I'm new here with no knowledge of Bitcoin, I write this as Bitcoin enthusiast that's ready to learn, with the little information i gathered from friends when they were dicusing, I see Bitcoin as an opportunity and am intereested, but my problem is that I want to know way to go, I need help and clarificatioon on the way to go here.

Concise the question, better the help. Narrow down what exactly you seek in your Bitcoin search?

There is a saying, person who don't know what he wants, ends up with lot unwanted. You post exactly what help you need or what clarification you seek and you will get your answer.

Some examples could be: 1) I need help with choosing wallet for my BTC 2) Want to know where can I purchase BTC 3) how do I secure my BTC?

Welcome!

Spend time reading, OP. I guess that's the best start. Almost everything is provided by the internet. The basics of Bitcoin is easily available online. Help is sought when you go beyond the basics. But to somebody who has "no knowledge of Bitcoin", it is sufficient to start with the "what." In which case, a short introduction or perhaps the whitepaper is probably enough for a start.

I'm saying this because this forum, for example, is mostly discussing about things related to or have implications to Bitcoin or certain details about Bitcoin. What is Bitcoin, which is the first thing a newbie should ask, is not the latest topic that's discussed here.

Welcome on board.
It's like the saying "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" so trying to know the way to go is never a problem but the major problem is not understanding the rules and regulations of this forum.
After that i will advise you read the beginners & help encyclopedia a
Edit: Some content seems to be removed from the beginners & help encyclopedia ever since the change of name of the topic creator aka OP. I think the thread of 5 resources to teach Average Joe about Bitcoin. will be a good alternative.

Your search bar is your friend, OP. Utilize it and search whatever question you have in mind. With all the resources available on the internet, it is impossible for a beginner to get lost in this space as tons of resources are free with just a push of a few buttons.

Anyway, there are boards located in this forum where each board represents a specific topic/category. You can skim through the entire forum and read threads that are suitable to your liking or that sparks your curiosity.

Lastly, remember that it is always the journey and not the reward that counts. Good luck on your journey, OP.

Opportunity for what? Earning money? Bitcoin was not created to make money, Bitcoin was created to be used as money. These days Bitcoin is popular as an investment, but it's a risky investment with an unknown chance of success. If you want to invest, you just need to learn how to safely buy/hold/sell. If you can't invest or also want to earn it, then you should start researching all the earning methods like mining or jobs that pay in BTC.

Welcome and your jouney will be great by making this thread as your temporary last one. Why? The resources and links have been placed on this thread and all you need to do is go through with most of them and when you think you're done, try to look for the specific topics that you'll get.
And how to do that? you see the long search box at the top right, that's how you'd do it. Type in the keywords of specific topics you want to search and they'll come out in results.

Knowing about Bitcoin is the first step, listening for information from friends is the second, and getting into this forum is the best step you have ever made.  Just learn how to read and explore the forum boards.  Don't shy away from asking the forum if you have questions, and I believe the link given in the earlier reply will help you a lot in your venture into the Bitcoin Industry.  Just make sure to verify every information you read by cross-checking it with other sources of information.  Your best friend here is the search function if ever you want something to verify or know about.

Btw, welcome to the forum.

I would also add ways to search threads in the forum as it will absolutely come in handy.

1. through ninjastic.space
2. by appending "site:bitcointalk.org" in your searches using your go to search engine. Btw you could also do it in reddit In case searches through reddit website ain't returning thread you want. There are loads of crypto subreddits as well and stuff like this are commonly covered.

I need help and clarificatioon on the way to go here.

Welcome to the world of Bitcoin!

First, read up on what Bitcoin is and how it works - the blockchain, mining digital wallets, all that jazz.  It may seem complex at first but stick with it!  When you've wrapped your head around things it's time to actually buy some Bitcoin! You can purchase from crypto exchanges, peer-to-peer platforms, and even here on this forum.

I hope this helps!

You have said that you have no knowledge about bitcoin How do you understand that bitcoin is an opportunity? I do understand that you are fascinated by the technology and perhaps with the price mostly but without having fundamental knowledge about bitcoin it's just a speculative asset to you. It is great to see you enthusiastic about bitcoin and reaching out to the forum to learn more about it but IMO you should learn how to google first so that you don't need to come to the forum more frequently to ask about every new term you find when learning about bitcoin. Google is an ocean of knowledge so if you learn to boat through it you will discover many miracles.

If you need clarification on whether you should invest in BTC or not, whether it is worth or not then not a single person can guarantee you that, you have to take risks if you want to gain profit. But let's just not call it risk because if you invest in BTC with some knowledge about it for example how to do fundamental or technical analysis and what factors impact the price of BTC and what is the overall trend of BTC. Can it make a new ATH? Questions like these are to be the first to be solved then you will know whether you should take entry or not.

Words of any person will not convince you until your mind and heart are not convinced and they will be convinced when you have the knowledge to feed into your mind and the heart to make this step by processing the mind's knowledge and judging it with heart.

It does not matter if you are new or you just came to know about BTC, all matters is, how much time you can afford to invest in learning about it. If you can invest a lot then in a few days you will learn the basics and try to test new things here. Forum UI is easy to use so it won't be a problem for you.

OP, everyone has their own path here. Some are interested in trading, some prefer to visit technical discussion sections about Bitcoin, and there are fans of alternative coins or people trying to participate in Bounty. But you've been on the forum for more than a month now; aren't there topics in the section for newbies that would lead you to the right movement on the forum? What kind of advice are you looking for?

At this point theymos getting that newbie welcome message is
 kind of a necessity.

Op, read though this thread and also the different links in it, particularly the one to the forum rules.
On any new board you want to discuss on, read the stickie threads.
I agree with you, the most important thing is to know more about the rules and regulations guiding us the Bitcointalk family and also you need to know why you are here, don't be discouraged, always be hungry for knowledge.

You mean how to invest with? I think the question must be to understand first the blockchain and how it works. Well bitcoin is a good study case for that as it explained on their whitepaper. Kindly read that first and see for yourself. Before diving into trading, you need to learn all the things about it and not just risk your money off the hook because your friends says its profitable.

I think the welcome message should be considered and implemented as soon as possible and some suggestions made by others should be considered and added to it so newbies can have proper in depth information about all they need to know else i think we will keep seeing this similar kind of post from newbies everyday. I wonder how they click on the beginners and help board skip the sticky threads and go straight to clicking on “new topic” to post despite seeing the title newbies - read before posting. I don’t know if they are hoping to receive a merit from it but it doesn’t work anymore and they should be well aware of that by now.

OP some users have helped you with some links try not to waste their efforts and make it useful.
