Im recently storing my bitcoins to online wallets as they are not that much to be stored in hdd wallets like bitcoin core or electrum, but if i have enough  bitcoins for storing then i will store them in my pc in electrum and bitcoin core wallets, i hope they will be safe there.

Desktop wallets would be preferable for many people around the forum. I could say electrum would best desktop wallet which can be help you have the multiple wallet addresses and transaction so faster like other wallets.

there are may bitcoin wallet to store all our bitcoin but i choose to put my bitcoin is multiple wallet to minimize the risk of my money.
actually risk to your bitcoin stolen is very low if you want to add some extra security as 2FA mate. but to avoid that small risk.
it might be better if you use multiple wallet. it will reduce the risk

at the moment just a small amount online, but thinking about getting a hardware wallet soon. it seems like the safest and most convenient way of storing larger amounts

you need an online bitcoin wallet to store your bitcoins. you can store it there and wait for it to increase more its value before you sell it. But I highly suggest that it is much better if you will invest it to some trusted bitcoin related sites.
You can use an online wallet if you want but you do not need it, if you really need to use one then just keep a small amount there and use a desktop wallet to store most of your coins, that way you get the best of both worlds, the safety of having your coins under your full control, and the chance to access your coins from anywhere and from any device.

Yes thats a good move on you. I do it too. I have many bitcoin wallets and I store my bitcoins on different wallets to have less risk on storing it.
I have the list of the username and password of all of my wallet, All of it is paper written and I am only the one who know the place that I store my paper that have my list.

I store my bitcoin at coins.ph and blockchain. Here I can rest assure that my bitcoin is safe and growing. In my coins.ph I store my bitcoin for cash out purposes and in that app I can buy stuuf and game credits. In blockchain I store my bitcoin at that for gambling purposes because that is safe and fast when I deposit and withdraw in a certain gambling site.

Blockchain.info on my phone. Not enough to really give a shit so the app works nicely.
how security wallet when you use a wallet on your phone. is it quite risky. when someone borrow or steal a cell phone?
I think it would be more secure when you keep them in your online wallet or desktop

I use to store my bitcoins online because i didn't know how to store bitcoin in my own computer and how it works and im scared to be get hacked by other software like virus if i accidentally downloaded a file and i trusted in a online bitcoinwallet like coins.ph here in the philippines because it is secured.
Never experience any issue on coins.ph wallet and i think they are not doing any frauds because they are legal here in philippines..
for me i am using electrum and coins.ph i just use it for depositing and withdrawing my bitcoin..
If you are afraid in virus just always use anti virus like kaspersky.. the performance of kaspersky is great never had any virus..

You can store them offline too and actually finding those trusted bitcoin sites for investment is like finding a gold mine because those who pay high are usually scams and those who pay low after a long time surly scam too Sad

Keep them online and offline. I my self do not put my trust in being online all the time

Yes, don't trust any online wallet at all. It's good to store some of your bitcoins with them but making it as your cold storage is not going to be the best thing. I myself do store some of it will online wallet but I am aware that anytime worst can happen. Just have yourself a desktop wallet and you will be safe after all whatever happens.
i also use online wallet to store bitcoin, because i do not have such a big amount, but i can suggest to my friends to use different wallet and distribute your bitcoin in these wallet so that to reduce the risk of losing all the money that is in our online wallet.

I guess keep it in the wallet reliable security system that has 2FA is the best way to save bitcoin. I only keep BTC I have in one wallet available on the internet. blockchain, Coinbase, and much more. The sites provide a service that can save bitcoin we have well. in fact, they have a great security system. I keep bitcoin I get on blockchain, by enabling all system security owned.
All the security that you enable at the personal level does not matter if the hacker can get inside the site itself, that is why is is always considered to be safer to store your own coins because it gives less surface for a hacker to attack you.

Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?

So far the things that I do when storing my bitcoin is I put it in my Bitcoin core and also I used multibit these two are proven and tested to me. Though  you need to download it first in you desktop or laptop computer, then install it before storing it to your wallet.
Bitcoin core is the safest wallet for me since you do own/keep the private keys but its really pain in the ass to download all blockchain data if you have fast internet might be a convenient one but if not then you will definitely not choose to download it for sure.Hardware wallets would be safe too.

I started with online wallet with no transaction fees, it was good for me in beginning where all my earning was from faucet. Now I have better wallet, and I keep all my money there. I chose wallet after a lot of researching about how to keep my bitcoins safe.
From faucets I withdraw when I make minimal withdraw amount, I plan to start to trade, but I plan to send money trade couple hours and withdraw bitcoins from there. I think its not wise to keep money out of wallet, judging by the experience from members of this forum.
