I guess it will take time for people to use bitcoin as currency though people have been using it to transact. I guess it still needs time since a lot of people are still doubting it's volatility. If people would be educated about it and would realize the capability of bitcoin to go more, it would be a great start to have it as a currency and things would be just easy.

We can and we can convince them but the problem is there is not much ways and not much markets that accept cryptocurrency so even if bitcoin is the only currency we have at the moment and we wanna use them to buy our basic necessities we still don't have a choice but to exchange them to fiat to be able to be useful. We cannot blame merchants for not counting on bitcoin as their accepted currencies they don't wanna lose in times of bitcoin price decline.

How can we get people to use bitcoin as a real currency and not just a quick way to get cash as a lot of people seem to do? When I say currency, I mean the literal definition of currency as something that is used as a medium of exchange.
Even online, there are only a few stores who are accepting it as payment.
Cryptocurrencies have to be added as medium of exchange by the biggest online payment systems and e-commerce companies. Thus mass adoption will happen and people will use cryptocurrencies for payments.

1. Educate people.
Until now many do not know anything about cryptocurrencies.

2. Create more apps that use bitcoin.
It is easier with ethereum because of dapps functionality.

Bitcoin BTC can be a currency only if its price is stable.

I don't think being stable is a basis for being a currency. Even Fiat currencies has a fluctuating value in the world market, how much more in digital world. That's why we call them cryptocurrency because they are currency in different use and in digital means.

..we cannot force people to use Bitcoin as our mode of currency..it is someone's will to accept and use it in making transaction..it is sad to hear that a lot of people uses Bitcoin in order to rapidly get a lot of money, not knowing that by doing this,,they could sank Bitcoin's reputation because of the pump up and down of it's price..if we encourage everyone and help each other to promote the essence of the use of Bitcoin and avoid breaking Bitcoin image,,probably a mass adoptation of Bitcoin will happen

in my opinion the role of the government is very necessary when crypto currencies are made a means of payment so that it requires a relatively long time and the community must be given a learning as the science of using the money crypto when it starts being formalized.

Show them how bitcoin can be an alternative way of paying things, better than any other payment methods that have ever existed. No middle man involved, direct p2p transactions. Directly tell them that it will lesser their fees for transactions especially with large amount of money via abroad or even locally. Show them that they can be at ease, secured money with no worries of being stolen. Instant withdrawal of money, no delays. This kind of things, put some sugar coating to what bitcoin can do, stuffs that are nice to hear are a good start for an ignorant listener.

Agree. It's often good to present people the true benefits of Bitcoin, as this will spur mainstream adoption. Without adoption, only a small number of people will use Bitcoin as a currency for daily payments. What seems to gather the most attention from people though, is businesses and companies accepting Bitcoin for payments. As such, the more popular Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies become, the better as they would be used more as an alternative currency to Fiat.

Nonetheless, I believe that a great way to make people use Bitcoin as a currency would be to give away some free coins (Satoshis) to anyone within your region. Just my opinion Smiley

You are saying like the society already knew Bitcoin in the past.

Even if we introduce Bitcoin to the community, will you be willing to give them some Bitcoins you own so they can start their investment or them to start using it as a payment method? I don't think so. In our place, I will not be introducing it to them but I would love to tell them something about it. It is not that I don't want for them to use it, its just that most of the people can't afford it.

While it's true that most people can't afford to own a whole Bitcoin (1 BTC), it's possible to do perform micro investments on it. As such, anyone can own a fraction of a Bitcoin according his/her budget. Based on current rates, it takes an average of $20 USD to own just 0.005 Bitcoin. All we need to do is simply educate people about how divisible Bitcoin is relative to Fiat.

Things aside, I believe that the one thing stopping most people from using Bitcoin as a currency is the lack of regulation and stability. If Bitcoin becomes a stable cryptocurrency across the market, regulated by worldwide governments, then FUD will be a thing of the past. However, at Bitcoin's current state, there's a lot of uncertainty, which makes people think twice before investing on it.

Nonetheless, we would need to work together as experienced crypto enthusiasts in order to help drive mainstream adoption towards Bitcoin in ways that were never thought possible. Just my opinion Smiley

Introduction is the most important thing to do to the community so that they can understand about cryptocurrency, because now our society still does not understand about cryptocurrency which makes them still confused

The best way of this called introduction is by bringing mass adoption to the society.
I am aware that we call mass adoption again and again and that it is not so easy to be established by even with a small portion of mass adoption we can plant the seed that will make cryptocurrency market evolve.

it is very difficult to make crypto currencies that can be used by all people because of their confidence and patience in using crypto currencies and legality from the government that can make it all

There's no doubt that people trust more Fiat currencies than cryptocurrencies nowadays. This is largely because, crypto is a highly unregulated sector filled with uncertainty. That's not the case with Fiat, as it's regulatory-compliant and backed by the government. I believe that it will take a while before people could gain confidence into using cryptocurrencies for their daily transactions. Even after 10 years since Bitcoin's launch, there's still a lot to improve before people can get fully into the world of crypto.

First there needs to be massive adoption from mainstream businesses and companies into Bitcoin. But before that happens, there needs to be protocol improvements that will allow Bitcoin to settle transactions instantly and without fees. The Lightning Network will make that possible, and once implemented successfully into the main Bitcoin blockchain as a side layer, things will change for the better. People will realize the benefits of Bitcoin after this and will begin to use it more as a currency than a store of value.

Nonetheless, as governments worldwide recognize Bitcoin as legal tender, more people will come resulting in a larger ecosystem within the future. All that it's needed is time and patience, for Bitcoin to be used as a real currency within the mainstream world. Just my opinion Smiley
Yes we only can introduce bitcoin to our society and show them how your life is getting better with it I am sure they will use and accept it by themselves, you will only have to tell them easy and simple ways of making money with it, now in this era number of bitcoin users is increasing day by day, people just needs some motivation.

but sometimes not many people want to accept our explanation, there are still many who think conventionally, so that they are comfortable with the current conditions. if many accept it, of course it will urge the government to legalize it, so that it is easy to get bitcoin users

Couldn't agree more with you, mate. People need motivation in order to use something that's relatively new to them. Sometimes, it's hard to accept change when you're accustomed to the same thing repeatedly. Which is why, we as crypto enthusiasts should do our best to promote the benefits of Bitcoin to the people of the world. Of course, one cannot deny the flaws inherent within Bitcoin relative to Fiat.

But I believe that Bitcoin will continue to improve over time until it's used by a relatively large amount of people worldwide. With upcoming instant and cheap transactions, adoption will increase no matter what. Therefore, the time will come when people will use Bitcoin as a currency more thoroughly. Just my thoughts Grin

Practically, spreading the word concerning cryptocurrency to friends and family will do the trick. There are still people out there with no knowledge about the existence of cryptocurrency, let alone Bitcoin. The crypto enthusiasts here with governmental positions can also continue advocating for Bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies in order to win the authorization of the governments.

No, you cannot force people to use bitcoin as the main currency due to various reasons:

  • First, there exists a barrier between developed and underdeveloped countries. The technological and financial status of those countries are miles apart and implementing a digital system of currency would mean chaos to people who cannot have access to such;
  • Second, cryptocurrencies in general are not categorized as "money" under the governments of each country;
  • Third, bitcoin's value is highly volatile. It changes everyday without notice and this may be a double-edged sword to the public; and
  • Lastly, the world is too young to adapt in a digitalized currency.

From those standpoints, our world is not fully ready to accept bitcoin as our full-fledged currency for the time being as it will be both detrimental to the country's economy and to the public.
