I'm really disappointed with myself now because of Verge. Way back June 2017, I bought $200 worth of XVG and I sold it last week a day before the pump happened. It could be worth more than $5k now if I just HODL. Cry Well, I need to move on and learn from this mistakes. This will be a lesson for me to have patience and wait for the right time to sell my coins. The reason why I sold it was because I need more funds to buy another coin. I'm happy with the coin I bought because I can now see that it is now starting to pump. Maybe, I'm just half disappointed every time I'm seeing the current value of Verge. I bought some XVG again and will surely hold it this time. Smiley I hope that this experience of mine can be a good example for everyone especially the newbies in this community.

All of us have experienced, even I bought Ethereum for a fairly high price of $ 1,000, now the price of Ethereum is $ 408.55. this is so bad Cry. I have to hold for a long time so as not to lose.
This is an experience for us users of cryptocurrency. At the beginning of the year the price will always go down, only at the end of the year the price of cryptocurrency is high.

Given the latest news about the connection of payment crypto-currency in the main trading networks and even production, growth will be crazy. Worth holding the coins.

It's natural to have it because it's in the trade you need to do. but if you hold it there is a good lesson will not happen again, but if you are in bitcoin you have to keep earning faster and as long as you do not lose money, do not regret losing profit Better to be safe from regret.

I hope your advice to the members of this forum, especially to the newbies, will reach far. This is really important for all of us to realize. Regret is sad and it is even more sad because a lot of us here have needlessly gone through several rounds of regrets before finally coming into a realization that holding is really needed in this kind of investment. We do not have to actually go through this negative experience just to learn a significant lesson of holding. But sometimes, this is exactly what we need.

for sure i will hold iota for a years or atleast half of years. i believe it will sky rocket in few month and i dont want to regret to sell iota undervalue. i been regret my decision to sell ripple on 0.4$ now its almost 1$ thats my biggest decision for me
it seems that Iota is a good and promising coin. and my hope Iota can also be a mainstay coin with rapidly growing tomorrow. and I see Iota continues to show quite good progress and gradually.

The price of the cryptocurrency now are really low. The price of ethereum from 800 is drop to the 522 the bitcoin from 10000$ drop the the 8000$ i don't think if it is a good chance or oppurtunity to buy . And for the holders i know that it is really difficult because you're not sure if the coin you hold are worth it.
Everything drops and that is normal because after a pump we have to go through the correction process.
But, if we think this will not go up again, then I would say it's a wrong thinking, we have been seeing a trend like this and I know time
will come another big pump will come and will reward those who hold tight.

So...

Take profit and you'll never feel bad about it.

Take ripple.

I bought 1500 for less than 25 cents a piece.

I sold some at 1.50 and some again at 2.60 or so and then just put the last 200 I had on my ledger and will forget about them for a few years.

I did the same for stellar and ADA etc.   Sold portions of them at profit intervals I felt comfortable with.    Now, whether they go out of business or whatever,  I've made money.  Those will just be in cold storage till either they just go crazy or whatever.

I would have made a killing just waiting for it to sell at 3.00+  but do I feel bad..  Nope.

And taking profit means putting it in your bank account or buying something with it.  Not just putting it in another coin.

I have done both, and I've sold at a loss before $300.  It hurt, but it also made me learn why I did it and why I got into that spot....I was watching the charts.  So now, I set limits and turn off the trading views.

You could set some for profits you want in the future.  A friend did that on this last LTC bump up in february and made out well.

In my opinion it is natural to have it because in trade you need to do it but when you hold it there is a good lesson so it will not happen again, but if you are in bitcoin you should continue to ensure faster income and as long as you do not lose money, do not regret losing profit. Better to be safe than sorry.

I always HODL on to coins in my portfolio because I am not affected in the short dip that happens in the market because I think it's worth the wait.
Yes, I also think that in this situation you need HODL your coins. This is the best strategy when the market turns red. Surrendering to panic means losing money.  Wink

both of you are right, I see that when we are holding your coins and we don't panic with the bad situations, we can reach a big profit in the future. besides that, if we want to hold the coin, make sure that we can control our emotion because when the price is going too deep, sometimes our emotion will be attracted to become panic and we can sell our coin with fast.

I read most of the regret stories of every members in this forum to gain lessons so it will not happen to me just in case I want sell my Altcoins and not losing money.
I decide to hold my Altcoins since I joined this forum because I have a full-time job that could support my family's basic needs so I could hold my Crypto Assets because I do believe that I could get higher income in the next few months or a year.

If you have a job, keep coins for several years and then you and everyone else are surprised at the cost of these coins. You will earn a lot!

Better hold for as long as you can. And even though you want to sell off make sure you are not losing on it.
Hold as long as you can and become bagholder  Grin
Nobody shouldn't hold altcoins too long, there is time for buying and time for selling. If you hold it as long as you can then you are only holding them, you are not doing anything with them, so what is their use?

Regret is a bad feeling that is not pleasant experience!  There is no joy or fun in murmuring I could have.  Should have,,  would have done this or that.  It is important we are happy and that our deepest desire come true. Buy Bitcoin and you will save yourself of regret.
