The negative side of gambling is more higher than the positive side because, it has be long i live in a good mood in gambling because anytime I hope of winning something big in a particular bet, something will happen that will make me to lose money and it will change my mood through out the day. The positive side that can bring health benefits is when you maintain consistent winning in your gambling which, is very difficult for me but anytime I have opportunity to win, It will help me to developed some good health benefits like it will allow me to sleep well, think well, and have a good relationship with my siblings at the moment.

Whenever i gamble, it help me to be in the right mood with my friends who we use to share ideas on how to win a particular bet that will bring huge amount of money, and we also use that period of gambling to advice each other not to be addicted to gambling, like the way some people are addicted to gambling.

This could be misleading. I hope people won't take this as if these three things are exclusively provided by gambling. I mean you can have your mood improved, your stress relieved, and your fears challenged even if you won't get involved in gambling. There are a hundred ways to do all these things without risking money and possibly getting dragged into something which could actually make you worse.

Gambling may give you these benefits, but make no mistake, it's also at the risk of being defeated by the urge to continue doing it beyond moderation. So, if you want to get all these benefits without taking unnecessary risks, you can do some other things.

     -    Once we enter a casino, be it physical or online, it means we are ready to face the risk here and we are ready to lose our money here, right? Although we had variety of reason why we play gambling, one of them is that it makes playing gambling a stress reliever.

Why do they do this? because even if it is only for a short time for them, at least it still provides relief from the problem they are facing, and sometimes gambling even becomes a way to forget the problems for a while.

[....]it can be seen as a way to challenge your mind and have fun and engaging in strategic games can stimulate your brain and improve decision making skills.
This has to be one of the "health benefits". I believe anything that makes your mind sharper is a good thing for you as it has a compound positive effect on your body. I would put it on top of the list to be honest but I guess those who play games that are solely based on luck wouldn't even consider it. Those who prefer games that require strategy and a lot of mind games would probably agree.

Community. Gambling gives a sense of community especially for those who visit a physical casino or a sports bet shop. So many people are lonely and have no where to go. The only time they feel less lonely even if they don't speak to anyone is when they go to a physical bet shop or sports book or a physical casino. In these places, there are people, there is music, there is a form of chatter or another that for the brief time they are there it makes them forget about their psychological condition. They have a sense of community. I think this may also apply to those who are very strong members of online gambling communities/ forum.

I think the effect is temporary though. I mean if you used gambling as a stress reliever, definitely it will work but for how long? Maybe just a couple of hours playing and then you lose money? Same with it improves your mood, when you gamble it might release some chemicals like Dopamine so you really feel good about yourself. But then again, the same question, how long will you feel that good mood?

So not really sure if we can call this as health benefits because the effects is for a limited of time only.
If you are a responsible gambler, you will certainly feel these health benefits without limits, as you are gambling not to fill your pocket but to entertain yourself by making you relieved out from your life’s stress and boredom. But if you are gambling for money, you will never feel and experience these health benefits because your focus is how to gain and earn money, and not to free yourself from stress and anxiety.

Gambling has definitely its positive and negative effects on us, the gamblers. But most of the time, we fail to see the essence of gambling since majority of us are doing gambling at a wrong concept. And once we fall on the trap of gambling and suffer from losses, unfortunately that’s when we realize that we are gambling the wrong way.

This article wins it all. I love it. No matter what you guys say, anything that encourages gambling, I like it. Whatever the author is up to, it's up to him. Although it provides good points in making gambling positive, these points are also in some other habits that don't even need a person to spend a lot of money to relieve stress.

Sometimes it only needs a squeeze stress ball. But I gotta admit a person going out with friends to a land-based casino is still fun to do. Maybe that kind of stress reliever still makes the feeling of loneliness be gone.

Laughing and having fun can have a good health benefit and some gamblers find their happiness when they are winning but I'm not sure on how they address their losses and how they handle their emotion. This positive impact of gambling will vary depends on the personality of the gambler and depends on how they spend their time in gambling. Some are too serious to earn the money while some might find this as for their entertainment purposes, and personally I do consider both and the health benefits that I'm thinking is more about winning.

All that has been mentioned in the article were true. But it isn't applicable to all gamblers. Majority had said, all these were positive about gambling and suits with responsible gamblers. Based on my experience as a gambler as well as a person who had lost big out of gambling, I personally doesn't find this applicable for my kind of wager. According to me this suits well with responsible gamblers with good wallet balance. Because, for them loss too enjoyable whereas for responsible gamblers with limited fund loss will make them sad. It is wrong to mention it as health benefits, better is to mention as positive side of gambling.

