot I think gambling also helps us in making new friends.

Absolutely agree with you. The worst thing is that the line between responsible gambling and irresponsible gambling is so thin that we cross it even without noticing it. And this really applies not only to gambling. Lovers of sweets, lovers of alcohol and lovers of dangerous entertainment also very often cross this line. That is why I believe that every person should be able to limit themselves in their desires. It is really important.

Of course, I cannot always control my self-control, but if you can control yourself, gambling is not a bad thing. It reduces stress, but when it gets out of control, it is a game that causes stress.
you are actually right because gambling tends to affect us if we are not able to control ourselves on our pattern of gambling so in as much as something may seem important to us but the minute we lost control over it that's when the possibility of getting affected emotionally or psychologically will happen.

Although just like you said it all depends on individual on what gambling is to them however there are people who dislike gambling while there are also people who finds gambling as a game of fun and whenever they feel sad, gambling is one of the things that makes them feel happy.

So for me in as much as i may love to gamble but I can easily get emotional if I lose ongambling so that's why I would say that I don't see any gambling health benefits on me.

You'll get all the health benefits of gambling if you have a positive mindset and you are concentrating more on enjoying the game, but if your mindset is all about winning you'll suffer from depression and negative feedback from gambling.

If you abuse yourself by playing too much, spending the whole day or night playing it will take a toll on your body and mind, when I was playing to make money I always got sick because of depression, I even had bad dreams playing and losing money, you can easily tell if a gambler is having a good experience in gambling they can sleep well and reap the many health benefits of gambling.

OP did a good research findings and I must commend OP for that. In as much as there are disadvantages attached, there is also advantages too. I must say that what ever have an advantage also have disadvantages. So OPs findings are not wrong and are in tandem with the law of nature. It is good we look look into advantages sometimes to see for ourselves the better side of what we might likely be really talking about.

As I read through, I began to discover more advantages of gambling although they are quite alright and relating to health but would need a stable mental calmness to achieve and as such one stands the chance of benefiting from if not abused.

You're not wrong in drawing this distinction; there are benefits to moderate gaming. For example, it offers a kind of amusement and possibly even cognitive stimulation. But the issue comes when it becomes difficult to distinguish between addiction and enjoyment. Do you think it is possible for everyone to recognize and uphold this boundary?

The idea of self-imposed bankroll restrictions and responsible gambling really appeals to me; these are important strategies for maintaining a fun but controlled level of play. Your point on the health advantages of responsible gaming creates a thought-provoking topic for conversation. Could it be that the potential benefits have been overshadowed by unfavorable cases that have had an excessive influence on society's perception?

Op is indeed right, we have very much paid attention to the disadvantages that comes with being addicted to gambling, that it seems that we also have completely forgot about the possible health benefits as well.

Like I have always said in some of my comments here, when I was a kid, to relax, I used to sit and watch movies, interesting ones though, or possibly watch cartoons. But now that I am an adult, and have no interest in movies anymore, neither do I find cartoons any more interesting, but instead, gambling have become one simple and most effective way to relax for me.

Gambling is always fun and a great way to enjoy the evening after a hectic day at work or business place, but the bad thing is that, many do not know or can't discipline themselves well enough to gamble responsibly.

Whether all the research on the health benefits of gambling is real or a joke, if it is true that every gambler feels this, maybe these seven factors will have a positive impact, maybe. but I'm not sure.
Quote
#1 - It Improves Mood. ...
#2 - It Is a Stress Reliever. ...
#3 - It Helps Us to Take Risks. ...
#4 - It Helps Us to Enjoy Challenges. ...
#5 - It Is a Medicine for Anxiety. ...
#6 - It Is Good for Your Brain. ...
#7 - It Helps You Fix Your Focus.

However, in fact I view everything about the health of gambling as the opposite, in fact many people feel that it has a negative impact on gamblers, by carrying out actions that are beyond common sense such as criminal acts and so on.

To be honest, I don't feel the health benefits of gambling that happen to me, in fact I get more stressed when I lose, I actually feel more tense, in fact I feel high anxiety when I'm unlucky in gambling, Maybe everyone feels about the health benefits of gambling, for those who often win, but not for those who often lose, their health is actually worse.

When you're gambling and being excited about what you're doing, it gives releaves to your muscles, because there will be facial expressions of joy and happiness in what you do, this is the releave from daily load of stress that we stand to gain, our mental state also functions well and accurately, we move in exercising our body in the same direction the way we are gambling or walk around because our minds are lifted up and we are happy.

It depends on the person. The answer to this question is why gambling is useful for me. When I find myself in high risk situations, I really feel good in my soul, but if I do this all the time, then my consciousness will not enjoy it. That's why, when I want to experience a risky situation, I usually delay it, look for good options in the meantime, hype myself up, and gamble if I see a good game or if I feel like it's a good time.

Of course, I cannot always control my self-control, but if you can control yourself, gambling is not a bad thing. It reduces stress, but when it gets out of control, it is a game that causes stress.

It makes us good at mathematics. Cheesy
Ain't that true? We somehow do some calculations about our losses and wins while the game is still playing in automatic. I don't know if it's just me but I bet there are those who do that too.

The stress reliever is true though, especially in the times when we are winning our bets.
Another is adding the thrill to the game when we are betting for sports.
I cheer louder when I know I have a bet that is on the line for my favorite team, fighter, player, boxer, and other sports. The adrenaline is there like we are watching it live on the court.
There are more benefits like what OP said but I think it will depend on our needs.

Alcohol, Cannabis, drugs also improve your mood. Does that mean they are good for you?

Maybe in moderation but maybe not. I would go with the second one but keeping my fellow forum members emotions in mind, not willing to hurt them, I will settle with the first one.

It is similar with gambling because gambling disorder is an addiction and these pleasures carve the path to addiction and once that path is laid out, it is close to impossible to come back.
