Bah nonsense, I don´t need to hodl because I can buy again whenever I want, so I will just wait for the market to reach the bottom. You hodl and have fun doing it. I will be around to catch the good fish.

At such times, you need to ask yourself, why are you in the crypto-currency world at all? It seems to me that today this is not the first such incident, when people start to hand over, it seems to me that growth will begin only after people simply surrender.

in essence - trading can be done purely for excitement, those who did not have to deal with this on the forex or the stock exchange is better not to go there with large amounts. Mining benefits uniquely, but it requires large investments. Buy a crypt and wait - the best probably. I agree that bitcoin soared too high and simply can not believe in its further potential. But the ether and its forks - I think the most risk-free option.

I sold my 6k ripple coins last night! Embarrassed

Lucky you!  Cheesy
Some HODL-fans still waiting - but unfortunately now price almost ten times less then you have sold.

We should start a new topic named SELL or REGRET. For those who didn't sell their shitcoins when there was an opportunity to do it and now will just die with them because the price will never go up again. Or because all the exchanges just delisted them.

Well if you're already down that much then it would be more logical to just wait everything out instead of losing a chance to recover along with the market. We have to understand that it's a process that has repeated several times in the past already and the market could go lower and the losses higher,  but recovery is almost certain as well.
Even we have seen many times on how recovery of the price happens but still people do always failed out to sustain or make themselves on holding state which they do decide up to cut losses while the market is still on bearish. If you cant hold then most likely you will lose money and when market turns green then you will surely regret specially when you didn't able to buyback while it was still cheap. If someone loses money then its normal that someone do make money as well.

Is it because you sell to early or you start late here? If it is because you sell early, i think its normal for most of people here. Everyone might sell too early when they first got their coins. Take it as a lesson for you to grow more. If youre dissapointed because you start late, its okay. Because its never been too late for a person to be curious to learn about investing.

I'm really disappointed with myself now because of Verge. Way back June 2017, I bought $200 worth of XVG and I sold it last week a day before the pump happened. It could be worth more than $5k now if I just HODL. Cry Well, I need to move on and learn from this mistakes. This will be a lesson for me to have patience and wait for the right time to sell my coins. The reason why I sold it was because I need more funds to buy another coin. I'm happy with the coin I bought because I can now see that it is now starting to pump. Maybe, I'm just half disappointed every time I'm seeing the current value of Verge. I bought some XVG again and will surely hold it this time. Smiley I hope that this experience of mine can be a good example for everyone especially the newbies in this community.
For me so that I will never regret anymore only two to three months i wanted to hold and after that I've decided to sell my profits.Because theres a lot of big chances for crypto currency rather than to be stagnant.

I think almost everyone has such a story because nobody can predict exactly the future.
I believe that there is no need to regret this. No one can predict the future, even experienced traders who have re-read a lot of smart books make big mistakes. We just need to try to draw conclusions from the existing situations and move on.

Being patient is maybe the most important thing, if you have coins. Cryptocurrencies are really different from the other traditional currencies, in the terms of the volatility. In my opinion, you should know when to hold and sell your coins well.
right. Let's take a look at the crypto market similar to the stock market. We should have more experience in the field of investment and have profound experience in the market. That will help us know when to sell and should hold. We can refer to some books related to stock investment strategies.

Somebody should hold until he can, if the will goes missing, the investor is going to regret even the beginning of his journey in cryptos.
I think that we must not force anybody to keep holding or selling, regardless our good faith in that

Do you invest in some other coin instead of Virge? The best way for earning crypto currency is distribution of investements. I think you should buy anything else and it would be better if you buy some top alts and hodl it for a long time.
That is why I am holding a potential coin too, I don't want to regret in the future that is why I am making right decision for myself as I don't want to lose my temper and don't have enough patience so I keep positive always.

People learnt from their mistakes but there are some who just can't do it right in trading resulting of big profit loss. Before entering this kind of trading career, make sure that a trader knows the flow or the cycles of market. If you think that you can handle the fluctuations and accept some loss, hold your investments but if not, better sell them right away before the total down trend so that you won't regret big time.

Yes, hindsight can be a pain when it appears that a sub-optimal trade occurred. The best thing that can be done is to evaluate what could've been done better and to move on ensuring you don't make the same mistake again.
