what does it take to be able to send a pm?

One post.

Thought it was ten to send a message?

Last time I checked, you only needed one post to send a pm.

Is there no other way to "prove" you are not going to troll? It's just making people dumbpost stuff in newbie section, isn't it?
It's quite effective to block both sockpuppet accounts as well as spam bots. The 20 hour delay also makes people rethink why they need to post and go google their issue instead. I've seen a lot of anti spam/troll/newbie systems and this seems like a good compromise.

Oh I didn't see that the post need to be several sentences. So let's make a really nice post, with a lot of sentences. No I'm not a future troll. To prove it, I make a really useless post with nice sentences. Hop again a sentence

Hop again a nice sentence !

Wow what a cool post !

Oh and the 6 minute wait between 2 messages : great idea   Cheesy

The best thing to do is start your own topic. Its the fastest way to get out.

Is it? I think there's too many pointless newbie threads here already. It's better to post in a thread like this if you haven't got anything to say.

I found that if you create your own thread and get a ton of replies, then you rank up faster.

Add to the communcity, more posts inside the newbie sub-forum and you must be online for 4 hours. Than you will ber able to send pms and reply in topics outside the newbie forum.

I too would like to respond to a thread outside the Forum. I'm not a newbie! You guys should just let people buy themselves a quick pass out of here by sending you BTC.
