Things are really not funny recently in all parts of the world, I dunno if this is another revolution coming to the economies of the different nations. Prices are escalating and taxes to be paid as well are increasing. In my country recently, doing business successfully needs more than ordinary tactics, lest you tend to fold up almost immediately you started, reason being that there is no much financial flow to accommodate your goods or services, unless your product niche is a need and not a want. The price of things surged by almost 300% from last year alone.

People all over the world are just striving to survive well in the defeated economies they find themselves in. The saviour of the moment is crypto involvements which have proven to be the only remedy to the recent mess the governments have put the countries into. Crypto involvement rates have really increased among people of various age brackets and disciplines. Trading is no longer an option, but a priority to survive and Most people's major prayer points now is for the crypto mining project of their involvement be really profitable.

People are recently looking up to crypto to reshape the world, the strong belief they have in it now has never been seen before.

Inflation is general. It’s in every country on earth. Unless the country doesn’t use fiat (which isn’t possible because what then are you using as legal tender).
That's true that it's in general there but it differs per country based on the economic status of their state.

In the next couple of years, the cost of petrol would likely be more than that. And even if it isn’t, other items like food items, or clothes would cost more. How you’d know this is when you look back to how it used to be, you can see the trend of inflation.
While there were even talks about electric cars(EV) and the reduction of the use of petrol will be there. I don't think that's gonna happen 100%.
There are still a lot of people that just want to stick to what we used to have and that will still make petrol's cost that high. And when petrol's cost is too high, everything will continue to rise in prices.

4,62% inflation in 2023. Right now, bureaucrats have as goal the decreasement of that yearly inflation to 3%, although the scenario doesn't look good in anyways, as prices skyrocket each new week you go to the supermarket. Citizens aren't concerned, though, because their priority is to lick politicians' asses and fight each other, based on who they support and who they hate. Personally, I have never seen so dumb and idiotized citizens like we have today.

Is it result of wide internet accessibility without educational and moral backgrounds to ensure the benefits of having access to such technologies in large scale by the masses? Is it just a consequence of modern society's decay? Is it what happens when a considerable portion of the population uses and abuses drugs (including medicines), becoming totally alienated from reality and unable to display genuine and congruent reactions towards its absurds?

Well, modern economies are a real freak show at its worst concept! Even first world countries can't escape this reality anymore...

I live in a third world country and the price of petrol products and other commodities are 3x that of last year, and I don't think that price will come down anytime soon. Cost of living is fucking expensive now.

Inflation is very high down here which has affected every sector of the market. Getting the money is also another problem because minimum wage has not being increased and people who are earning salaries are really suffering because their monthly salary can no longer take care of their needs. I have a neighbor that quit is job, because of high transportation fee. After he did his calculations and saw that transportation will consume 90% of his salary.
This is so terrifying mate, in the country I live in, anything that goes up doesn't come down again no matter the effort to make the price reduce and it's bad because there are people who can't afford their needs anymore. These days a lot of jobs/companies have closed because this are so cost compared to years back. They government behind economy should make sure to put things in order. Recently labour went on strike because they want the salaries of every workers to increase but funny enough that it didn't worked well for them. But I pray that government should look into their matters to do what the labour requested.

In my country, the economic situation is much worse, as the inflation rate may exceed 100% due to strikes, successive internal and economic problems, high fuel prices, and government corruption. The government has failed to find solutions. On the contrary, it plays a major role in making the situation worse and worse.

The main problem is the high prices of the basic fuels of the economy, such as gasoline, diesel and gas. The high prices of petroleum derivatives naturally lead to the high cost of all goods and production materials that need petroleum derivatives, whether in production or transportation.
it is very annoying when you hear corruption, it is the same in my country as it has become a culture and it really affects the economy for the worse because the funds that are used to improve the development of society in order to have good economic growth with very good absorption are instead corrupted by irresponsible people, it really pisses me off, and this has an impact on inflation and the response of people with their jobs, wrong policies will result in a worse economy.

I don't know that the inflation in the country is very high and it will suppress more people's business especially about the price of petroleum derivatives which will affect businessmen in running their business, and of course this has an impact on increasing the price of goods in your country significantly, the government in office in your country failed to take care of this, people must be suffering a lot, soon I think chaos will occur in your neighborhood.

In my country even though it is not like that the cost of living is still difficult as the inflation in my country is quite high while the salary we receive has no increase leading to the possibility of poverty slowly.

