What other funny and real betting exist like this you know of?

I am aware that there is something called Sleeping Championship but not sure if there is any site actually lets people bet on that game.

Well, my point is you can bet any anything literally anything Some may be organized and others are just coincidences/fun bets between friends so speaking of food competitions I am not a big fan of such games because it doesn't involve any skills they need unique ability like super fast digestion and organs prepared to take all in, etc. so it may be a fun experience, not a sport as far as I am concerned.

Nah, not sure about Food betting though, doesn't sounds right. But the world is moving very fast right now that we have weird competitions and sports already.
And for me I don't consider it a sports though, I mean how can someone categorically call it a sports?
Just like the majority, I'm not a fan of it and so I wouldn't bet if ever there will be one offered by crypto sports bookies.
I'm old school so for me sports like tennis, boxing, UFC/MMA and football.

I don't support food competitions since they often lead to serious health problems that the contestants ignore just to have some fun and show off. Our bodies are not made to ingest such ridiculous amounts of food and people who do it often get serious problems with stomach contractions, since it's a muscle that can stretch, but stretching it too much damages it, just like any other muscle can be overworked and damaged, it's just that you can't fix this without a surgery and you can easily die from it.

IMO eating competitions are much more dangerous than MMA and people often come unprepared. They don't know what can happen to them.

Also, there's not much professional supervision, no real federation that cares about people playing by the rules. It's not a sport as far as I know.

We have so many types of bet that can not be included in a casino and these local games are found in different geographical locations that differs in setting and kind from place to place,  I have taken part in food betting before way back as an undergraduate student,  and even water battle seating betting also.

We have so many of such locally played games that are not possibly listed on casinos and that can be because casinos already have their hand full with so many other games that take their attention away from developing such games and implementing them in their casinos.

Any kind of personal challenge can be embodied to gambling practice.

Would you try it out if you had the chance and resources to?
Yes, I like food competitions and enjoy watching challenges on Youtube. I think it would be an interesting activity to bet on, but usually it's really easy to pick the winner, so I don't know how worthful the odds would be. To place a bet to make 10% profit or less over it doesn't look an interesting alternative.

What are your thoughts on the concept and initiative behind this idea.? Is it worth investing time and resources in?
Just like I've said above.

Can we classify this betting on food eaters on who eats more or less within a time frame, as a sport?
I think so. It's a competition and common sense have competitions as sports.

I think that this is one of the utterly dismal and creepy "sport" or "show" where to bet or to see.
I find also useless any kind of bet since the risk of a "rigged" match is practically behind any corner Roll Eyes
I know that there are also some channel dedicated to "mukbang" but come on ... I would never place any serious bet on that but more over I don't want stimulate anyone to eat tons of trash food Sad

Customers joining the site to bet on their favorite foodie are expected to register as a member, just as is required in a normal bet site. They would place their bets on contestants who are expected to eat more or eat less quantity of various prepared food within a timed period/duration.
This is such a ridiculous idea. Health wise it is not even advisable to start with. What happens if the contestants chokes on their food. I wouldn't bet on it and I definitely won't encourage any person to bet on it too.

Definitely not. It is a waste of resources and puts people's lives on the line for how much?

Not worth investing. It is like watching the gladiators fight to death.

It is not sports. Though I won't be surprised if some bodies come up to start a "Food Olympics".

I know creativity has led to many breakthrough innovations we see today. Within the gambling world, we have seen many types; From bizarre kind of bet, to outrageous and well- horseracing bet, football/soccer bet, boxingbout/tournament bet, tennis match/tournament bet, basketball betting. Has anyone given a thought to foodbetting?

Trust me when I say I found this idea quite amusing at first, but I don't know of any initiative that has come up with a food betting website yet, except for this guy I found on Instagram who has made it NigeriaVsFood challenge.

Here's the link to the Instagram page.
