If you are from a family that loves to gamble, perhaps you are not the only one gambling there, it's very possible that you guys can use a different devices. Every one of you should have their own device (phone or laptop) that you are using to access the gambling site and you guys will not face the risk of account linking, leading to ban. As a matter of fact, some persons that are living in the same compound but different flats with me, are using the same bookie that I am using and for more than a year now, there's nothing like account linking because we don't share the same network and don't also use the same device.

Well some casinos do ban accounts with same IP address and from what the op is trying to say, most times same family members in same house may have the same IP address since they literally make use of the same home WI-FI but in reality the chances of that happening is very thin since like you said they  would likely have their individual devices and IP addresses are unique to different devices except maybe they use a static IP which can even cause connection problems.

The fact is accounts that usually get banned based on IP conflicts us usually because the same gambler attempted to create and make use of two different accounts on same casino using the same device.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Usually this will be a problem if in 1 house sharing IP with the same casino while the casino will definitely detect the same IP then this will be a risk that one of the accounts will be closed.

Yes maybe the best solution is to use a different casino maybe this will not be risky in this context.
Sometimes there are casinos that allow the same IP but this possibility is still rare, usually casinos have strict TOS in using casinos in 1 house with the same IP, except by using different wifi providers.

We’ve been seeing a lot of posts about multiple accounts using the same IP. When this happens, the casino will usually close the account, and worse, they might even confiscate the funds. As gamblers, we want to be honest and follow the TOS, but what if you’re living in a house where your family also loves to gamble and you all use the same site? Is it reasonable for the casino to close your account for multiple accounts, even though you didn’t actually create them, but because you share the same IP, that’s what they see?
This kind of case, you only need to chat up the casino support team and explain the incident. But the problem is if they will believe you or not. But I do not support the idea of giving out your device to someone for gambling, because if you are using this kind of casino that doesn't agree with the terms of using different accounts in one device you will be banned from them and if you have funds on your account/s all your money will be gone.
Some of this issues happened to gamblers that doesn't read the terms and conditions of the casino and when they encountered a situation like this that's the moment they will settle down to read the terms and conditions of the casino because they will want to know the reasons why their account was blocked.

Yes, that's their rule and that's what's on their terms ; whatever the situation or explanation that you give them, they will ban your account and confiscate your earnings so the ball is in your hands to make sure that no one among your family will create a second account, or you can ask the support for a second account if they can verify the second account.
What's important is that if you're going to break their rule and you want an exception, you have to contact the support for their clearance, Never assume that your explanation will save you when they restrict your account, because it will not.

Having the same ip address simply means that you are using the same device, this is why it's not adviced to use one Mobile phone to create multiple accounts on some casinos, although some casinos don't really monitor ip addresses or anything but some are very strict with it. I think that's the reason why my 1x bet account always have extreme odd reduction in some short football games I was playing, it was a restriction due to the fact that I created multiple accounts on that platform. Having two under the same household doesn't mean anything as long as the devices used to create those accounts are different.

If you are really worried about it, connect to different networks. Maybe use one for cellular and one for landline connections. I don't think it is too much of a big deal, especially if you are not doing anything wrong. As long as you comply and show them that you are two different people if you are asked to submit KYC.

Is using vpn recommended for this even though each family member living in the same place that used one isp ip address?
Many gambling sites are against the use of VPN, that it violates their terms of service. But some gambling sites do not say anything about it but it might lead to the gambling site demanding for more verification from your if they are suspecting something. It is better not to use VPN.

Or much better if they use another service provider that has their own ip address in order to prevent future circumstances related to being banned by gambling sites. This is an additional cost for each family member, and I think that's better than being caught due to restrictions.
Same internet service provider are good. What is not good is to use the same SIM card. If the SIM card is different, there is no problem.

If you still want to use family router, you can discuss about it with your family members to know another gambling site that you can use. All of you can use different gambling sites with the same IP as well. Bui I prefer different IP addresses and different devices.

If it is written in the casino ToS then you need to stick to that and don't do something that will lead to you regretting your actions because the casino will definitely block both accounts. They will not do that when there are no funds in the account but when you win big, so it's better you save yourself from such drama. Just like what Stompix said, it is better each member of one family gamble in different casino. Many people can give different answers, but it is when it happens to you, that you will understand that you went against the casino ToS and there is nothing that you can do about it than to blame yourself.
There would really be gamblers who would really be that too strict when it comes into following rules that has been set and if its mentioned that it is really that it isnt allowed
then they wont really be trying out to force on breaking up those rules on which this is something which is really that very common. We do know that when it comes into this
aspect that there are platforms which are strict on implementing rules and if they caught out someone on having that multiple accounts on the same IP and its been set into their
TOS then they might immediately making up those kind of blocks or lock ups which it will really be that resulting on some funds that might be ending up on locked.

