I really do not support the death penalty at all.
I understand why people feel strongly about it but this has always stayed with me; There was a showing of a documentary a few years ago where they followed a group of ex-prisoners who had served time on death row but who had been wrongly accused. These were just the "lucky ones" who escaped death yet had their lives devastated because of it.
This is enough for me. People can be wrongly accused. There's no second chance with the death penalty. One error is too many.

The death penalty is better for the criminals to stop doing crimes, but I do hate those who are persecuted without any strong evidence to them. As also for those who are mistakenly accused. 
The death penalty never stopped people from killing. Every criminal hopes that he will not find. The death penalty is the only mechanism just punishment for the offense. But I still support this punishment. My opinion is fair.The death penalty should be intended only for the most dangerous criminals.
But if the death penalty is resolved, then it is necessary to tighten control over the judicial system. I feel sorry for those judges who will prescribe the death penalty. They will feel very bad

i feel sorry for them of course. doing bad thing and earn a death punish. some might be deserve it. but in law not all will be deserve death punish. the system made by our government not always rite. the law made to be break afterall.
Those who really did heavy crimes should really be punished with death penalty deserved it because they did something wrong that will never be forgotten. But, if death penalty will be implemented, we all have to make sure that our justice system is very intact and firm and really does not favor the rich people. The justice system should be fair to all despite of their race, skin color, gender preference, and wealth.

Death penalty define as sentencing death to the person who committed heinous crimes. How do I feel about it? I affirm having death penalty as part of our penal system because crime rate in the Philippines , in the world rather is rapidly increasing. Also, God is the proponent of death penalty, kindly search some verses in the Old Testament if you want to validate it. Though I agree with it, I still have my reservations. First, the judicial should be fair and equal to everybody whether rich or poor. Next, innocent lives were at stake. And lastly, clear evidences should be presented and only applicable to the heinous crimes. In addition, death penalty has a deterent effect.

Executions can not be published, the death penalty must be hidden. Same here. I don't want the executions to be made public. There is no point in beheading someone in front of the public (just like what they do in certain Islamic nations), no matter how brutal his crimes are. It will only help to make the people more violent.

I think some people are evil and really deserves death penalty. There are some criminals who committed inhumane crime before. This kind of people don't don't deserve to be kept in jail. Their crime is too serious and I think they deserve death.
I am positive about the death penalty. For a cruel crime there must be a really worthy punishment, and not just a restriction of freedom. This will avoid many murders.
Death penalty in a way is a double edged sword. It can be very effective in solving crime as it serves as a warning for wrong doers but it can also be dangerous because implemented on an innocent person, it cannot be undone. Whether or not death penalty is good or bad is really a minor discussion. I think the better thing to really look into is the justice system. The only crime that can be punished with death penalty is terrorism. All other types of crimes including murder should be punished with imprisonment or life sentence.
I support this, in my country the perpetrators of corruption can still laugh freely, because they have a term of punishment, I want them sentenced to fire, but the government has not taken that policy.

I am pro death penalty, just want to raise a question, if all the criminals are put to jail and no one is to kill, then probably all the jails will be full. Also, why are we to keep criminals, we are feeding them and trying to change them even though they cannot change at all. It is like taking care of snakes, snakes that once freed, can poison again the society.