Corruption is something that we cant really be able to avoid and turns out to be that a casual thing in todays living and there would really be no exemption. Although there would really be places or countries on which arent that corrupted but in speaking about inflation then its something that every country and corners of the world is affected.

Basing up on some search(2023)
https://www.statista.com/statistics/268190/countries-with-the-lowest-inflation-rate/
-1.74% is the lowest but majority is on positive but not really that much.

Cost living here in our country does increase year by year and if you are someone who wont really be finding up ways or methods on making your living way more
better in terms of income source or stream, then you would really be struggling yourself on surviving on day to day living. This is something that you should really be that
making yourself that prepared at least.

The cost of living in a country is getting higher, in fact the government is the one who is most responsible. Because they are the ones who have the power to make policies and they are also the ones who often corrupt state money and in the end it is the people who suffer. In my country, it is actually an agricultural country, but the prices of basic necessities remain high, even though if we think logically, in an agricultural country, the costs of basic necessities such as food should be cheaper.

Apart from that, it makes the cost of living more expensive due to inflation, with inflation the nominal value of the currency is not balanced by high salary standards, making necessities feel more expensive. Due to the impact of inflation, people's purchasing power is low and the circulation of paper money on the market is also small. The value of money continues to decline due to the lack of transactions using this currency. Yes, in the end people cannot stand conditions like this, so inevitably people carry out illegal activities and exploitation. It is no longer a public secret that perhaps in almost all countries, if there is an increase in prices or inflation, the rich will get richer and the poor will suffer more.
Every generation will definitely feel the impact of the bad economy. Not only in certain countries – almost all countries in the world are also experiencing the impact. Inflation is increasing from year to year making people's financial conditions difficult - but what is certain is, don't depend on what the government can do but help yourself with what you have.

I need at least $400 for living expenses and any bills every month. Sometimes it's lower or higher - but on average it's certainly over $300 each month. There are no luxuries - it's just that the value of every item has increased due to inflation. Corrupt governments only think about their pockets and their families – they will have difficulty prioritizing the interests of society above their own interests.

I'm Australian, and the inflation rate in 2023 was over 4%.

Oh the horror:

One billion people would be happy with 14 not 4% a year!

The cost of petrol is around $2.10AUD per litre, which is insane.

That's irrelevant unless we talk about how much you make a year:
https://www.globalpetrolprices.com/articles/85/
Because you can have the most expensive gas in the world like Norway and still spend only a fraction of your wage on it while people with cheaper gas can't afford  full tank with all their wage.

The minimum wage in Australia is around $23-$24 AUD which is very good but rent, groceries, travel expenses etc are ridiculously high and seem to be increasing all the time.

See, so you're able to buy 12 liters of gas with one hour of work, meanwhile, in a ton of country, you need a full day of work for that!

In my country it's same as globally wherein the price of all the basic stuffs like LPG, petrol, raw produce has increased and on top of that companies has started this new method of denying the employees their salary hike by saying they are not firing anyone rather they skip yearly salary hike and to squeeze it further the shitty government has introduced so many taxes which makes it really difficult for a common person to survive.

The way things are in my country has made most of our youths to start indulging themselves in some kind of illegal activities and our government is not actually doing anything which is why corruption is getting higher each day but we pray that God will always see us through and we will also try our best to survive even when it's not easy.
The reason why corruption is getting higher because those in position are also the ones involved in such crimes. They protect their fellow criminals for a sum of money. Sometimes they are even the ones directly who control such crimes. With how poor the living situation is, people have no choice but to resort to illegal activities and exploitations. Meanwhile The rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer.

Hi Guys,

I'm curious to know if there is a cost of living crisis in your country and if you are feeling the effects of rising goods and services.

I'm Australian, and the inflation rate in 2023 was over 4%.

I have noticed significant increases for everyday essentials like food, petrol and utilities.

The cost of petrol is around $2.10AUD per litre, which is insane.

Let's hope things improve in the near future because the current state of things is unsustainable.

This is June and I'm expecting to see the new the inflation rate of May, the available one is that of April and it is 33.20% and to be frank with you, life is so unbearable, life is hard and very difficult for everyone due to the economy reforms from the new government, you can't see anything in this country that is the same price as that of last year, the food inflation is so high that food has doubled in price and some necessities has even triple without alternative, you just have to buy them like that and use.

