No one can accurately tell you when the crash is going to stop, but since we are still in the bull season, I believe that most investors are still expecting the peak of the bull to happen next year, and by then every altcoin that is meant to pump will definitely pump, but not every altcoin that will pump. If you are lucky to have your investment among the coins or tokens that will pump, then you will surely make your profit back. Since you are still holding your coins, you have not lost anything unless you sell them cheaply. Since the price of Bitcoin went from $72k to $64k, it also affected other tokens.

We haven't even hit alt season yet and I feel I am ready for it, have been buying my altcoins for a while now and I am ready to hold and take profits over the next 6 months or so.

You are a lucky man. You are blessed with cryptocurrency. Before investing in each altcoin, you must do your research. It is not advisable to invest in any altcoin with too much enthusiasm because of profit. Because once the portfolio is negative, it will be necessary to wait for a long time until the next altcoin season.

I am waiting for the main part of the bull run which will come end of this year / early next year.

I don’t want to be clever trying to time the market it is easy to say I should have sold and then buy back in lower but no one knows when is best to do that.

I want 1000% return not 80% which I why I will continue holding until I have that 1000% return and that will come in the peak of the bull run over the next 6 months or so.

Yeah, he was still up even though his profits got lowered down. I think the lesson here is not to be greedy and cashed out the profit that we have made already if it's already good enough. Over 80% of profits is an example of it.

I wonder what he was still waiting for? Maybe for it to be 100% or more? Dang. Traders are more prone to volatilities, so if there is one here who can feel bad about the crash, then that would be the investors but like you said, instead of feeling bad, why can't they just look at the bright side and see this as a window of opportunity to buy coins cheaply, right? We aren't done with this current alt season that we have now, so don't be hasty mate .

I am just buying the dips and holding - I think we have another few months and then then last 3 or 4 months of 2024 will be great for crypto again.

One of the biggest things that I have learnt about cryptocurrency is that it is not investments and trading for jobless people because when price dips, you need to wait for price to pump favorably before selling you coin or token, if not you can be tempted to sale at a lose and use the money for other needs. When there is price dip in Bitcoin and altcoins, holders needs to wait for price correction before they will start to see price surge. That is why everybody that wants to buy any cryptocurrency needs to carry out research about the project before buying, to be sure that it is not a scam, so that they can wait for the price to pump before selling. This is a good time to buy altcoins now that their prices are in dip before the alt season will start.

We are all waiting for altcoin season. But the opposite situation is seen in the market. Many thought that Bitcoin would hit $100k this time and that altcoins would also get a huge pump. As a result, many people bought altcoins at a slightly higher price. But the market is still not seeing the expected pump of altcoin, instead altcoin is crashing. It's really sad. Already many portfolios have gone negative. Everyone is now holding coins in anticipation of altcoin season.

Altcoins have mostly been riding Bitcoin’s coattails in the bull market. It is good that many of them are falling harder because they were overpriced to begin with. Coins that have some utility did not suffer as badly in recent days. The market is actually behaving rationally, and the bubble is bursting for a lot of the memecoins and some other garbage tokens.

Almost every crypto investor is feeling the heat my friend, and I must say that it is not looking good for some altcoins in my arsenal now, they are losing, while those that were bought at a very low level have dropped some sizable profits that are not comfortable truly. Had it been it was another asset class, I would have managed them better because I always know when the market is making a retracement or reversal. But the fact that we are still in the long-term bull run was why I left them with a high level of doubts though. I will continue to look at the situation, however, if the truly cryptocurrency stands true to its past, the true bearish season should start in 2025, this one is just a peripheral.

And yes, buying the dip could be a very good idea and will help you to make more money in the end. But we should pray that everything works fine, otherwise, it will be an issue. Also, the chart is the best to tell us when this selling will stop, and when the time comes, we will all know just like now (bullish time). As for the altcoin season, I hope such a thing still exists in the crypto world, things are changing, and I hope it doesn't include that.

