Holding bitcoin is good for long-term hold, and it is risky as Bitcoin price can change daily abd the range of buying and selling is too big, so every time the price greatly down its like a heart attack,
Trading is risky holding it for long is not not that too risky

As indicated by predictions bitcoin should have achieved 15k$ by end of 2017 and fall in first week of jan 2018

In any case, shockingly its effectively reached 17k$ in 2017.

Should I purchase or hold my btc?I don't plan to sell at any point in the near future.
I think it's wise to keep holding, and in my view the bitcoin will rise to about $50,000, and then the bubble will come.

Purchase and hold then keep on doing that until you reach a certain amount that you are satisfied with.
You already said it. It can reach high amounts which cannot be done by other commodities or currencies so expectations are really high with bitcoin. With that, more investors will come again as time flies by.

Definitely, there will be risks in investing. I believe in bitcoin and I am holding as well.

If you feel good about Bitcoin, of course you can buy more, but buy within your means.

Bitcoin is very risky, which is evident in what you said, the bitcoin value is very unstable, it pumps up very fast and the dump is the same, and this greatly affects the altcoin  Undecided

anything what you doing in crypto currency have a risky, but you should believe if bitcoin will give you many advantages in the future.. if you want to hold your coin, don't get panic when bitcoin price goes down, just continue to hold until bitcoin price reach very high price and then you can sell it..

whatever happens if you want to do bitcoin hoarding, buying is the most appropriate step, though bitcoin prices are currently expensive. because that's the step many do the hoarders. hold and sell in the next few years the risk you have to take

Investing in bitcoin is a risk, as the value can crash tomorrow.
I'm holding too so far, I believe in what bitcoin represents, so I'm taking the risk. Don't invest more than what you can afford to lose however, but if you can, you should buy more.
Also have a look in other cryptocurrencies.
Investing Bitcoin today is quite risky because sudden drop of price would cause panic. But in my observation the price today  caused by a natural phenominum that it realy soaring high because investors is realy flooding to invest and hold. For the year 2018 I think it would continue to rise
and its safer to invest from the start of the year.

I think holding bitcoin is not a risky thing because holding it sometimes your income will be double or will be triple. It is actually a good idea to hold bitcoin as a saving for the future.

The smaller you gain is the lower the risk therefore if you aim for a bigger gaining the higher the risk too that you should be preparing. To control the risk you should do constantly monitoring of the market value and always have a deep research by using the power of internet as a tool for you to be able to decide to sell it right away or hoard it for a long term investment.

My next move in that situation is to hold and then invest my bitcoins into alt coins. Since transaction fees are very high for btc, alt coins will give you a flexible way to earn profits.

Holding it's not a risky job. You just sit and waiting for it's grow. Trading it is risky, not holding.

If you understand the risks of holding and you know what you are doing then just do what you want. After all, I guess you will not made a plan like that if you don't do analyzation. No one knows what will happened in the future so try it and see for yourself.

It's risky but like I said if you really understand what you're doing then you can play the game. And honestly, putting money on bitcoin is a risky method that is worth to give a shot since we have lots of reasons to believe on that. Goal for long term. If you have guts to spend money at the current bitcoin price rate, then go.

All investment are risky. I personally holding bitcoin but my goal is to make more profit. It is my choice because I know in the near future bitcoin will raise it's value. I dont want to regret. If I were you try to invest in bitcoin it is not too late or try to split your investment in different coins.

From the first bitcoin investment you are at risk, and then sell or hold bitcoin is also a risk. Bitcoin is risky so the right decision is needed.

well this only proves that you shouldn't be listening to random people and think of what they say as "predictions". they are making random guesses instead and convince you that it is a prediction.

you are talking about holding in your title so you shouldn't be concerned that much about the short term prices. the medium price is currently at around $13500-$14000 and in short term that will go up and down about 5-10% buy anywhere here and buy a lot if it went below that resistance and you are good to go.

I personally feel holding will be the key for the conversion of investment into profits. As almost all coins are rising and it still is an initial stage. No big news or update has come that threatens the price to go down.It is the momentum that came from new year and it will continue and i think people will invest and hold for some time.So my advice would be to split your investment into different coins and wait for sometime as prices are rising slowly and would continue till some time.Rest it is your money and final call would always be your's.
