To become a good speaker you should master your speech, practice in the front of the mirror, have an eye contact with the audience and proper hand gesture, don't feel nervous and stand with confidence,  last but not the least pronounce the word clearly.

I am really having a problem with my speaking skills especially one-on-one. Can you give me some advice or link about improving speaking skills coz I think it will really be hard to get hired.  Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

It's all about practice and being confident in yourself. Practice in front of the mirror and someone you know very well. This person can also give you some tips. Eye co-ordination and confidence are very important.

You will be a good speaker once you are ready to be a good listener. A good speaker is the one that finds any informational material useful; ready read motivational books and hear motivational speakers speak and be ready to make one a mentor.

You get interview experience after many and many tries. You don't need to be a really good speaker, but you have to show yourself like a professional. I recommend you to look at some specific websites about the necessary skills for the interview

There is a commonly cited statistic that people are generally more fearful of public speaking than they are of death. The idea of performing a speech in front of an attentive audience is a nerve-wracking concept for most people. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be. Being a great speaker is a skill that is learned just as much as any other. When you have a strong command of your voice and self-presentation, confidence with public speaking tends to fall into place.

Just try to :
1. Articulating Your Voice
2. Talk slowly and
3. Minimize filler words and stammering.

Just believe in yourself. The only thing we should fear is fear itself. Think less about yourself and more about your audience and some of the fear will leave, as you perceive yourself not as isolated but as part of the group you are addressing - a group that want to hear what you have to say. Don't guess at what your audience's reaction mean. It detracts from your effectiveness to worry aobut those who don't seem to be listening, since they may be listening the hardest, anyway. Use fear to your advantage, charisma and adrenaline are closely linked, not worry about being a gifted speaker. Remember the facts, you are supposed to know more about your subject than the audience, you are there because you are more capable of covering the subject than most people. Believe it and you will do it.
