What is the best and easiest wallet for this airdrop and also to store your coins safely?
I have downloaded the official wallet, but you have to download the whole blockchain there. Is there an easier way right now actually? Where my coins are also safe

Option 1:
You can use the light wallet provided by jelurida (running on a VPS):

Option 2 (most secure):
You can also change this line (at nxt/conf/nxt-default.properties):
nxt.isLightClient=false
to
nxt.isLightClient=true
and you won't have to download the blockchain.
Your coins would be fully secure.

The NXT asset exchange is the NXT client in my understanding. Otherwise i do not know what your are talking about.
I mean this exchange. Is it safe and valid for the airdrop?

The wallet at https://wallet.mynxt.info/
is provided by a third party running for years. It is possible to use that wallet, but you'll need your passphrase to access your Ardor and IGNIS coins on the ardor platform eventually. Check this how to extract the passphrase from mynxt.info:

Unless i'm mistaken, option 1 seems as secure as mynxt.info, but much more simple to use.
