I lost a lot of my coins, it's 70%, because I played in margin trading. This type of trade is very dangerous and I do not advise it to anyone.
And if you knew it was so dangerous why did you engaged in it? This is my big problem with some people here in the forum, the market is already very risky without the need to add even more risk and yet people choose all kind of risky strategies, like day trading or shorting bitcoin, and while the profits can be impressive if everything goes right when it does not you will lose most of your capital.

I have lost Hugh amount of bitcoin, and I believe some person's here too have gone through same. Can we please share our experience and lessons.

My story :My wallet was hacked, by God knows who. That was 2017 may. I logged in to my blockchain wallet to notice that 0.9  btc I have been accumulating Since 2016 has been taken. Leaving less than $5 worth of bitcoin for me.

My lesson :  don't trust anyone with your crypto, laptop or password. Because I believe someone close to me did that.
Out of curiosity, how that happened?

Did someone hacked you, you enter to phishing site or you simple had keylogger and didn't run antivirus?

Blockchain isn't really easy to hack, if you turn on security(2fa and everything) i don't think anyone can bypass that.
That's a big question to me also, what the hell happened to that thing? how did you lost all of your funds?
I guarantee you need a back up private key or use hardware wallet. I think you should download Ghost VPn so hackers
will not compromise your computer.

I almost lost 5 ETH about 1,5 years ago. I sent to exchange 5 Eth from local wallet and did not see any changes so I repeated again until transaction passed. In few days I mined 5 Eth and suddenly they disappeared. It was bug in Eth wallet related to my 2-nd transaction. I was lucky to reveal it in time. I created another order on crypto exchange and took money back.

Don't trust anyone. This is the drawback of crypto that there is no trace left. If anyone can get your credentials then he/she can bankrupt you without you having any kind of proof. Stay safe, trust no one.

That was unfortunate and this would really be always a lesson learn for anyone where we do experience such loss before we do already aware on such thing. We can eventually avoid the possible risk and don't let that thing happen to us if we are just sensible and responsible to possible actions specially on keeping out safe our wallet into other people and besides blockchchain wallet or any other web-wallets in the net isn't really ideal to store up coins for long term.

My wallets were hacked too but it's all my fault. I kept all information on google drive and someone has stolen it. So don't use this method of backup.

Got stolen by someone near to you can be so depressing
Back to the theme, there was a period for me in crypto when I took part in all airdrops and bounties I met. Remembering all the different passwords would cause a headache for me. Writing them down is also a bad idea. So I was using the same login-password for many sites and it looks like that one of them was a bad guy and they used this to get access to many other accounts. It was not that much in a result, but when you're in the beginning, it may hurt you

Do not trust anyone with your passwords, moreover, even in a purse you can enter better only when you need to make a transaction. The main thing is to make a bookmark of the purse, otherwise you can not see the substitution of the site name and give your password to scammers. Be careful, I'm sorry for you.  Embarrassed

I see many people loosing their coins just because they were not that much concerned about privacy. They shared their account information with others. So, it is very important not to share account passwords and other information to anyone. Moreover, it is necessary to have proper knowledge of doing transactions.
Privacy has really been a huge challenge for a very lot of newbies in this space and I wonder why some people do not equip themselves with enough knowledge to be able to know how to do better when it comes to security of their funds or their wallets.

In fact, his last statement of not trusting anyone with their crypto, laptop or password shows that he must have by himself ended up screwing things up by not paying so much attention to security and that is one bad move to make in this space.

I've experienced similar things, but most of the cases that happen to hacker losses are mostly caused by negligent and negligent acts, yes. I think you should re-evaluate and prioritize your laptop or laptop's pc. install antivirus and internet security in order to avoid from virus attack.

in crypto don't trust anyone is good to do and always back up your file safety, no cloud services and don't ever do anything with your laptop that contains wallet. it is like better you have 2 laptops and 1 for wallet, 1 for activity

That's why internet far more risky if you do not extra carefull !
This incident can be prevent if you are aware for yourself and around you because when money is talking, their mind & soul will got manipulate.

I think that this will serve as a lesson for you and from now on you will be more careful, but the price of the lesson is quite high. Keep your keys and passwords out of reach.

Actually never let them use your personal PC or smartphone even if they are your best friend !

You can only trust yourself, you never know where the attacker is hiding. Be very careful and safe not to tell anyone about your means, many people change very much when they can get a profit.

your experience may also have been experienced by many people here, so maybe this will make the lesson for everything here to really save the bitcoin we have as good as possible, many friends or people around us will do something to us that will never we know, so we should not be too easy to trust everyone, and do not let you give your key or password to anyone you do not really trust.

margin trading is not easy, but the profits that can you get from margin trading are also great. I advise you to do artbitraging rather than margin trading if you have not experience in margin trading. artibitraging I think is easier if the moment is good
