I would've probably withdrawn in a big win instance, sadly I've yet to experience one so it's just one big money sink, which I'm aware of ofc and I accept it. It's the expense for having fun imo.
I'll do the same too.

Just secure those big wins that you make and runaway for a bit of time then go back when you're bored again. I've seen a lot of stories that have been missing their profits.

We're different gamblers and sometimes we tend to feel what's right and we do that. But in the end, that decision seems to be the wrong one and we're losing with these long shot bets.

I have this kind of problem ever since I started online gambling. I’m always bored playing same bet amount while my bankroll just keep coming back and fort to my initial bank roll.

The real problem starts when I’m on a long losing streak with same bet amount let's say 5 win streak. My mind set change from relax gambling to chasing loss. Even after I recover my loss, I bet already in abnormal pattern so that I can earn profit in a fast way. I always conclude my mistake after gambling. I keep repeating this cycle. My gambling time only ended up if I’m on profit big time or 100% loss my bankroll. I don’t know but it’s very hard for to quit gambling when my bankroll is at loss or on a little bit profit.

Anyone here is successful doing a long shot bet? A point were you can be satisfied without considering your bankroll status and just pure fun on gambling experience?

Normal to get bored on that situation since you will just think about that it just a waste of time at firs especially when you only look for profit generated on the bets you made. Placing huge bets is kinda risky but exciting since you will end up being more focus on the game plays you made, but it will end up stressful once you lose especially if all of your money gone because of the risky condition of bets you made.

For sure you can get over with it and go back with same bet amount of betting since you might realize that you want to enjoy without getting any huge damage in return.

There's no how you can be satisfied in gambling and still continue for the day, for me as long as you have some sats on your casino wallet you will ever remain unsatisfied until you are done exhausting the bankroll, gambling addiction is part of what constitute to this kind of experience even though it may not have worsen as others have been found with gambling addiction, it also depends atimes on the particular game or sport you're betting on, some can always take much of your time because of the fun while other may be a kind of boring type.

Make your gambling more volatility.
- Double the amount bet everytime you are win.
- Maximum double 3 time.

By making your gambling volatility, once you are on the streak win you will win a lot. Meanwhile while losing, you are just losing like usual. The purpose of these are, we are chasing one time good section and win a lot.

Rather than, get one good section but not win a lot and a chance get streak lose 10x.

This is an indication that you are already losing control of your gambling habits and if you're not careful it can put you to ruin as you will be unable to control the amount you gamble with and at the same time make the mistakes of chasing your losses.

In my opinion I think the best thing for you to do right now is to take a break from gambling. Taking a break from gambling will help you to gain some control of yourself. It can be difficult for you to do but it is something that you should do now before it will require more help to assist you from stopping. This is of course after gambling has done some damages.

See that's the thing, you're supposed to stop thinking about your bankroll altogether when you deposit money. Whatever money I deposit in casinos, I consider spent/lost already. I don't actively try to make it bigger or even withdraw it really, it just stays there. If leftovers were left due to being lucky and winning, then I subtract that amount to my usual deposit amount instead.

I would've probably withdrawn in a big win instance, sadly I've yet to experience one so it's just one big money sink, which I'm aware of ofc and I accept it. It's the expense for having fun imo.

It's important to approach gambling with a realistic mindset.

While it's possible to win big, the odds are typically against you, so instead of focusing on trying to win big, consider gambling as a form of entertainment, and set a budget for yourself that you can afford to lose.

Long shots don’t guarantee winning, the games could be going all fine only to cut on the last day.

I think the first thing you have to understand is this, gambling is not something that are profitable. Well, that is true for the largest part of all gamblers... but some extremely lucky few ...will win something good and walk away with a profit.

The whole gambling scene are developed to "keep" you gambling and to get you not to withdraw. Take slots as an example... you will lose most of the time, but in between your play, you get small wins ..that give you hope and gets you to play longer. Eventually you will lose everything, the longer you play. (The graph will go down gradually, with some small spikes as you go down to zero)  Tongue

I myself have never done this because it has a bigger risk and can easily reverse the opportunities that exist.
It all depends on what we are betting on, if we feel that betting is not possible to get a big win, then being able to have the same bankroll status as at the beginning is already a satisfaction because we didn't lose any money.
But when there is a bet that provides a big chance to win, I will forget about the bankroll so I prefer to get the win, I don't know what the final result will be, but at least I can take advantage of the opportunity that may not come twice.

This is about regular known gambler illness. When someone is gambling and losing in like 5 times or even 10 times in a row, situation should rather be treated as "I am unlucky today" and gambling should be stopped. Honestly you are gambling for having fun and winning. Worrying about recovering your losses is disruptive and unfun. Rather leave table and move out. This is my personal suggestion here. What I believe its dangerous to not change that loser mindset.

This seems to be a mind game mate , and of course attitude ..

- We must learn to be contented and ready to what will come.

- We should Understand that gambling is more on losing (unless you knew that enjoying is the main objective here/Happiness )

- People need to  be aware on what to come and consider the essence of gambling.

If we will have those qualities then there is no way that we will have to feel what you have now.