Another challenge my country is having is as a result of insecurities, there is high rate of kidnapping and banditary in areas where agriculture and farming are been practice this most and this has lead to a lot of low food supply with increase in the price because many farmers HD refuse to return to the farm. Currently, the price of tomato has triple that even some traders refuse to buy because there is no gain to make from selling it. Sometimes, I wish I can go back to early 2000s and start life afresh.

I'm in the United States and is pretty damn expensive living here.  I did just recently move out of Chicago, which was insanely expensive.  The other issue is if you rent, a lot of landlords tend to try and jack up the prices on you.  They give you a pretty decent price to start, but then try and jack up the prices each year.  They know that you just moved and likely don't want to keep moving, so they try and take advantage.

Inflation I believe is roughly about 4% here too.  I love better than it was 2-3 years ago.

Such discussion has happened before. The world is now facing many economic problems and high inflation is driving up the cost of living in every country. Especially in the countries of Asia and Africa, the situation is worse.

I am a Bangladeshi citizen. I used to be able to live here very cheaply. But now it has become very difficult to live here.  Food products, clothes, house scaffolding are very much on the other hand unemployment rate is also very high.  Therefore, the middle class and lower class people are spending their days in very dire conditions. Where a person is earning $80-$300 per month, a single person's monthly expenses are $150+ so how can a person support a family with his salary.  So you think how difficult it is for me to live here and how expensive it is

Inflation is much higher this year than last year in my country. Due to this, the price of dance essentials has increased, but the value of money in our country has dramatically decreased. According to the condition of our country, it has become challenging for lower middle-class people to move. Their life has become difficult. They live without eating a meal if they can eat twice daily. But the value of our country's memories and loved ones cannot be reduced in any way.

Each country does have that different % when it comes to inflation year by year but whatever percentage it would be, on which any positive increase does means that it would really be that a disaster
specially into those peopel who are really just that depending their living into the money that they are getting into their day jobs on which year by year it would really be that lessening its purchasing power
and that what makes it hard on surviving. It would really be that unfortunate if there would really be no having that kind of balancing in between increase of salary wages in together with that inflation because
if this one would really be that remain stagnant then you would definitely be having a hard time on coping it up. This is why it would really be wise that you should really be that trying out to look for another
source of income and not really just that focusing on one.

Yes, its not easy but doesnt mean that you would really be just that contented on what you are doing now because sooner or later at the moment that you would be just staying on where you are
the this inflation could really be giving out that kind of life condition on which you would be able to feel up the struggle.

I live in a South Asian country, in our country nowadays the prices of all the daily necessities are on the rise. Life has become difficult for common people living in this country including people of various professions especially those with low paying jobs.

As inflation is very high in our country, people are struggling to buy food with money. There is no shortage of food but lack of money is piling up on the shoulders of common people. Businessmen of this country syndicate various products and then when they see that they are in short supply in the market, they sell the stocked products at high prices and earn double profit. And ordinary people have to suffer.

Also, not only petrol, our country has various oils like diesel, kerosene, octane and edible oil, their prices have almost doubled compared to the previous prices. But now for some time their prices have decreased again but still the suffering of people has not reduced. Currently in our country the price of petrol, diesel and octane is around 1.10$.

Aussie here too.

Australia is no longer considered the "lucky country".

A few years ago $50 on my opal card would last me a week and a half. It now lasts me 3 days.

COVID + inflation + increased immigration has been a recipe for disaster.

Here in my country we have a slight increase of 1% this month which results in overall inflation of 3.9% but it is still ideal destination for retired foreigners who wants to settle down because conversion rate of dollar in here is quite high. But if we are talking about prices and wages as a local it's quite lower for me compared to other countries and the purchasing power is not that good since our local currency is depreciating it's value against the dollar so yeah that is why foreigners love to visit my country. 😅✌️
the fact that conversion rate of dollar to your local currency is high and that living cost probably cost less could be a good opportunity for the government to start advertising as being a holiday destination in my opinion, it could help strengthen the currency and if its becoming among one of the most sought after destination they can easily increase their income from the tourism sector and from there on the country could build the other sector as well.
I've seen many countries in the less developed region doing the exact same thing and have been doing well so far, prominently around south east asian countries that advertise so diligently in other countries about their tourism, even middle east like dubai right now trying to attract tourism I guess with all the big project they have.

weak local currency isn't great but there's always ways to make for something, meanwhile the people in developed country are having fierce competition for big earners and the housing crisis that just probably not gonna solved,
its pretty though and I predict that digital nomads gonna increase overtime.
