May i ask you did you test the "SGminer" on Hiveos? Every time i try to run it i will face with error like below:
[2018-01-08 01:36:01] Error: clSetKernelArg of all params failed.
[2018-01-08 01:36:01] GPU 1 failure, disabling!

This error will be repeated for all of my cards. I must mention that i don't have any problem with claymore on the same Rig.

May you add "XMR Stack GPU" on the mining softwares too?

Regard

Hive is restarting mostly "Claymore reboot : Miner thread hangs, need to restart miner " - can you tell the possible cause ?

When the hive reboot it hangs on : " starting update resolvconf for network DNS" all night long ..... Smiley

I make the update writing a new copy of hive on usb and automaticaly make update on first boot. Now, with this version the watchdog is more reliable. Congratulation!!!

Claymore anounce the 10.3 version of miner for windows, but i think you know   .... Smiley

this sounds really,really good.
Under windows, my rx580 cards can achieve 31.9MH/s, but under Linux, I cannot get past 21.6MH/s.

I am trying to install this OS in libvirt, as my ubuntu box also does other tasks.  It is working with Wn10 and Ubuntu, but I have issues with HiveOS.
I created a partition and used 'dd' to transfer the image.

about hashrate this seems to be related to PCI bus options in bios. try gen1 or something else.

About libvirt can't give you a good advice. The image you download is a full disk image, not just a partition. That disk has 2 partitions there.

Excellent work! Moved over from SMOS and EthOS. This is better than both. Would you consider any options for hosting our own panel to reduce dependence on your server? Also, if there were integration with ATIFlash to flash more than 9 GPU, it would be great.

sorry, could not find newer atiflash...
can give away a server for private installation for everyone. though this could be an option for big customers. it will be still me server but solely for 1 customer.

I created a partition and used 'dd' to transfer the image.

It does boot, but then fails, as it says that the uuid does not exist and then drops me into a shell

How can I change this, so that it will boot?

Your help would be appreciated.

PS. I wanted to post the exact uuid and partition type, but when posting it told me that i have been blocked because of using invalid commands.
The code tags do not seem to work either.

The update procedure don't work. If i touch the button , the mesage appear but the update dasn't work , and the old version of hive still remain. Could you do something about this or exit other way to do this manually ?

The most frequent problem is when the claymore start and stop before create dag files. After that all freeze and just reboot the system is the solution. I increase RAM to 12 Gb, i put  -gser 2 in options claymore miner but the problemm persist. Someone fix this ?

4gb ram is enough for linux and claymore and dag file.
I hope you have ssd.
and if it freezes while loading DAG in VRAM of GPU... i'd say this is something with the bus (if you know these gpus really work). Try different pci bus settings in mb bios, like gen1 and so on. Recheck the risers.

Manual upgrade is to run "selfupgrade" in console.

i try also the selfupgrade but the version of hive into de web browser is still old one.

the GPU is work fine till now on w10, and the setting of PCI-E on BIOS is set on GEN1.

Hi to the nice Hiveos development team!
Please make an update for Claymore-x (cryptonote). They released ver 11.1 to "fixed issue with stale shares, now effective hashrate must be higher" and "a few minor improvements". Please make this update as soon as possible to get more hashrate! Smiley

They released v11.2 before completing this post! Cheesy

I have some msi rx580 armor 8gb oc video cards that just don't seem to work good in linux.  I just tried hive to see if they would work, but they don't.  in windows they get 30mh/s but in linux they get about half that.  My other cards powercolor red devil rx580 8gb work fine.

I have flashed the roms on all of them with oc and everything (both the msi and powercolor)

the msi cards run on hive at a rate of 16.41, and the powercolor run at 29.7

If you have any ideas on what I could do to get these msi cards to work, I would be grateful.  I have a second mining rig with 6 of these on it, but if I can't get them working in linux I will need to stay on windows.

Thanks!

@dimafren, so I followed your advise to under-clock using Bios and flash that into the GPU and it worked. It is still about 5-8 watt more than Windows but it is now more comparable. For those that are having same issues as my rig, you will still need to set the Core/Memory Clock & Core State in the web application.

Now I am testing if I can get it stable with just 850 mV. I will post updates once I get some hours into the rig.

In AMD OC settings make sure you set CORE SET (index): 5.
I dont' know why but HiveOS (and Linux i suppose) do not take VDDCI set in bios unless you set CORE SET (index) 5

I didn't know that HiveOS is still using the old one. I'd suggest the dev to have the current version of each miner (in-front of the miner name) on the home page
