How many people on this thread actually use bitcoin, as opposed to just speculating with it?

Very few. Steam closed it's bitcoin option partly because of the fees and delays back in Dec 2017 and partly because very few people were using it as a payment method. If you don't use it, you lose it.

Lots of the infrastructure that was painstakingly built in the 2013-2015 period has been dismantled because no-one uses it, they just speculate and gamble.

So, the solution is to get this community to use it first so that commercial use of bitcoin is viable, before we try to persuade the general public.

There is no point in encoraging them to do that because they should learn first what bitcoin is all about. We know that many users here with bitcoin has decided first to learn about it before thinking on joining it. The users should advise to join at their own risk. Then if they invest it should be the amount that they can afford to lose.

I must share what I think should be the right approach to solve this problem,

When you use MasterCard or visa card, or when you use PayPal do you have to learn the underline tech in it?
Do you even want to know how does the process happens?

We all need to be highly tech focused, where as most of the companies currently are only money driven, investment driven, and no one knows what is happening and why is it even happening. It's all hype driven, emotions driven. If you first build a proper technology where even a local vendor gets benefited by using bitcoin, s/he will accept payments in cryptos.

There are many other factors, like price fluctuation, but stable coins will surely solve this problem. So may be bitcoins may not be accepted but stable coins would surely be accepted as payments, I recently travelled to Australia and payed in dash at many places, similarly in Universal Studios in Singapore many vendors accepted cryptocurrencies. So the acceptance will come by one day at a time.

Yeah I agree with you still have long time for people to learn and use Bitcoin as currency. We all know that not all countries agree on the existence of the Bitcoin so lower class community knowledge is still very minimal against Bitcoin.

Many people are too lazy to spend their time on learning Bitcoins. They also have a kind of a mind stagnation - it happens when a person does not want to use anything new as he simply does not care about it.

we also have to introduce bitcoin to those who don't know whether they still don't believe in making them explore bitcoin so they believe and moreover if they get profit, they will be more trusting. Direct payments in Bitcoin may not become very popular for some time. Because Bitcoin is having such a volatile exchange rate, it may not be viable for the users to make frequent payments with it. In order to make payments, we might need to use an intermediary, such as a pre-paid debit card. Even if the exchange rates gets stabilized, there are other issues, such as the delay in getting confirmations.

From this part of generation maybe yes the difficulties to attract people to invest in will still at doubt, but sooner or later when things have been fully established and most of the good part of bitcoin as a currency and can be used as payment process it will soon bring good things for our investment,

Gifting is really a good way of spreading the use of bitcoin. In our services section there was an user who used to carve the QR code of the wallet and present it to users. This is quite good, when gifted surely they'll try to explore and find what it is all about. If they start to explore surely they'll tend to use further.

That's certainly true, mate. Without the Lightning Network, Bitcoin would be used more as a store of value than a currency for day-to-day transactions. It's important to keep this mind, as adoption in the mainstream world is crucial for the survival of any cryptocurrency. As Bitcoin is the most popular crypto to date, it still lacks massive mainstream adoption because of the limitations stated above.

But, with the Lightning Network, things will change for the better as transactions become cheaper and faster to perform. Only then, micro-payments would become possible allowing people to use Bitcoin for many things in daily life such as buying a cup of coffee or tipping others. You can't do it by force, let them naturally learn the potential and know the advantages once they know the true purpose of BTC, you can't stop the doubters but you can prove them wrong by simply letting time go by, in the future Bitcoin may be as bigger as what it is right now, the sooner the better they'll realize.

Gift is a good Idea and they be curious and asking more about what is bitcoin and that's the time you will tell to the person you gift bitcoin the information and advatanges to having bitcoin and try to do your best so they will follow you to invest also to crypto.

But now people have awareness about bitcoin, and i saw a lot of people using bitcoin, because of holding, only they don't want to use it in buy online something, but little bit they are using in payment transfer.
