It's back to square one if you are holding a coin or token for long term and finally altcoin season comes and the token or coin surge in value but has no trading volume on exchange, all your efforts and pain while holding is total waste, do not hold tokens or coins that have no demands, real use cases are what makes them very demanding
agree with you. and it makes the coins who held there is no value. better to hold coins that really has potential in the future such top coins in coinmarketcaps. honestly, this case happen to me, i am so dissappointed that the coins i hold there is no volume in the market and most of these coins i get from bounty campaign. this lesson for me do not feel greedy to hold and make expectation to get more then not hold unprofitable coins anymore

That's why we should always be careful with the coins/tokens that we are going to invest, one of the factor that I am checking is if they have private investors, if they are transparent with what they have raised, where they are really honest no matter what, having a weekly report and if the founder itself did invest their own fund.

If the condition of having a high price and no volume is evident, in my opinion, it is based on the projects developer that set that market price to that extent, knowing that there will be not much people to buy and accumulate volumes of their altcoins, true value could be seen from cryptocurrencies which is having huge volumes because it means that the price is reasonable depending on the demand of the altcoin in the market. With the huge price without volume simply means hyped, but is weak in stability.

Indeed so most garbage projects, because the price is rising because bitcoin is getting expensive and the volume does not exist because their community no one is interested in trading coin or their tokens. So it is a risk though high rise altcoins are not necessarily we can sell everything we have because there are no big buy orders for sell sold.

high prices and not having volume is very painful and makes us expect our sell orders to be sold. But everything is just a trick. A high price with a volume Zero will make the coin unattractive, because sell orders that are made cannot be sold. Whereas buy orders are at very cheap prices.
All also depends on the credibility of the coin, whether there is much demand or not.

yep, that's a sign of fraudulent projects and never growing again. Bytecoin is a prime example and now there seems to be no volume. No one needs to buy or sell, so it has become a garbage coin. There are always such junk coins in this market and we should not believe in their development.
There have been a lot of people losing money on such projects and they seem to have lost their trust completely, which is one of the reasons why the marketcap of our market has been greatly reduced. So try not to turn yourself into a victim.

too bad to hold coins or tokens that have 0 volume. because when you want to sell it. we can't do it. high price increases are only a long distance BID. for example the bid price is 100sat and 10sat and this is just a price trick. holding a coin must know the future of the coin. so that it doesn't become shitcoin

Maintain a strategic distance from on the off chance that you discover it controls like that we frequently observe mate ,thing you have stay away from is to disregard it and continue searching for token or coin that have a volume and fluctuating value that is ready ,despite the fact that the value is little however it give you benefits why not simply pick it right

High price but no volume is typically a phenomenon experienced only by very low market cap cryptocurrencies which can easily be manipulated by a coordinated effort, e.g. pump/dump groups.

This type of action is extremely rare when it comes to large-cap cryptocurrencies, simply because the rate of change needed to realize a price appreciation is difficult to achieve without a sudden and dramatic change in volume.

Whatever the case, increasing price but stagnating volume is warning sign, invest at your own risk, as it almost certainly will not hold.

Normally, high price must have high volume too. it means that many people interested with that coin/ having demand
if not, I think the coin is just for pump and dump. then it would be down so hard

I have no doubt if that scenario is possible in cryptocurrency. bcz crypto is very easy to manipulate
people who have 'some' money even can manipulate crypto.

actually it depends on the coins that you hold if you hold coins that are not too popular even though the price is high then of course that's it may not necessarily have value in the market. do not waste your time only for coins that have no future. you must choose a coin that has good potential for long-term investment and I am sure your efforts to hold the coin until the Altcoins season arrives will bear fruit.

In my opinion it is very important to buy or hold coins with high volumes, because coins with high volumes will be easy to sell.
If you find high price coins but no volume, don't buy them, because coins like that are dead coins. So be more careful in choosing
coins to buy. Especially now there are lots of coins / tokens that have sprung up, we must not be wrong take a decision. I always
recommend buying coins that are in the top 10 coinmarketcap sites, because it's safer.

Only fools do that or people who want to seek their fortune.
The absence of trading volume indicates that the coin is not in demand either by the trader or the dev himself. Unless the dev is still actively providing some updates but the trading volume is not good, maybe there is still some hope.
No, only a fools and greedy people does that and absence of trading volume while coin surge indicate that the altcoin is been manipulated by the coin DEV and some association.
@OP, we only few altcoin which use for real use cases and i think the best thing to watch for is community level of support, concept and trade volume.

Yeah high price but no volume means you are literally on trouble. Volume means the amount of coins being traded, that is being bought or sold. Mostly, dead coins aka shit coins have no volume in the long run. Even if the price is high, you will have trouble selling the coins since there is no "volume", that is no one is willing to buy or sell. Again, if a coin has no volume in most of the exchange, the price will tend to fall and then eventually die, since people will try to sell it off cheaper.
it is true that the price of cryptocurrencny depends on the trading volume because when the volume is high, the transaction between the buyer and seller using the coin or token at the exchange place will give a very good effect because it can provide price movements up and down.

i agree the coin with no demand or real use case is not really a good to hold
price can drop at any time if the supply will not match the demand.
indeed the price increase can be seen from the influence of demand and the total supply of coins or tokens, because if more demand means that the tokens can be very expensive because many people will buy them.

It's one fact that most altcoiners should look at. Just because the market is starting to get to show it's bullish nature, it doesn't mean that everything will turn into its side. No, it doesn't go like that. And you are correct, whether the altcoins market goes greenish too same as bitcoin but the coin you're holding has low volume, it doesn't make sense because there will be no one that wanting to buy that token so how can you sell it if most exchanges shows the same volume?

That means that type of coin is manipulated by the bots. It can happen to small exchanges because when they manipulate the price, it is not that obvious since there is no much traffic in that exchange. The solution to this is to check everything first if everything seems legit and that is when you are going to buy or do trading. Do not get greedy over the high prices.

Sooner or later this types coin plummet in cryptocurrency as history. For few time you can price high of any coin by staking or update news, but without volume ultimately any coin will crash. Big exchange and real supporter also help there. Trading rewards also offer by some projects for high volume.

i agree, if there is no demand for the token, the price is not realistic, only tokens with real demand and turnover are good for holding, no matter the price, because you can seen it as liquid, if it is not liquid then you can not sell it on the price that is actual, and that price does not have real value
