Most long time posters or mods in this site must have a fortune already so there is no motivation for them to create a bitcointalk token. The only one want to create it for profit is new users which I don't think they have any reputation to call people to invest in their coin.
I don't remember the founding date of this forum but since the day I got the job as well as doing part-time work on the airdrop, this forum has been a huge conference for bitcoin and crypto fans as a lot of projects are posted here, count on projects and success, traffic and advertising fees have been a tremendous amount of wealth for the founders. You are right the level of work is more as well as the bright path is too great for them to retire early, the community has been extremely grateful to them and don't need a token in honor, they need a break

This forum doesn't need any token, it already has Bitcoin. Satoshi made Bitcoin on this forum and he discussed it with all forum members at that moment. So, why we should have another token? Bitcoin is more than enough to have, it even becomes the best crypto coin ever. Having another coin or token, looks like a greedy plan. People will think that this forum becomes to be too commercial and only focuses on earning money.

right, the main purpose of this forum I think is for cryptocurrency lovers, so it doesn't need to be commercialized. From the start, this forum has helped many beginners or experienced people to exchange knowledge and developments about cryptocurrencies. so this is just a place to accommodate everything that has to do with cryptocurrencies, and satoshi himself created this forum of course to support the development of crypto and bitcoin adoption

I can't imagine that this forum will having its own token or coin just like other altcoins because what will be their project if it wll planning to make it true ? giving token to those who contributing in this forum ? its not kind of good idea because gaining merit points was so hard then you thinking having bitcointalk coins for your work is just easy? for me its not really not.

This is the birthplace of crypto and many people learnt alot from here. is it not fair for this platform to get a token that can be traded in the market. other content management platform has then own crypto that are been traded and use as a means of rewards to their users.
please don't say bitcoin. currently, not everyone can afford bitcoin now. we need an altcoin as an alternative token here for payment of service.

Why would we need a token as a own payment of service? As far as i know the only thing that you can buy on this forum are the copper member ranks and some ad space. I don't really think this is enough to justify the generation of an own token. I mean a token is generated pretty quickly nowadays but if there are not enough use cases for that token i don't see it survive very long, everyone could just go and create an bitcointalk token on ETH, BSC or waves or whereever they like that would be not the problem. The hard part is to create a ecosystem for this token in order to make sure that this token will be actively needed and therefore also traded. A dead token that no one uses isn't benefiting anyone.

For the sake of neutrality, I think it's better not to link the discussion forum to a single token.

It will be a waste of time creating token for a forum. Who is going to provide liquidity to the project to keep it going except for self funding from theymos and other higher rank.
It will even be a time wasting creating a token for a forum that's solely built and designed for Bitcoin. If OP actually need one, he can form a team and shill the hell out of it, we will promote it as long s we get paid Grin

I didn't think it would happen, because Bitcointalk is a representative forum for discussions about Bitcoin and altcoins, so Bitcointalk won't be possible to have its own coin, because this forum has existed for a long time and there is no discourse on making its own coin, so of course until currently it will stay the same (no plans to make its own coin).

This is Bitcoin talk, BTC is the official coin, unless you want to create an Ethereumtalk.

This forum is like an escrow, which is a bridge between projects and investors. With this forum, many people learn about cryptocurrencies, and share the latest developments in the crypto world. on the other hand we can also learn about how to trade and invest as well as strategies to make a profit. so i don't think about this forum to have its own coin

But this platform is absolutely free of cost and only for few business requirements, you may need to pay a small fee. Hence in my opinion, comparing bitcointalk with any other content management platform is not making any sense. It is a community built for supporting bitcoin hence it is highly meaningful if bitcoin remains as primary thing among this community.

please don't say bitcoin. currently, not everyone can afford bitcoin now. we need an altcoin as an alternative token here for payment of service.
When bitcoin is infinitely divisible, anyone could afford it and right now bitcoin transaction fees are very lower compared to what we had some 3 or 6 months back. So, definitely there is no need of an alternative token for this community.

I think not much, because this sites is only make revenue from ads. No fee for creating accounts, selling services or any threads making is for free. It's totally supposed to create a biggest cryptocurrency forum to make this crypto space growing. I'm also sure the owner of this coin was joining crypto and bought bitcoin a long time ago, so i think they are already rich and don't have to make money from this site anymore.

It is strange, isn't it?. Bitcointalk is the first cryptocurrency forum, and it was established in November 2009. Satoshi himself was an active user here for more than a year. The earliest adopters all had their accounts here and during the early days the entire development work was discussed in this forum before being implemented. How can such a forum have near-zero valuation? Ideally it should be having a valuation of a few billion USD, right? If BNB can have a market cap of $56 billion, then what prevents Bitcointalk from having a similar valuation, given the fact that the marketplace here is much older than Binance?

I really don't think there will be a bitcointalk token, this forum was created by Satoshi Nakamoto itself why would we create a token out of this forum. This forum is for discussion and why do we need a bitcointalk token to pay if we have Bitcoin? Of course it's not cheap since it has a value.

Yes mate, this kind if discussion have been shown several times, and  i think its never be a bitcointalks token, its just public forum where we share knowledge about cryptos information, some of us make this forum as their playground and some more make this forum as their office to make income.
Bitcointalk never turn into a crypto firm IMHO.

I don't know how much revenue this forum generates. Even if it generates any revenue, the maintenance charges may neutralize it. This situation may change in the future and the token rollout can be considered then. But right now I don't think that it will be a good idea to come up with a Bitcointalk token. BTW, how many active users we have right now? It should be around 10,000 if I am not wrong? BPIP lists a total of 98,735 active profiles, but those who make posts at least one in a week may be around 10,000 IMO.

Thats impossible to happen this forum is for btc and no other coin will be created unless theymos decided to create a utility token to be use only in this forum Im thinking of the current merit to become a utility token and the supply is according to the total existing number of merits for sure it will be expensive when traded but looks too impossible for this idea.

There is no hint by theymos that he is interested in any bitcointalk token. I think its not necessary as this is bitcoin forum and our token is only Bitcoin BTC.
Also there is no use case to introduce such a token other than to make money which is not required by this forum.

Yes, obviously Theymos has accepted bitcoin or grin maybe, but to have our own token just for pure hype and pump-and-dump? I don't think he will like the idea of it.

This has been discussed many times before and there is no way bitcointalk will do that, if they wanted to then a long time ago maybe along with the creation of the forum they have done that, so I hope you don't associate forums with tokens. This is just a place to get a lot of information

You have to understand that during the creation of this community, there is no altcoins yet? and ever this is, altcoin is just minority and people chooses BTC as the prime mover of cryptocurrency market.

But I do agree that the community has evolved so much, from BTC to altcoins, but this still remains as predominantly BTC, 90%.

And if there's a coin that says the same name as the forum, it's a total scam. As said, the forum won't produce any type of token that's under the wings of the forum.
This thread should be locked already as there's no token that will be released named after the forum.

"There is no justice for those who cannot compete". We always hear this word of wisdom everywhere to justify those who have everything, the platform like what you mean does not get tokens to trade, isn't sales very much determined by demand.

There are many alternatives in Altcoins today to use, just look for opportunities and the right time to invest, Bitcoin itself takes a very long time to make them top 1, meaning that all coins have the same potential in the crypto world, the only difference is how the coins itself in promoting to gain people's trust.

Likewise with Altcoins, when more and more are launched, the extent of their influence and profits for people to invest, if this is not fulfilled and cannot be presented by altcoins, they will never be able to match Bitcoin. Doge has now proven that they have good opportunities in the future, although not as much as Bitcoin.