Maybe 1 and 2 can happen to a gambler, in my opinion. Because I experienced that once, that's why I gambled, because of the amount of my problems, to at least reduce the worries, and I think that I gambled so that in this way, my problems would temporarily go away so that I could be relieved somehow.

And it's also true that it also changes the mood, especially if you suddenly win something you didn't expect and then end up gambling with a smile on your face because you got lucky, You know that feeling.

The theories that OP shared focuses only on the feel good side of gambling, where it can help you to relax, relieve stress and help you get used to taking risks. I totally agree with the concepts mentioned, provided the gambler is gambling mainly for the sake of fun and to distract him or her self from worries. I believe also that this category of gamblers should have discipline to know when to quit for the day's gambling, meaning that they're in charge of their emotions, and will not exceed their  the amount set out for gambling. Lastly i think that these category of gamblers should be financially stable where loses can not really affect them negatively.

However, these information about the health benefits of gambling does not cover every areas of it. We have people who gamble for survival, not for the fun of it or to relieve stress. They see gambling as a way to escape poverty and a short cut to riches.

Lastly there are degenerate gamblers, these are gambling addicts, who don't have control over their gambling habits, in fact, gambling does more harm to their health than it benefits them. This is because they don't know when to stop, they can lose all their money in bets and casinos, and still go ahead to borrow to gamble.

It all depends on your mindset, if you gamble to have fun and to enjoy and treat it as a stress reliever, yes gambling can be considered to be healthy and you will reap all its benefits, gambling becomes unhealthy when you have too much of it, spending more of your time allocating money that you can afford to lose, chasing your losses and thinking that you can recover your losses in one sitting.

There is such a thing as pleasure hormone and it is released when you do something that makes you feel good and is the healthy way to play, when you are gambling in the wrong way you produce a lot of cortisol and testosterone and these hormones are associated to increased risk of violent behavior and becoming impulsive.
So play with the right mindset and you will reap all the benefits of a healthy mind.

Yes that's right, for those who have a good mindset they will gamble limitedly so as not to damage their physical and metal health. in contrast to people who pursue victory by upholding the principle of victory [there is gambling people like this will spend a lot of time gambling and can even interfere with their sleep hours so that it can damage their health, mindset and mentality. as you say when they have spent a lot of money and return to play with the aim of returning the losses they have experienced, of course this will also be a loss for their health, by playing spending a lot of time without doing other things that are more useful.

Gambling with a good mindset can avoid the risk of addiction and avoid damage to health and mentality so that we are away from the name of illness due to gambling. I have even seen people who are mentally ill because of gambling, maybe this is one of the effects of gambling that has damaged their mindset and mentality so that they experience mental disorders.

Improves mood and stress reliever? Well, that depends on the situation though. It's not gonna be the case if you're losing. However, it could improve mood and relieve stress but I may not call it health benefits, simply because it's temporary just for that moment when you're gambling. After that, it's gonna be back to reality. Health benefits are the things that creates long term effects. But this one, I'll call it a remedy to a stressful long day of work/day job.
This will vary to every gambler, some gambling might bring them the good vibes but to others it can be stressful as well.
If you are into gambling, better not to treat this as a good source of energy or good health, instead stay focus and stay with your goal, either to have fun or just to spend your free money. Addiction is a big threat in gambling, don't let your negative emotions take over yourself.
Gambling can only be stressful in a way that they take gambling too seriously. By disregarding the fact that gambling should only be considered as a way to have fun and spend their spare time. If gambling becomes the reason for losing self-control or treating it as a source of income, the effect will indeed be stressful for an individual.

Some people use it as an escape from stress, using it as a distraction to at least forget the reasons for their stress. However, due to the different behavior of each gambler, the effect of gambling causes negative effects.

Like who the hell wrote this up? A doctor or what? You have to be some kind of a meditating freak to be able to keep your cool when gambling, saying gambling have some health benefit is laughable.

There are many gamblers that can't take risks on anything else than gambling, you want to know why? Because its a quick result when making money, they don't like keeping money somewhere and waiting for it to grow, they either lose fast or win fast, what do you have to say about this?

