Holding is good especially when you hold good coins. I know you'll ask "what is good coin?" and "how will one know a coin is good?". You can know a coin is good and has greater potential to rise when you do a thorough research into the project. Most of the coins which turns to be shit coins after holding is run by inexperienced developers and team without any good credentials. It is good and smart to check the status and credentials of the developer and his team to establish some level of confidence in the project and coin before you can decide to hold it for long.

The choices of coins you hold matters relevantly, if it were the case of bitcoins, ethereum and monero being
the coins you have, that would make holding quite brilliant and smart. Because these coins are strong and
potentially profitable over long periods. People researched and monitored these coins throughout the tenure
and growth in the market. But with the coins you have, proper research and close monitoring should have
been established in order for you to have decided earlier on selling or holding them more. Holding is a very
good strategy but requires patience and awareness on the ever changing market conditions.

I disagree with the thought process here. 3 bad coins do not mean you should not hold. To me holding is about doing your research and holding 10 to 20 different coins slowly selling those that go up incrementally. To me even if you miss on a few you have to be awfully unlucky for a few to not hit you with big gains.

At the current market situation, I think HODL is not an option, Im doing buy low sell high at the moment to increase my tokens/ coins. Of course this could be high risk but the market situation of up & down is doable if you always stay alert on market changes...

You can use apps to set alerts so you can react on time whenever there is up & down in the market

No it's not. Holding a coins will not start at buying a coins you want. You have to start your own research first on the coins you want to buy you need to check everything their roadmap, projects, team and community after that you will notice if that coins are worth for holding. Holding also mean it takes months/years and not days/weeks.

It is not bullshit i guess. Hold on and let go on timing. Holding on for the right and letting go at the right time too. Its all about the right timing and enough patience for this crypto coins.

It seems that you are wrong in choosing a coin, you have to choose a coin that deserves to hold in the long run. Excitement, you will definitely benefit from the coins you hold.

It's because you do not hold a good coin, so do not blame others if your loss is due to your mistakes, I think you need self-control and think longer to analyze a good coin to hold and coin that is not good to hold, try to learn more about growth, analysis and prediction.

Always learn to know why the coins didn't grow. Might be because of the project itself or maybe the team behind it? You know how market work. You should know the roadmap of the project and it will help you determine the future of the coin.

i guess the op is sick of hodling a coin because of the fluctuations and he cant just earn a successive income. he doesnt care whether he holds a bitcoin or etherium because his main problem is the volatility and he thinks that hodling or investing is sucks. i betted suggest to op , that he should better quit investing in cryptos because he is too impatient. we all know that patience is the key in order to earn a descent income

I just Hold in BTC and ETH.

In my opinion, Holding on to it is not necessary and will only produce anything, The idea of finding something depends on what you hold. You will do some research on the coins before deciding to get out and by doing that you will know if the coins you keep are still worth keeping.

Really don't understand why you have bought these unknown alts? Why haven't you buought some more wild used coins such as stellar, waves, monero?! And why did you continued holding coins if they were stable for more than two years? Why didn't you sell them and buy some other coins?

Many early holders had the opportunity to cash out at the big peak that markets went through in 2017 but sadly that wasn't the case for some. Through the years, people involved with crypto hadn't always kept their faith with many selling at much lower price points. Holding is not adviceable when the price is climbing very fast. Holding a bit long during this stage may lead to a regret for ever holding anything. When you realise the price has climped to its peak, just sell.As simple as that.
