We are still in very beginning of cryptocurrency adoption, there are a lot of room for those cryptocurrency. I prefer like to hold rather than sell it immediately, it is not wise.

I'm really disappointed with myself now because of Verge. Way back June 2017, I bought $200 worth of XVG and I sold it last week a day before the pump happened. It could be worth more than $5k now if I just HODL. Cry Well, I need to move on and learn from this mistakes. This will be a lesson for me to have patience and wait for the right time to sell my coins. The reason why I sold it was because I need more funds to buy another coin. I'm happy with the coin I bought because I can now see that it is now starting to pump. Maybe, I'm just half disappointed every time I'm seeing the current value of Verge. I bought some XVG again and will surely hold it this time. Smiley I hope that this experience of mine can be a good example for everyone especially the newbies in this community.

Yeah you are right about that it's happen to me last year but that time i think to much my regret then regret was lost and i think positive on that time that's happen to learn me a lesson in hold in token i have when the pump of token is near.

Have a portion of your holding for your trading, and the rest for your hodling. Gonna be diversified. I don't advise a pure holding strategy. You can accumatate more of your coins in trading

HODL or regret applies to projects that have a good team and the developments are progressive.  Sometimes HODLing a fallen knife project will lead to regret, for example HODLing Bitconnect isn't a wise thing to do.  It's better to cut your losses and move on.

In my opinion it is natural to have it because in trade you need to do but when you hold it there is a good lesson will not be repeated again, but if you are in bitcoin you will have to keep earning faster and as long as you do not lose money, do not regret losing profit Better to be safe from regret

Yes, I also have such a story. I used to have a job that gave me a lot of Bitcoin, but I never invested and did not want to know about investments. At that time I was afraid if I give me a lot of money, then suddenly the price of Bitcoin will go down or Bitcoin will crash and nothing else. At that time I did not know that Bitcoin's price would be the way it is today. And if I keep Bitcoin mine at that moment, maybe now I've become a rich man. But it does not matter, because now there is still a chance. I can not continue to regret and must do my best. I have to learn from experience and gather as much Bitcoin as I can.

Same history here. I used to earn BTC and also to give them up, as a kind of present. It was like a game at the beginning. I still remember those times when people gave you 2 or 3 bitcoins as a tip!!! I don't regret I didn't hodl, for none of us could predict how it was going to rise.
But surely many people from those times would be rich now just by seeing Bitcoin as a long time investment!!
Well, not space to regret here. Now we know how this works it is time to make money, folks!

Sometimes its good to hold, if the token is not yet listed or the market value in some exchanges is not yet high. You will only regret if you sell it directly even the price is so low, You wont regret in hodling tokens if you know that the project in the next couple of months or year. No one knows when the  token will go hype or pump.

I am always holding, Holder will go to the moon. Though holding requires your patience. I learnt my lesson when I sold my sc coin two later it went up so high and i still regret till date. So right now I am holding no matter how bad the market is.
It's normal that you make wrong decisions sometimes as nobody can perfectly predict the price movement. Learn
your lessons and move on, even if the coin we are investing now is down, you can still hold and the next
time it will rise, just make sure you pull the trigger to sell.

This happens to the best of us from time to time.. I experienced this as well and I believe many others do for sure.
You are right, hopefully, newbies in the crypto trading should take this lesson well in their trading and I am an advocate that trading newbies be equipped with the right information and trading advice so that they will have good first impressions to cryptocurrency trading.

I think that the best option is to hold it, but do not be greedy, and when the coin makes a big profit, sell it because in 95% you can then buy cheaper

It's impossible to keep a coin for several years thoughtlessly. You must track the project and be able to analyze the overall trend of the development. You should be able to understand when to get out at the highest price. It's not easy at all. Never give up!
Why that's impossible, i believe some ico participants of ethereum had never thought if the ethereum can worth a lot right now. I see some ethereum ico address that still saves more than 400k ethereum.

But the promising project will always worth to keep them for the long-term development progress.

If I buy a coin for a long time, then I send it to the hardware purse. It protects me from the temptation to sell a coin ahead of time. This is a very convenient strategy.

Indeed, if you are in the US you have to have a massive ego if you think you can overcome the difference in short-term vs long-term capital gains taxes.  Then factor in the stress of constantly glued to the markets its an easy decision to buy and hold for me.  I'm with projects with great teams, great vision and history of execution and customers.  60% XRP, 23% NEO and 17% FCT.  I'm just going to patiently wait for 3-5 years until I hit my exit #, pay my 20% taxes and buy a whole lot of commercial real estate.  I'm happy to deal with the IRS if they want to come knocking, buy and hold keeps the portfolio simple and easy to manage.  Invest what you are prepared to lose and just relax.

Cryptocurrency is not about regrets. You should have a kind of conversation with yourself and agree at what price you are going to sell a coin. I mean you should decide how much profit would be enough for you. And sell at this pice. And never regret you could have held i a little bit longer. There are lot of future gains you may miss in regrets.

When there is a bullish trend sell all altcoins and buy bitcoin and ethereum for long-term storage.  Cool