The only way gambling can bring you relieves is after you win some money, even if you are risking $0.5 on every bets you are not streesing yourself out, it's not a workout or weight lifting, and if you risk more than you can afford to lose you will start having fear, and relief comes after you get lucky, there is no stress here, gambling is a sharp way of getting your results, unlike waking up every morning and going to work, taking a cab from one location to another before you get there.

Gambling ruins people more than giving them any health benefits, the only health benefit comes after you win good amount of money.

Gambling may be able to train us to remain disciplined in gambling so that we can prevent ourselves from problems in gambling. But it won't work if we don't have self-control from before we start gambling because when we don't have it, we can easily get deeper into gambling and in the end we will become addicted to gambling. This has happened to many people who previously did not gamble very often and because they lost self-control and were unable to become responsible gamblers, they became more likely to gamble more often. This is what we must be aware of and avoid because we have seen what happens to those who lose themselves. Maybe there is still a lot more that we need to prepare to become responsible gamblers and it will depend on how we can use gambling properly.

Yes maybe that can be said a little of the benefits of gambling for ourselves, as you said we can practice discipline in gambling and if we can apply it there then in other things too maybe we will be quite easy to repeat the same discipline. Let's get into the discussion, of course if you can't apply good self-control then obviously you will suffer a lot of losses there with the amount you never expected, if you don't pay attention to preparations such as limits in gambling then I'm sure you will continue to go further and further in your gambling involvement, it can happen consciously and unconsciously.

And also if you have experienced addiction especially about winning then I will confirm that they have entered the stage of real addiction, it can happen unconsciously, and also yes as you said even though for example you gamble just for pleasure but I say it does not rule out the possibility that you can get into addiction unconsciously, so often gambling it is very possible. Yes exactly, we have to be more vigilant and careful, in my opinion this is a dangerous place for anyone, because if you are careless and uncontrollable then obviously addiction will be waiting for you. Therefore, we must look at various sides before finally entering.

It keeps us in a good mood if we keep winning at gambling.  Because when a person improves financially, he can improve himself in all aspects. But I don't think a person's mood will improve if he keeps losing at gambling. In this case its total change will be more negative. Yes gambling is a thing that is all about risk and the person who gambles has a lot of risk taking ability.  So gambling increases our ability to take risks i am totally agree with this statement

I total agreed with this list presented in the screenshot, gambling in many ways have some positive effect on those who gamble, I mean you don't have to worry about some kind of stress bored moment and all of that, I don't I'm not talking about getting addict to the game, I'm talking in the aspect of always having something to do at your leisure time, if their is no friends to hang around with or other things which need your attention instead of looking all worked out and bored, one can always visit the casino and free their eye even with out having any fund to gamble with, you can just engage in some competitive discussions with an opposite fan team and the rest of the day is made up for you to stress.

And again, when someone doesn't want to leave their house for some reason, you can also use the online casino during your free period to get your mind off anything that's given to you or trigger some emotional stress. You can also use gambling to take your mind off them, as you will need to do some calculations in order to select good games that will offer favourable odds, and by doing so, you have forgotten that thing that was eating you up earlier.

Mood always have effects on our health, if you are a happy fella chances are you are in good healthy shape than those that are always sad and moody, gambling is full of sad stories and only handful of people are able to keep smiling when gambling, this is why I always warn people to either stay away from gambling or risk very little amount of money, that even if they lost the amount it won't turn their feelings on them.

To say the truth, gambling have more damaging side than it's health benefits, someone who only gambles for fun and responsibly are the ones that will keep their good health in checked, and those who want the best from gambling, taking it too serious and wanting all the good things in life from gambling will on the long run end up in sadness.

It's safe to say the the good health in gambling belongs to responsible gamblers only, others don't have it, even if they win their minds are already trapped, as they always have a end goal that they want to achieve through gambling, so they will always be back to gamble irresponsibly.

Surprising Health Benefits of Gambling

Seems like a complete bullshit article written by a scam artist who sells crystals to middle-aged women.

Gambling may be many things but it improves mood and is supposed to be a stress reliever? Since when? If anything it does the complete opposite of that. Furthermore, how is it in any medically scientific way healthy for the brain? It completely jumbles up the brains chemicals and screws up dopamine sensitivity in your brain. That might not be a irreversible, fatal illness but it can do a lot of harm. I see no reason to write a gambling article on the supposed health benefits of gambling. In fact, it will do more harm than good to gullible readers who actually believe it.
