Times like bear market that is prolonged for more than a year, you may see more and more ICO that never get funded.
Maybe its time the team really has to put more allocations for the bounty hunters to make good promotions to several platforms where more investors are hanging. So that they get even just the softcap and will not scam bounty participants.

Recently there have been some topics warning people from projects that they consider fraud. so we need to be more united to build a healthy crypto environment
If this community decides something for a change, then surely we can bring big differences so that we can have healthy crypto environment certainly. Unfortunately many people are starting topics on this but not taking care of implementing them in practical. I have seen many topics have been created on this purposes but none of them working till the end. I believe only with the help of DT members and staff we could bring changes.

an investor should protect itself by reviewing everything about the project: the whitepaper, development team, project site, etc. That way you can eliminate some risks of getting scammed.
Reviewing will help but no one could do anything with a well prepared/highly masked scam. There are lot of such projects are always existing and most people finding their real face only after months of engagement with them. It seems there would be no concrete solution for this kind of situations.

almost every scammer will cover they plan as smooth as they can, until someone make very proper research on it, you can do research on every detail provided by ICO such as roadmap, token allocation, developer team, you can read their wallpaper very carefully and understand where the project will go before and after ICO, the main thing is what can developer deliver to community if there is question and how they treat the investor and community.

Apparently, ICO investors continue to fall prey to innumerable ICO scam. The effect of this is very devastating on investors perception of crypto-project ICOs.
While it appears there is no apparent solution to address the current scam associated with ICO in the crypto space. I propose that we help each other in finding out the best ways to identify and separate genuine ICO from fake ones....

I totally agree with you. Phishing projects have made investors become good prey. Bounty hunters were turned into puppets and promoted them. This makes people lose faith in Icos projects and this is not good at all.

Hard to find good ICO these days and i think many ICOs investor suffering loss their portfolio value after token landed in exchanger. I am prefer buying altcoin in market that already have working product and having solid developers team. But if want to join in ICO, better make a good research first in many website because right now many website dedicated for ICOs review

Its very difficult to determine if an ICO is a scam. Nowadays its hard to find a good and reliable ICO and the only way to avoid it is to really check and do some research on that specific ICO that you’re investing on. And make sure that all you’re details are secure.
you are right. even I have been hit several times by scams from several ICOs. well, sometimes I see an ICO with the concepts they offer, and if it's interesting, I find out the competition from that project. sometimes it really does. however, sometimes an unprofessional, irresponsible team starts to show their injustice and begins to disappear. well, sometimes an ICO can be valued by their team.

Well I think ico scam detecting is not just up to us. It's hard for us, the bounty Hunter to detect scam. To me this detecting will be easy for the authority of this organization. Also the ico regulations must be hardly followed.

Hardly will one see an ICO that will pay off soon lately
I think ICO investment isn't doing it again.
Moreover, even some ICO whitepaper last longer than the project itself.
Now, to avoid a scam ICO, one needs not to be greedy and doesn't follow multitudes to invest.

Some of my friends went nearly bankrupt after invested on scams. I think it is important to learn not only about ythe project profile but also about the developers' reputation and crediblity first before investing.

Before investing in any ICOs, an investor should protect itself by reviewing everything about the project: the whitepaper, development team, project site, etc. That way you can eliminate some risks of getting scammed. However, take note that there are projects out there that seems legit.

Before joining ICO, you should try checking. And you can start checking through the website display, checking ICO-empowered wallets, and you must understand the white paper. And fake ICO projects are usually unclear on all websites and the Team is no longer active in providing information about ICO developments.

Let's have a look at this from the beginning ...

1) Some people you don't know (and know you) know about a project.

2) Sells a token / coin to be used for funding the project.

3) You have to send money to this project with certain promises.

First of all it is close to the impossible to understand whether the project is real! The most important thing that should be done in order to prevent the SCAM of the project you deposit is to recognize. You need to know or know everything from A to Z. I'm sure those who try to create a SCAM project will make a mistake.

first don't trust other people. always pay attention to everything from the reputation and experience of the team, the concept, the origin of the company. remember do not believe the results they say before you see for yourself. sometimes there are developers who fake their income so that investors are interested.

I always try to check the site of that ICO, if that site has been built since 6 month ago, you must suspicious. That mean, they just build site just for scamming other people. And then next step, check the team behind that ICO. LinkedIn profile can help you to know who you will have business with.
The analysis of available information does not always provide an absolute guarantee for the authenticity of a certain project. If you provide examples, you don’t need to look far, just pay attention to the information on ethereum Classic Vision. New people paid for not being able to recognize the fraudster on time.

the fastest way is don't invest in ico. it is the safest way. my advice if you are hesitant to invest in a new project it is better to buy it. focus on coin trading, because investing in ico is far more risky than trading.

One can avoid falling into the hands of many scam ICOs by doing a diligent and thorough research about the project, the team behind it and if the product is a workable one. If what you have at the end of this research you have made so far is positive to you then you can proceed on to invest in the project otherwise don't.
