Turning money into heat since 2011.
Not sure which is funnier: World's dumbest way to buy/sell a car, or the carmag wankers arguing over which is 'faster'.

Dank: You can buy mine on lay-away.  It'll meet your needs. Start sending money now...

^ That's exactly how they do it in Canada, eh Smiley You hold the title, The bank or lender has a lien on your title, once paid off title is clear,,

Weird thing in Canada is that you can still sell a car with a lien on the title......... I was going to buy a car, my first car 2002 Cavalier and it still had like $7500 owing on it when I went to put the car in my name... Lady at the License office said it's up to me if I want to take that chance....

Not sure where you live but in the US the bank holds the title. At least in every car loan I've ever had.

Depends on the state in the US.  I know because I had a car in KY and VA.  In VA the bank keeps the title.  In KY you get the title but it reflects a lien by the holder of the note.   In VA when you pay it off the bank sends you the title and you send it to DMV and they issue a new title.  In KY when you pay it off they send you a letter clearing the lien you take that and the title and get a clear title.

Same difference either way the lendee's interest is protected.

man this is an easy fix, buy the car for yourself, let dank drive it, give him the deed to it when he pays you back + interest, like a simple bank loan.

Banks do not hold the title to your car. They have a lean on the title.

Mine had a lien. In NYC, title was under my name. The car was brand new though, financed through the manufacturer's credit unit.

In Canada.. You hold the title, there is a Lien haha I can't spell Smiley

That's what I've offered to do, I've written a contract but no (serious) takers so far.

I'd adjust for USD inflation too if you'd like.

Andrew, I don't need you coming in my threads changing my words around. I realize you must have loads of enjoyment to sit behind a computer screen and type gratifying remarks to boost your ego, but it's really not necessary.

Anyways, the new car I'm looking at is not a V8.

Yeah, as long as he's willing to take out huge liability insurance, collision, comprehensive, uninsured motorist, and skimp on the no-fault.

and YES Volvo's are kick ass.. I don't race my car... I drive my family around in it. BUT it is nice to have some juice under the hood to play around once and a while...

V8 doesn't mean shit... What do you drive a crown vic ? 4.6L v8 with under 200 HP LOL.....

My 5 cylinder Volvo 850 turbo pushes 260hp.....

Subaru Imprezza WRX Sti, 4 cylinder turbo, 300+ HP stock, Will blow the doors off of most V8 mustangs no problem.....

That BMW would be a nice nice car....

I think he just wants someone to lend him a huge amount of coins so he can take off and start his life over.....
Let's just say I've beaten that BMW easily before. Don't take this the wrong way but I'd beat yours too. It's an old car but it's nice.

Your thoughts are completely wrong, I want money so I can take off with my life it.

Do you think it's bad? I think it's good for no experience. Jimi Hendrix only starts playing when he was 15.

No offense, and it is certainly more than i can do, but that wasn't good. I'm glad you believe in yourself Dank, but you need to have some thoughts of failure. Even great musicians don't always make it, due to circumstances or a lack of creativity. This entire thread reeks of Mania.

The insurance isn't for you, it's for me. If I own the car and you kill someone(high or not), the victim's family can sue me. I asking what state so I can check local laws.

Also, have you heard of delayed gratification? It's very sweet.

Mania. Heh that's a funny word. Delayed gratification is great but it's only delayed because you didn't make it happen sooner.

Did you miss my 0-60 results for pre-2012 models? I guess you did, since now you're saying pre 2010 and GT....

Nope I didn't. I didn't realize there was an engine upgrade to 2011 mustangs. Still, most STIs can do 4.5 0-60s, but that requires a high rev clutch drop, which isn't typically done by auto magazines. I take back what I said, a 2011 GT might keep up with an STI

Now you're switching again from V8 to GT, what is the MSRP for 2004 STI ~32k? 2004 Cobra is within the same range.

Next time you called someone a retard, make sure you aren't one.

I really hope you're being willfully ignorant. I'll say it again, an STI will beat most V8 Mustangs.

I bet you're a popular person....

Dank, get an E55 Smiley
