Do you have any information which could be used as a 'salt' on this page?
https://brainwallet.io/
In a similar line of thinking... is there any sort of "email" that might be associated with these 6 word passphrases that you could try using with Warp Wallet (https://keybase.io/warp)? Huh

Yes, I have checked WARP too, some other 'brain wallet generator pages' too. I think someone used seed known to him (email, birth date, name, city) and then just distinguished addresses by passphrase.

Kuw: could you post again screenshot of the file? 2 images you send in the past are now removed. Do not you see anything like a 'seed' 'salt' 'root' I do not know --- something common to all the addresses?

I tried the 6 word phrase that you gave earlier (child shout iron pair row aunt), but it didn't generate the correct address:

I barely use Telegram, and I don't trust it at all. So a PM here is better, or email if you want.

the 10% was for 6 word seeds and the wallet.dat
I'd be more than happy to take a look at the wallet.dat Smiley Or your Forkcoins for that matter (and I only ask 10% for claiming Forkcoins) Cheesy

You could say "ok, I will not give 10% but 2%; I appreciate your help, let's work with the rest of seeds/wallets I have".
I call it disgrace.
I call it: "don't worry about it", I'm probably not the only one who never expect anything out of helping users online, especially when they're new and make rediculously high promises.

I did get a 0.2 BTC tip years ago, months after helping someone. It took me quite a while to find out where it came from, so it was a nice surprise.

i will give who help me 10% of what i find in all wallet
already recover 35.34 btc from 12 word seeds
So who's getting 3.534 BTC?
I guess... no one.
He will just disappear for another 3 years or say something like 'I did it myself' etc. They want to share their BTC as long as they cannot reach them.

and few minutes later....

it was my own work

of course... then why did you ask questions which showed that you know nothing?

and the 12 seed not working in elctrum
it give me wrong address  like this one
bc1qc4fdk5re3r08msaelnndnywnh9pec5p5tqh9kv
You must change the type of address to 'legacy', not segwit.

blockchain.com used 6 words recovery phrases for old wallets, but I am not sure about the dictionary.

Even if the checksum does not validate to true the seed can still be valid this is a requirement in the protocol.

As far as i can see the 6 word phrase should be used as the salt or password in conjunction with the 12 word Mnemonic.

the bitcoin protocol has nothing to do with seed phrases. a wallet wouldn't generate an invalid bip39 seed.

what is the different between wallet.dat  and virgin_wallet.dat and full_wallet.dat ?
how do you know the address of that wallet without downloading all bitcoin core ?
is there away to know what kind of wallet.dat is  becouse i see etherum wallet and peercoin wallet and bitcoin-wallet-backup-2015-10-10 and Darkcoin-wallet-keys-2014-07-22
and Dash-wallet-backup-2015-08-23 and walletFTC ?
what is that ?

all files ?

how about you tackle one thing at a time? try restoring from the 12 word seeds using electrum like i said.

I was talking specifically about the bip39 protocol.
And this thread deals with pass phrases and mnemonics in general.
I think the first thing OP tried doing was to import it into electrum.
From his last post i realized this is about a lot of mixed (alt)coins and that makes it even harder to solve.
Good luck.

You do not need to download anything to check addresses, you may just open filen in Bitcoin Core and then you should see addresses and transactions.
In fact, you may even see addresses if you open .dat file in text editor and look for phrase 'name', which should be followed by an address (but it is very simple and not really trustworthy method).
In fact, you should use Bitcoin Core and then in the console use command 'dumpprivkey' to see if you have private key for the given address and if you may spend the balance.

Bitcoin Core uses wallet.dat by default, the other wallets are probably renamed (by the user). I've collected many different filenames over the years too.

It's easiest to download Bitcoin Core, but you don't need to download the 300+ GB blockchain.
After loading the wallet, click Help > Debug window > Console > Enter "listaddressgroupings".

Wallet.dat belongs to Bitcoin Core, but it can be an altcoin (like Peercoin).

This is created by Bitcoin Wallet on Android. Use this app to restore your backup.

Darkcoin-wallet-keys-2014-07-22

These sounds like the above, but for an altcoin again.
