Many newcomers sell coins at a loss, because they do not believe in crypto. This is their main mistake. Then they will greatly regret what they did. I was like that too. But now I trust crypto currency more.

It's natural to have it because it's in the trade you need to do. but if you hold it there is a good lesson will not happen again, but if you are in bitcoin you have to keep earning faster and as long as you do not lose money, do not regret losing profit Better to be safe from regret.

Sometimes its good to hold, if the token is not yet listed or the market value in some exchanges is not yet high. You will only regret if you sell it directly even the price is so low, You wont regret in hodling tokens if you know that the project in the next couple of months or year. No one knows when the  token will go hype or pump.

I've already started regretting. Sold some of my holdings this week in hope that i'd buy them back after some months but the market has already started to rise.
Though I've increased my holdings more than I ever had this year and hope for a good profit.

According to many experts and Technical Analysts there will be more dips coming, some even talk about 3k for Bitcoin which I find absurd as it costs more to mine it. But looking at the market and the last 6 months, you should find many more opportunities to buy back

Whaooo, i also had a stint of verge last year. Unfortunately for me, i did not buy so much hence i could the huge multiplication of Verge had little effect because of the little quantity i bought. I took my lessons from it and i have been going strong since then.

There will always be a time when one sell before a real pump or better a huge dump. Holding at times can be a disaster and selling at times can be another headache as one don't know how the market will look like in a few hours time ...

I never liked tactic like that. it is much easier to keep it and wait a little longer for the market to recover. I know that we are missing opportunities this way, but we are not taking any unnecessary risks either.

It all depends as one will hold a coin or token at times and would regret as one would have make better gain if he has sold earlier if the market go down all of a sudden.

It's always good to have a defined strategy but personally i think it's makes sense to always have a mixed blance of taking profit and also holding long term

I'm really disappointed with myself now because of Verge. Way back June 2017, I bought $200 worth of XVG and I sold it last week a day before the pump happened. It could be worth more than $5k now if I just HODL. Cry Well, I need to move on and learn from this mistakes. This will be a lesson for me to have patience and wait for the right time to sell my coins. The reason why I sold it was because I need more funds to buy another coin. I'm happy with the coin I bought because I can now see that it is now starting to pump. Maybe, I'm just half disappointed every time I'm seeing the current value of Verge. I bought some XVG again and will surely hold it this time. Smiley I hope that this experience of mine can be a good example for everyone especially the newbies in this community.

sure that is true, i have once fallen down that way; now my own experience was on MTC (Docademic) i have 10000mtc and which was 0.09 wen i sold mine the most painful thing is that wen i sold it 1 to 2 weeks interval the coin was pump to 0.6 x 10000 = $6,000 which I have been holding this coin for the past two to three months.
so what you are saying is true. we have to be patients in terms of selling out token.

Im still hodling, but am on an overall big loss in my portfolio. Even compared to my initial investment, and thats certainly not good and its hard not to loose trust. But I know its always the wrong decision to sell with a loss, so I will keep hodling and just hope that I wont have to regret that decision.

Definitely hodling but not all projects are worth hodling. when you find the right project, make sure to hodl because selling at the current prices is definitely not worth it.

HODL or regret applies to projects that have a good team and the developments are progressive.  Sometimes HODLing a fallen knife project will lead to regret, for example HODLing Bitconnect isn't a wise thing to do.  It's better to cut your losses and move on.

Yeas, but there is always hope, I am currently holding tokens that dropped 30 times in price sins the last winter, and they are continuing to fall, and there is no any bad news about the project, or any scam accusations, they are just falling, I hope that they may be pumped someday by wills for example or the project will be finally recognized and noticed.

I think I'm starting to regret that I'm not selling these coins. Each time the price drops lower and lower, if I sold part of my coins a month or two ago when bitcoin was about 9000$, now I would buy 3-5 times more coins. So if you're decided to hold prepare for a long winter.

Oh, man, that`s how it usually works. When you finally sell/buy, the market starts to move in the opposit way! I`m glad that i had enough patience for this correction and didn`t sell anything.

HOLD is important because it can give you big profit if you think that the coin has a lot of potential you should hold it for a long term.

In my opinion, holding is the key to gain more especially if you are not sure when to sell. Because I notice every bull run, all coins are pumping. So if I hold as many coins as I have when bull run, I will gain a large amount.

If you are not a professional trader, then HODLing is the best choice in my opinion! Well, taking profit is a must, so some should decide/know when to sell and take profit. Anyhow, hodling is great if you are new to crypto world.