I prefer to avoid long-shot bets because they encourage me to chase my losses, but i've done them before because I got interested in settings that involve higher multipliers. I did have fun placing those bets because there was a promo, and the competitive part made it more entertaining, beating others in the ranks while trying my best to hit these long shot bets. My suggestion for stopping these long-shot bets is to adjust your gambling budget and play with a smaller amount so you wouldn't have that urgency to win them back.

for now I don't do this but in the past I have experienced the same problem with you that chasing losses is like you are angry or don't accept it if you lose after that you do something reckless chasing your defeat and after that you will feel satisfied when you get a 100% win from the bankroll at that time and after that you will feel disappointed regret when you lose in a row with the feeling why don't you stop when you lose. and after that your mind quickly changes again that you get angry when you are beaten by the casino and come back to chase defeat.
even though you don't realize it, when you catch losses and win 100% of your bankroll, the amount will not be the same as your previous losses.

just a little advice, it would be better for you to control yourself not to chase losses too much and try to make your mindset more positive, such as better use your money to buy something that is useful for you so that your money is not spent on gambling.

If you have responsibilities and have a family to manage, then definitely you will automatically feel the pressure to stop gambling. There are basically two types of people who gambles. One who gambles for entertainment or recreational purpose and another who gambles to earn some extra income for their family. If you have a bad streak going on and you are doing it to earn extra income, then yes automatically you will realise and you will stop losing more. I basically don’t bet frequently when I have a losing streak, I take a break and try betting on other games.

Yes, that is my case. From the stories I see here, I must be one of the few who have no false hopes in gambling, because I don't expect from it what I can't get.

The main mistake is gambling to get money. I know it's nice to win and earn from gambling but don't ever think of winning money as a goal that you have to achieve.

This is the point, if we are not clear that gambling is an activity in which we are going to lose money in the long term, and that only occasionally we will have sessions in which we will come out with more money, we are in trouble. The OP would do well to understand the concept of Expected Value in depth, so that he sees that every time he bets, the expected value of return is always less than his bet. In that way he would surely stop strategising by changing the size of the bet in relation to his bankroll.

It's very challenging and we always have this challenge when we are in session there are many questions while we are playing even if we only want to play for fun.
Once the scenario is presented to us we have to think of the best course of action but unfortunately instead of quitting we chase our losses, because we're thinking not every day we have this opportunity to recover our losses, it's wishful thinking and quicksilver, we eventually lose everything.

That's possible, yesterday I just came from the entertainment place where it's like a game of gambling but in terms of tokens. You can sell the tokens back to the cashier or to other players.

I took a few of it and managed to gamble with it eventually. I've taken back my bankroll as the initial capital that I've made and despite winning a lot of my bets, I have this on my mind that it's okay to lose all of it. I think it sets our minds that it's okay to lose and get back at it again.

Like it's a normal human behavior and thinking that we can't beat. But in order for us to control it, we need to think of something different like it's no longer good for us or it is harming us and that's why we need to choose or we have to be satisfied whatever will the outcome be.

I feel you, bro.
Recently, I have been playing a lot of time in Stake's Original Crash and I find myself always coming back to the loss and profit that I made. I forgot to screenshot the graph as I didn't know this kind of thread will happen. But in words, it's just up and down. Little profit, a big amount of loss, and I won't stop at that kind of ending.
Luckily, I find myself controlling my greed by avoiding the higher multiplied profits and just taking the x3-x5 win and just sticking with the same amount. It kept on going until I made such a huge amount that satisfied me and I withdrew instantly. Never came back for 3 days yet, I feel exhausted from a long back-and-forth profit and loss, so I want to savor this rest before I come back again.

I just set a limited budget to gamble and I play it until making the profit I want, or until losing it all. If I lose I simply stop gambling until I can recover that sum of money through another methods somehow (which don't involve gambling). If I end the day on green, I come back on the next day or after few days to continue playing, but always cashing out the profit made after each gambling session, so the initial budget remains the same.

The important here is to set this budget. Everything else is very personal and you should look for your own strategy, which you think it's the most benefical and entertaining for you. What is enjoyable for me, might not be for you, so make your own method.

in my case, I only place one or two bets each day, sometimes I don't bet for months and at the time there are the main soccer leagues such as La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, Bundesliga, Portuguese League, Turkish league I usually place bets every weekend because they are the ones where there are games in these leagues, so my self control is very good, that means I can stop playing whenever I want, but looking at so much I could see in this time that I am in gambling, I could see that it is very difficult to stop playing when the person is in the gambling that depend on luck to win, I started to realize that the gambling that depend on luck to have profit is the games that make people addicted more easily

I say this because I watched some people, I went to try the plinko game so it became clear to me that the nature of these casino games makes people want to play until they lose everything, for example if a person has 100$ and is playing plinko and put 0.20$ in each section, that person will spend 6 hours or more playing, they will only leave when they lose everything or win a lot, that's because those games make people not accept defeats and losses, people tend to think that next time section will be lucky to win, always thinking about it while they are losing, and will only leave when the balance is at zero

so I began to avoid playing slot games any time making money is my reason for gambling, I do sports betting instead, but still go ahead to play wit a few dollars on  slot when ever I don't mind losing the money to having fun.

I only tried it one day playing plinko and I never wanted to play a gambling that depends on luck again because it easily makes you addicted and the person loses control easily, it is very difficult to manage the bank playing a gambling that depends on luck, That's why I prefer to stick with just sports betting, which are games that don't depend on luck and I have control