Do not use the same IP address for gambling.

Go to each gambling sites, you will see that they are against it. They even specifically included in their terms of service that one gambling account one family.

Each person from the family should use different IP address and different devices.

This is a typical example why your account gets banned. Even if your accounts are created on different IPs, you should never use two different account with same IP at a given time. Most of the ISP uses dynamic IP which are assigned randomly to users so they may consider different accounts if they are being used at different time but make use both of them are not logged in at the same time.
If two of you need to gamble on the same site, you should use the same account. Or better gamble on different sites or have a different internet connection altogether. For most TOS, only one account is allowed per IP. And almost all of them forbids the use of VPN or proxy.

Whether it is your little brother, your grandpa, or whoever is in your house, if they are playing on the same platform as you are playing then you should be prepared that the casino may close your account, because the casino does not care about which IP is associated with your account - they do not care if it is your little brother or whoever - if they find any wrongdoing then they will close your account regardless of your reason. So there is no need to think that the casino will tolerate this because they will definitely suspect bad things from their users.

Even if we say it is not your account but you are operating multiple accounts with the same IP, don't abuse the reward they offering because the most common reason they tag the account is to abuse the events like spins and bonuses, now if you want to get don't bother with the multiple accounts use the other account with the different connection such as cellular data or other wifi connection. Other casino allowed multiple account but registered with the same mac address to make sure the device is specifically use for a single device so avoid make a login to your account into another.

Since we already know that gambling sites verify the IP address to determine if a person has multiple accounts or not, in this case we can try to find alternatives.
You can use different gambling sites such that person A uses one site and person B uses a different site.
If you still want to use the same site then you can consider using VPN to use different IP address for person B.
You can also try contacting the customer support and let them know the situation and may be ask for an IP whitelisting if they agree to it.
Some gambling sites are also against allowing VPN access to their sites and users could face same punishment as those who use same IP address.
I think every device has its own unique IP address, so family members can have their own accounts on same gambling site on different devices and not have this concern.

The solution of family members sharing one device could meet the need for each member to register on different gambling platforms and there won't be need for contacting the customer support or whitelisting.

As far as I know, the casinos don't really want that because they think they are just someone who really uses; of course, anyone who is a gambling owner will not allow that. But this is just forbidden to casinos online, as far as I know.

We also know that gambling platforms are so tight when it comes to multiple or dummy accounts, and when the account is so common that you can leave that fund on them.

KYC both accounts. That way they will know that those two are different people using the same IP. That's what me and my wife did in a local online gambling platform and we never had any issues.
Local gambling sites are different. Also I noticed that local gambling sites are not really strict with multiple accounts unlike crypto gambling sites. I am talking from the experience I have with the fiat local gambling sites that I have used before. Three of them are not strict with having another account.

The best is to use different IP and devices which is better.

Also have you been winning? If you use two accounts and nothing was talked about, it could also be be because you are losing on the gambling site. The problem do come when someone wants to withdraw money.

Totally depends on the TOS of a certain platform or site because there are platforms which are really that too strict when it comes to multiple accounts but most of the time they wont really care when it comes to those multis as long it isnt really that making up some abuse specially on bonuses or any other promotions but basing up on experience i dont see that they are really that too keen or would really be that too strict when it comes to this. If you are really that paranoid when it comes to possible lock ups then it will really be better that you should avoid on making multiple accounts but since you are playing on the same site on the same household and you wont really be tending to transfer into other platforms then it will really be better that you should really be letting know the team about the condition. So that you wont really be that get shocked on the time or moment that there's some possible lock ups.

It is really always important that you should really be having some time on reading up sites terms and conditions on which this is really that something that will really be needing up to consider.
For me then i wont mind that much when it comes to this aspect on which if there would really be multiple sign ups on the same household but since you are really that playing
on full time and with full balance then you wont really be thinking up with some locked funds.  Tongue

It is better you ask to casino to have a right answer for creating two different accounts using the same IP. You can explains to the support system that you have friends or family who want to play on that casino and how if all of you creating the accounts using the same IP.
If the casino allows, you will not have a problem. But I guess casino will not allow that and even if they allow, they will ask you to give proof of each of you that you are different than the other people.
But it is better to avoids the same IP to create the account for your safety. It is better to honest to the casino because they can understand your situation.
