Hey everyone.

So I have been working a bit with BTCPop.  Back a while ago they were staking on the wrong chain. Due to this they are unable to process withdraws until they are back to even. As such, we have the ability if we want to help them out.  The est amount they are down is 130k.  We can either try to donate funds to get them to even, or they suggested they will also pay a "reasonable" price for some, maybe half the market place?

I don't' have full details yet, but I wanted to get everyone's feed back first.   I will continue to do due diligence to make sure this is all on the up and up.

Also has anyone had any success with other exchanges?

Thanks,
Tranz

I would be willing to donate 30k HoboNickels, if BTCPop gives us the guarantee not to delist HoboNickels in the next time. If there are other people donating, we'll probably get the 130k together. Maybe it would be good if you could set up a donation address for it.  Smiley

Otherwise I could not achieve anything at other exchanges.  Sad

Priceless.... Nothing like owning your mistakes. But shit happens.

I might be willing to make them whole if they DM me and we can agree reasonable terms.

That'd be pretty generous of you if you add the rest. Let's hear what Tranz has to say about it and how we do it at best.  Smiley

I try this guys to provide with liquidity, and he interprets the many limit orders as "... in the future please do not double, tripple click on the buttons, click it once and let the page load, if not we will be speaking again soon.". The dev "Chad" is a really unfriendly person, behaves like a terminator.

well at least he communicates. better than the 'major' exchanges by far.

btcpop is on it's start, and so he should build confidence, and not locking the account arbitrary. And aside from this, he is a speculator: I'm a server admin, and know how many clicks I have done on every button.

I made some successfull withdraws from btcpop. But just hbn did not move (it's only a fraction). Support says, it's on the chain, and I cannot see it. Can somebody test a withdraw? With a very small amount, please.

Previous quote was the first try which never withdrew, few days later I tried to withdraw a second fraction (unsuccessful), with the result they locked my account. The loss is negligible.

May the force bit with you.
A wrong chain again?

I had some contact with the btcpop admin, locking my account several times, and he sounds very "professional", in the way that he seems overconfident that failure is on users side. But this "expert" cannot differ between forks?

Not sure how long ago it was.

Thanks for the links, i've plenty of memory on my system. The wallet is syncing really slow, I'm currently 4y 242d 17h 57m, it could take 5 mins or more just to move a few blocks.
I'v added the addnodes from the link you posted, however when trying to download the bootstrap it comes with a 'Network Error' or 'File corrupted'
do you have any suggestions on why that would keep happening?
Thanks

wallet v2.0.1.0 ? (previous were really slow syncing)

the current wallet is a giant memory hog and takes a long time to start up, but actually synching, once started up, seems about the same as any other coin.

on my own system, i get much slowness when i have multiple wallets beating on the same hard-drive.
hard-drive is a real bottleneck when more than one program is doing it at the same time.

likewise with network bandwidth, if several coins are attempting to download at the same time (while you are web browsing and streaming music) you will find things are very slow too.

set the hobonickels task priority to high should help a bit too.

Congratulations HoboNickels Community, we have reached block 6 million and POW ends with it. From now on, HoboNickels is a pure POS blockchain. Happy staking.  Smiley

Everything appears very well so far as well.. One thing to mention. If there is no PoS block for 10 minutes a PoW would be accepted.  Otherwise we shouldn't see another one.
Hi Tranz ,I have a HBN in cryptopia ,the windows wallet is extremly slow,.Any advice.?
I like this coin for a years.
Thank you.

If you don't want to host your own wallet you can put your coins on btcpop.  They have a wallet running and it's a staking exchange.  but you'll have to trust them with your coin.

Yes you have to be able to trust them.

@panda111 what do you mean by slow? The only reason it is slow would be if you have limited memory on your Windows machine otherwise it should be pretty snappy.

Cryptopia has their HBN wallet online now.  I was able to withdraw my HBN from there no problem.

At least one good news. I already thought, Cryptopia keeps the wallet offline until the delisting.  Wink

Note to all: Please remember that you only have time until 09 November 2018 to withdraw your HoboNickels Coins from Cryptopia!
