I read some replies, mainly in the Mining section that said mining was a fun hobby for them and not a thing that they could continue doing as a business. In the Project Development section I found many projects that generated profit like your local businesses.

How serious is BTC to you? Could you look at it as a foundation of business/job or is it just an exciting hobby/experiment?

Well BTC is a serious thing to me because it serves as my other source of income aside from my salary. My earnings from BTC really supports my daily expenses. I trade and I invest. Yeah, also engage in gambling. But aside from fun, I also target to have profit from it. So BTC serves as a business as well a a hobby for me. And I'm regard it as a serious thing.

Pretty serious. Since BTC = Money.

Especially considering that most of my income from the past year has come from BTC. It's a job,
as well as an opportunity.

It also represents ease of access since I'm able to do a lot of things with BTC.

It's also a community because of bitcointalk.org , I guess that's where the hobby comes in. I learn new things and get to talk to people all across the globe. I get exposed to different beliefs, personalities, and attitudes. ^^

Money is serious business, but even more important is time. We spend loads of time... even years, to generate income to participate in this

experiment, but it is still serious and nobody wants to lose the time or the money. We have some big businesses like Overstock, Coinbase and

BitPay that invested loads of money into Bitcoin ventures and if Bitcoin fails, loads of people will lose their jobs and their income... so it's

definitely not a hobby.  Shocked

bitcoin is almost my everything when it comes to finance , especially that I live in a country where literally all the popular e-wallets aren't supported
so thanks to bitcoin I'm able to invest in casinos , play poker , buy some digital goods ...etc
without bitcoin I can't move money around the internet , so I think I'm deeply committed

I use it almost daily for online products and receiving cash. I prefer it over PayPal/Bank over 1000 times. It's just a nice currency to operate with.

This is more of a hobby, fun thing to do for me.  I just took a huge devastating hit by betting all my coins on Hilary winning the election.  I didn't think this would happen but again, just for fun and research purposes.