Nope we don't know what will be the end point of this and you or other people need to relax if they are afraid for possible more dumps to come.

Remember that until you didn't sell all your holdings you still have a chance to recover. But if you decide to sell because you are more afraid for seeing the read candle sticks continues to fall down then I guess for that you are in total loss. That's why its important to consider always that invest only what you can afford to lose so that whatever happen on the market you can simply look at it and think other positive perspective.

Losses and profits should be taken in good term. Bitcoin and other altcoin projects will dump heavily because we're in bear season and we know what it means. This is the prospect where most of these investors and traders trigger the sell button because they're scared of the market and having slim chances of the market will be unspecified. Holding and patience should be examined at this point in time because more challenges comes and we're here to face them.

market dips will come in cycles. the gaps between these cycles and the length for each one varies heavily dependent on a lot of stuff so it is difficult to predict accurately when will it end.
i am guessing that it will end once bitcoin performs better the whole market is not at its highest right now and is not performing as many expected and that is why many are feeling more fud

once bitcoin rises up i have no doubt all the other altcoins will also follow suit

if its about bitcoin, probably its a bear trap, but market sentiment are so bad it actually worrisome at some point and it could affect altcoin heavily sometime 5% bitcoin dumps means 20% altcoin dumps, market sentiment heavily affected by bitcoin price movement   the thing is people just so afraid of sudden dump, but overall if we judge condition realistically we will eventually know that we're still really high in term of price and it seems people's fear were unfounded at all.



but if we are talking about altcoin crash on the other hand which goes as low as more than 50% that widely affect majority of the L2s, LST and LRT well its indeed worrisome, maybe people are done overvaluing these coins, their use isn't exactly justifies the overly inflated valuation that they mostly have, 8 billions FDV for a coin thats literally just sidechain of ethereum with some additional feature just doesn't sit right, but regardless the big investors are still pouring in some money to these projects by the billions, what you should remember though at some point these investors gonna dump their bag sooner or later, probably they will dump immediately after vesting unlock.

so for now I personally avoid altcoin and just reposition my investment to bitcoin or ethereum, just risk management thing.

But to me, this should not be a means of discouragement for you now because you know how the crypto market works before you invest. You know that the market can dump at any time, so it is at your own risk before you invest, which we all know as long as you are an investor, so this should not be a problem for you as an investor. However, since you know that you want to save money, you would rather not invest it; rather, you keep it in USDT or your fiat currency and not put it in meme coins. However, the crypto market is so volatile that you should not expect much or profit anytime soon if you invest. The market is unpredictable. 

Those investors who had invested in non-potential altcoins or used borrowed or emergency money to invest in altcoins are the ones to be very concerned about the steady decline of altcoin prices.

As for people like me, who had invested in bitcoin and other top altcoins had nothing to worry about our portfolio heading to a loss price for the time being. One thing that is certain that gives one courage is that the market will surely bounce back. When it does, our hearts will be filled with joy overflow. However, no cause for alarm thereof.

lol - This isn't a crash, it's a fluctuation.   

Altcoins follow Bitcoin fluctuations. So you can expect altcoins to start increasing in price once Bitcoin does. The problem is that Bitcoin is stucked between 65,000$ and 71,000$. Always it gains value, the market immediately crashes it to the 60,000$'s again.

However, I believe it's just temporary. Bitcoin just needs to break the resistance line at 72,000$ to reach new ATHs, and as consequence, your altcoins will too. So that is what you should be looking and waiting for!

Usually the last months of the year are more productive for crypto market during bullish seasons. From September or October on things may start looking more interesting for us...

No one knows when the crash will stop, it's much better if you've sold it when you're up by almost 100%. But then, with missed opportunities, you're not able to sell them and that's why you have to bear the losses.

Even with losses, you're in paper loss from the actual profit that you should have. But then, these losses that you're having right now is just a minus from your actual profit.

And considering a loss, it's not a total loss from your actual holding because you're still in profit.
