That's why online gambling is also good because you don't need anyone to pay you your winnings as you can just make withdrawals on your own without anyone even knowing though I also learnt that when a winning involves a huge amount of money that the gambler would undergo KYC on the online platform and do some verification and some gamblers also experienced that some KYC information takes longer time before validation so it's really frustrating when one wins a bet and finds it difficult to get his/her winning and most of this gambling companies are very dubious as what some of them does is to delay winnings and wait for a massive loss so that they can pay you from losses of other gamblers.

In this case, the betting shop or the owner is not the dubious party. The owner should side with the gambler and help him get justice from the scammers that the shop only happened to hire. The betting shop's owner himself should immediately fire his workers, file a separate case against them, and make sure they will pay for the crime they did. This is not just for the gambler, who is the main victim here, but also in the name of the betting shop because their reputation is also affected.

The challenges with Betting shop is that when you win a huge amount of money, the agent don't have such an amount with them until they make a call to the headquarter, submit the won ticket and they credit the agent to pay the gambler that won the amount. I think this is the place where the bet shop owner run away with th money, he used the gambler money to run out of the country, what was he even thinking? Well, he might have think while working as an agent for 5 years, he will never make up to that amount but this is pure stealing and should be brought to justice.

This should be a lesson for gamblers that love to use betting shop, your phone is enough to bet all the kind of bet you want. If you don't have a phone, I think it's better to stop gambling for now and focus on getting a phone or use a friend phone and when you are done, you logout or better still, use incognito mode to do everything on the casino so that your password or session don't get save in the casino.

You have to understand that when you have a win the bet shop knows and the only reason they demand for your ticket to make payment is to be sure that they are paying the right person. Even without giving them your ticket if the intention is to scam you, there is nothing you can do. This is one of the likely problems with offline gambling and that is why online gambling is safer but then I have also heard stories of bet accounts being closed after a gambler won big. Though it is an unverifiable story I didn't take it seriously.

Well, it can't be helped as the government or authorities don't have the rights or authority to punish those crypto casinos, which means they have no power in that field as they can't control or manipulate that thing. In terms of casinos or online betting, authorities have the rights or power to publish anyone as long as it is proven that the establishment is doing anomalies and the victims will report it. But if the agreement is done privately between the customer and owner, then that will be a different case, as it is the customer's fault that he didn't have any contract or written agreement about him using an agent. But the sense that the agent is trying to scam him proves that most agents are not trustworthy. The only thing that the OP can do is take legal action, and he will probably win the legal battles as long as the transaction is legal between the customer and the agent.

This is one of the disadvantage in playing bets in gambling shops. Similar incidents like this happens in gambling shops and other funny stories related to gambling win. Some agents and workers that are in the gambling shops are evil, some can do anything just to claim your win this is why I prefer playing bet online, this is better for safety purpose. Apart from agent and gambling workers trying to claim customers win, I have come across robbery case of money stolen from lucky winner in gambling shop.

I think the best place to play bet is online expecially when using a reliable platform to bet, it is more safer than using the physical gambling platform because in the physical gambling shop most times playing bet is not private, the workers in the shop and other bettors can get to know what is taking place.

Judging by the description here sounds like you live in a very corrupted country to say the minimum.How can they give bail to some people who scam,where I live someone of the betting shops long time ago when they were permitted tried to do this "smart" move and the bettor got and place a complaint in the authority observing these betting shops,although a corrupt country the authorities confiscated every thing to the betting shop,shut down the company and give the bettor every thing he won making a real decisive action at that time that people,bettors are protected.

That is what that country authorities should do to as the casinos,gambling shops and lotto clubs are paying huge taxes to the government,they need to regulate this.

It's a pretty normal case if you ask me. The people who handled the money wanted to steal the bet, thinking they can get away with it. I wouldn't blame the betting company, but the office employees, and this is obviously how that case was eventually handled by the police. Betting in third world countries known for people who would kill you for a bit of money is always a bad idea.

How can a shop be dubious? It can if it's located in a very poor country where people work their assess off whole month for what a person in US, Canada or the EU makes in a day. They will always try to scam you because they feel like they're wasting their lives not getting any real profit.

As to the story or news, I think everyone has to be blame as they all have responsibility to each other, the betting shop and the agent. Now, this one was already taken to the court, I'm hoping the justice system is fair and their will be decision as soon as possible, but that's my take.

The title says betting shop and the first thing came to my mind is offline gambling. I know online gambling is easy now but not all people likes it. The betting agent must be a worker of a betting shop but I know we can also ask them to place a bet for us and we don't know maybe that agent offered something good to the man like he knows what will be the result of the game, something like that and see, they even won but the only bad part is that he won't give all or most of the money at least to the guy.

The URL says "naija" and then there is also " n16-7m " which might be a Nigerian currency, so my guess is the incident happened in Nigeria.

There should be enough proof that you win if you have the ticket. Even without the agent, you can still claim that money. Though I'm not really sure about the arrangement on this particular country where this betting shop is operating, but it's pretty simple, you got the evidence, you can claim the money.

When a gambling site is not honoring it, it just speak a lot about their reputation, they are scammers and cannot be trusted. Maybe if this winner who file a case will win, that would be the end of the betting shop. Imagine, scammers risking their reputation on that small amount?
