I think currently it is still a bit overbought on the recent news and should see a fall back to $10-12, of course a lot of it depends on what happens with Bitcoin as alts do not live in isolation. So depending on the ETF outcome and what happens with BTC will play a lot into ETH's price in the short term. I think as announcements and more importantly actual implementations of tech around ETH are released the price will shoot past the current valuations and perhaps see $50 by year end.

Not very far.

I think in a few months Bitcoin is gonna go way up after block size issues are resolved and once that happens some of these altcoins will be in trouble, especially the major ones that people are hyping up like Dash and Ether.

I put in about $100 into ETH yesterday and plan on putting another $100 in today. Last I checked, it was around $3 per ETH and now it's at $19 which is absolutely great.

How many of you have invested in ETH and how far do you think it will go in the next couple of years?
What do you mean when you say that it was around $3 per ETH last time you checked and that was yesterday, I suppose.. ETH costed $17 at that time...
Anyway, about a week ago when eth was $16 I bought 1ETH just in case it grows in the future after watching a video on youtube explaining how good ethereum is. I am not a big investor as you see and I just hope eth will cost $1k in 5 years and thus I'll have $1k out of nowhere.

The real question is : How many capitalization will ETC drain from ETH ?

it could drain from other coin too, this can be explained by seeing how eth is increasing why the other is stabilizing, it mean that money for ethereum classic are coming from something else and not exaclty from original fork

I mean that's a really good question for now i think eth is the only currency which i haven't been able to analyze no matter how much research i did and noticed the price. I think the currency has a good potential but i never really understood what causes it's price to grow. For now i think the price will go to another 30-40$ by end of this year.

ETH still in the second positions on coinmarketcap which mean volume support for ETH still high on the exchanges and many people still trade this coin and i think ETH still survive at least for next one year but regarding the price movement i don't know for sure because very difficult to predict altcoin price

Ethereum is backed by a lot of big pockets in the game including microsoft and IBM, as long as those keep pumping money into the project I can see the marketcap going up, but marketcap going up is a different story from the price going up.
I think ETH is not a good long term investment. Another DAO event will for sure make it crash.

If you look at coinmarketcap eth is in the 2nd so I think for me ETH will increase it's price few months from now actually I'm planning to buy some ETH while the price is affordable for now.

Can you kindly explained what is the connection of being in second at coinmarketcap to the price increase that will happen in ETH in few months to come that you have been mentioned?

Being there at top doesn't mean they will established a great price in the future. Volumes in ETH are active but that is not the basis that the price of it will increase. Active volume of ETH is because of the buy low sell high scenarios or you can called it as a roller coaster price meaning buy and sell are done to not on considered as high or low price but on a reasonable price to execute their trades.

For the last some ICO most of them project are based on Ethereum platform which is good for Ethereum so if some of the projects get success which will be success for Ethereum. So investing in ETH is not bad but their is always so much of trading and fluctuation in market price but in long time we can expect three digit price of ETH

I believe that there's a great future ahead on Eth. I think its price will go higher as this is also popular and for sure many invested on Eth. I do also encourage others to invest in Eth. Hoping that this will be really increase its price so others can benefit of it.

Not really, eth increased in price signifiantly after the announcement of ethereum enterprise alliance with the purpose of development and standardization of ethereum blockchain. A partnership between ethereum foundation and some of the biggest corporations of this planet.  Basically this confirmed currently ethereum is the biggest player in blockchain space in terms of development and technological adoption ( bitcoin has a different type of adoption focused on speculation ). ATM ethereum sits close to 0.015 btc per ether. Few months ago it was 0.011. Yes, bitcoin pump usually helps ether's price, but this time around it wasn't that.

ETH price is quite dependent on bitcoin price, it is not like complete indirectly proportional movement.
https://poloniex.com/exchange#usdt_eth
Price of ETH in USD have dropped by around 2% for 0.4% dump in bitcoin price. If bitcoin price will go up than ETH will also have some pump in terms of USD but in terms of bitcoin price of ETH have remained almost same in last few months.

In reality we can't make any predictions about any altcoins or coin whether it is Bitcoin of eth or edr .
Because any instant of time fluctuation with big pump and dump  may arise in any altcoins so here it is totally waste to make predictions for such a long times of year .
Since it is clear that the future of ETH more better than any other altcoins because per month users of ETH are increasing reapidly like the users in the Bitcoin , So here more and more chance for the ETH to grow like Bitcoin .

you just bought into the bubble, you should have bought before it meaning buying at 0.011BTC ($10.9) and now with this investment at this point your possibility of losing money is very high.

so far you have lost 9.1% of your investment in one day meaning you lost $9.1 out of $100

there may be some rises in the short term, specially because of bitcoin price and how it is these days but in the longer term this price will go back down to $10-$11 again very soon.

I can't predict that but I'm waiting for RSK launch if they deliver on the hype than that may be the end of the beginning for Ethereum, also is the SegWit activation, if SewWit got activated I can see developers jumping on the hype and porting their platform to Bitcoin. Ethereum is a well conceived idea but it is not safe so many things was compromised
