Is there any other option through which I can upload the image on my ANN thread?

Read carefully the previous post of Joel_Jantsen, he stated the alternative option...

If I read above I have to wait at least for 30 days to post image?  Huh
No, you don't have to. You can buy a copper membership as described in this post : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.24371150

Additonal I need to do some post. I am just wondering why such restrictions exists.
If we allow all the newbie accounts to post images, it wouldn't be hard to create bots which overload the servers by uploading a number of images at the same time. No bot developer would pay per account to buy copper membership.

Actually newbie can't post images on bitcointalk forum but when you post a photo instead of an image it will only post the link of the photo. This will happen when you post with a newbie rank. I am using imgur.com to post an image on bitcointalk.

You can post an image if you are a COPPER MEMBER. How to become a copper member? You have to pay for it.

Only Jr. Member and higher ranks can post images on bitcointalk.

I think this should be changed. Some new accounts may be for active blockchain members who are just new to this forum—and they have to reach 30 posts very much for no reason.

Did it work after reaching 30 posts?

To view your uploaded images you need to have to be a junior member = 30 ACTIVITY (more info about ranks and activity : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/faq-everything-you-need-to-know-about-forum-activity-account-ranks-and-merit-2766177) or you can buy copper membership (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbies-can-now-pay-a-small-fee-to-enable-images-2385104)

Today, I found the topic by chance, so I would like to help someone interested in posting threads with images attached in well-designed formats.
This is link to my own topic on the same issue:
Guideline on posting images (with size adjustments), hyperlinks
Enjoy it and make your threads are better user-friendly.

Hope it helps, especially newbies!

Any advice? I've uploaded my jpg to imgur and I keep getting an error message "image proxy invalid image" when I try to post in my ANN thread. Appreciate any help!

Hello,

I am trying to insert image between [img] tag, but when I am previewing it, It shows only image url rather than image, kindly help/guide me.

Thank you in advance.

You need to be a junior member to be able to post images.

This is what I am facing now

Not trying to be a troll but doesn't all this uploader seem kind of archaic? If this is a HUGE site then why can't they just have an ordinary dime a dozen uploader? I think there are even free scripts available. I'm not even a techie and even I know that.

for others who were confused like me lol. this thread is about posting photo to forum, like in conversation. but if you are searching for photo for avatar then click here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbies-read-before-posting-1689727
Why can't I change my avatar?
Only Full Members and up are allowed to wear avatars. It must be no more than 120px wide, 80px tall, and 100 KiB in size. It must be a PNG, GIF, or JPEG image. It must be safe for work.

How do you upload a photo on bitcointalk.org?Huh

ok  in order to post an image  you can go to google image  and search for a photo  than when you find what you want  just right click on it and chose copy image adress

then come to your post and  in the style menu  ( the upper bare  ) you will see a little emoticon of an  image  ( insert image )  just click on it  and you will see something like

[img ][ /img]  and  just past your link  in between like that  [im.g]https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1qe.6dxSYBuNjSspjq6x73VXaR/Bitcoin-Pi-ce-D-or-Ruban-Plaqu-Collection-BTC-Pi-ces-Art-Collection-Cadeau-Nouveau-Drop.jpg_640x640.jpg[/i.mg]

I  was  also curious about not being able to post  images. Need to wait for the 'jr member' status.

Actually you can pay to be a copper member and if that will happen you don't need to wait to be a junior member.

OP thanks for the tutorial because honestly uploading photo here and it really frustrates me every time. This will be a big help for everyone.
