i totally agree with you mate, do not trust anyone with your accounts especially with your wallet. also try to do safe browsing thats for your own security, there are lot of phishing site's right now that want to hack your holdings. keep your private key and store it safe. always be vigilant especially when you filled up on airdrops.

I have lost Hugh amount of bitcoin, and I believe some person's here too have gone through same. Can we please share our experience and lessons.

My story :My wallet was hacked, by God knows who. That was 2017 may. I logged in to my blockchain wallet to notice that 0.9  btc I have been accumulating Since 2016 has been taken. Leaving less than $5 worth of bitcoin for me.

My lesson :  don't trust anyone with your crypto, laptop or password. Because I believe someone close to me did that.
I think they are 2 scenario, as you said maybe someone close to you got access to your laptop or password and second your a victim of phishing.
Phishing is common on emails pretending to be your wallet but it comes from different email deceiving you, to avoid this install some phishing protection and always check the url of the site before entering important details.

As for me, I lost my tokens on exchange. All my tokens were on it and soon It was scam. So put your money only in the wallets with private keys. It is much safer.

There are several ways to lose your crypto: to forget the password, hackers attack, HDD crash (with no wallet backups), exchange collapse, and not good trade... And I'm curious how topic starter has lost his coins...
Well indeed, but there are other reasons for losing coins is because of a forgotten private key. I have never lost cryptocurrency so I can not share my story about it. But for most people losing their cryptocurrency is due to fraud or hack and the people who mostly experience this are those who do not know how to secure their own coins and are also unaware of this scam.

of course that's sure to happen for everyone, but more speci fi cally at the loss of the impact of the downturn.
As for other bad experiences in this industry, you should be able to make the experience so as not to happen again. at least it can prevent for losses

You lose your coin. That still happens to many people. Me too! Since they have no experience, they have lost a fair amount of money when investing in lost money. But then I learned lessons should not be long-term investment for currency is always fluctuating in price.

You need to explain also here the loss of Bitcoin that you experience it why? What caused it? So that the experience you want to know from us can be explained and become a new science for all of us who move on crypto.
So far I have not experienced the loss of Bitcoin. But I can mention that such incidents seem to be done deliberately, given the activity of crypto directly related to the internet.

I never lost any amount of my ether or nor bitcoin because I have used the hardware wallet to store them all. It gives me possibility to put more security to my amount. If you are using trezor and there will be a lot of verification before you can access your amount. Try to use the safest way to store your amount.

if you do not have the knowledge to trade, you will lose, I suggest from now you do not have to trade, keep your coins in a long time, it is a good decision
Yes, more knowledge is needed to trade. The ability to analyze market conditions must be owned, otherwise you should be prepared to lose. Long-term investment is very good, just need patience to make a profit.

I was scammed before on telegram during an ICO- gotta learn to lose and learn from mistakes

Me too - just a few days ago.  I lost 5 ETH to scammers, thinking I was investing in the Iagon ICO.  Scammers impersonated the Iagon CEO on telegram and created a fake Iagon telegram group that looked official.  It was my fault for not being more vigilant.

How exactly did you lost your bitcoin. If you want to share it with the forum then the forum can find what causes the loss of yours. I think if your private keys do not get leaked then there is no way your wallet can be accessible to others. May be somehow your keys got leaked.
