It's already happening, I have seen some of that nature, high price no volume, high price no buyer at all and this is actually an issue , reason why we need to ensure fake projects are eliminated.

I also think that way, the possibility that happens is manipulation by the project team concerned. Actually the long term is very good, but not all tokens can be long term. It's better to choose the top coins for long-term investments that are sure to have a large volume too.
One of the biggest possibilities is that as you said, that is the price manipulation by the developer, I still remember one of the projects that were a boltt coin that had a high enough price in the market, reaching $4 but when they held Ieo, the coin sold for less than $1, but after ieo after their coin have suddenly fallen to $0. 01, so many investors have lost money, and it seems to me that they deliberately deceived the market by locking coins for $4 to attract investors.

It's back to square one if you are holding a coin or token for long term and finally altcoin season comes and the token or coin surge in value but has no trading volume on exchange, all your efforts and pain while holding is total waste, do not hold tokens or coins that have no demands, real use cases are what makes them very demanding
The prices won't increase if there is no demand and if it happens with particular exchange they are trying to bump or dump but any serious investors should not hold the coins which got dying total marketcap value and less trading volume from time to time.

Once I had faced this situation where I am forced to sell my coins for 1/10th of market price but I am okay with that as long as I converted my asset into something which got real value.

That is why I always look at the top 10 coins (except bch and xrp) or any coin that has a utility, if you can use the coin for something then that coin could be bought for reasons other than selling and never would have zero volumes. Utility is the most important of any coin, if you invest into something that has a use-case you know you will at worst use it if you won't make profit from it.

The most known is BNB for example and if you look at it, you can profit from your BNB if you hold a lot of it but you could also use it if it doesn't worth it, just keep using your BNB to pay your trading fee and it would be lesser fee as well so it is profitable, instead of 0.1% or whatever it is now, you spend %50 less with BNB and that is why even if you don't profit from holding it, you profit from using it.

It happened to a lot of people in here already. Because sometime we really believe if token that we hold will pumped or maybe listed in big exchange. That is why people want to hold their token longer. And as time goes by, the token price not like what they expected and token that they hold not have any value anymore.

I don’t understand how a coin can grow in price, but it may not have trading volumes? in order for the price of the coin to change, specifically, we need someone to buy it very actively. if someone buys a coin, then it has a trading volume. the only question is the number of coins sold and bought. volumes can be low or high

the token means that it has no liquidity so their volume is low even though it has a high exchange rate. it's very bad, because even though the price is high but there is no trading volume or the volume is low, it's the same as the token has no buyers. you place a sell order there is also likely to be very difficult to sell. I have experienced it at this time, a good exchange rate but no volume and finally the token is just stuck on the sell list order.

That means the price is zero, also there are such market that manipulate the price even with big volume and make the token holder are not able to sell theirs under the targetted price and also the buyer is also cannot buy under the targetted price. It was on coinsbit when they list CNB token and at the first moment everyone couldn't place or buy any order when the price is high

What token are you talking about? High marketcap without volume? Can you give me an example because that doesn't sound like coin or token like that would have any liquidity.

If the alts, tokens have high price then no volume i think don't base your investing in that like example better to look how useful their alts, tokens then for sure this will grow so supply and demand will also grow so find or study if the alts, tokens are like that so do invest in that
I think inside there is a large wall that holds the price and there are no people who sell it too. so it's best to keep coins away like that unless they have a real platform and an active team so we can see more about the project. but if you are in doubt it is better to keep the project away.

And for that case, you'll never think that you can get something from that certain coin. Having no market volume is simply to be considered dead as well. Don't think so that you can even sell your coin cause it is actually been impossible to look at.
I don't know how the patient may work for this but for me, its nothing to waste nor to expect that the sunshine will go out but just a sunset.

This is bitter to be accepted here, like it or not. It is also important that we risk this kind of thing where our mentality is tested, whether we will retreat to make this a stepping stone, no matter how painful we have to face it if we want to succeed here.

How you think that a coin or a token can rise in price if they are not used for something, or traded with them. If they are used for something then the price will rise, no volume means that nobody wish top sell, maybe they have some dividends from that, maybe they are staking that coin/token, but anyway something is happening and that’s why the price is rising. Other case when the price can rise is trading, there is supply and demand in every moment, with time and with more traders the price can rise.
I can think of any other scenario that can lead to price rise but without any volume except the one I already mentioned, but there can be a huge demand for that coin but simply nobody wish to sell.

Yes, that is the truth but how will you find a token with real use cases.
In what field? What department? Infrastructures? Another exchange token?
Real estate?

Most of them do create ICO in that specialized in those parts. They say it is good to have a competition but that is just too much by now.

Be careful while dealing with these coins, because their exchange rates are manipulated. One perfect example for this is IOUX. There is a lot of manipulation going on with this coin, because the exchanges doesn't allow you to deposit the coins. So an artificial shortage is being created, to pump up the prices. I would be very wary of these sort of cryptocurrencies.

Cases like this rarely happen what else when altcoin has a high price but does not have a trading volume on the exchange.
Yes we have to avoid altcoin like this, don't invest in what you don't know.

Of course so much risk in holding now especially those coins that no real use cases, no project idea,  and no working product because all those coins will be die when bitcoin bull run start.
So my only advice is study the coins we want to buy and and its good to buy only reputable coins because i think this is sure to increase price.

This is good information. There are lots of projects who are thinking that their coins are too good for the public as it has gone high in price but with almost no volume at all. Then they announce fund raising plans believing that they will reach their target. Its terrible.
