To ensure you're wallet you must be vigilant on what site you're going to enter not just click and click. Also dont save your .dat file or private key in your computer better save them in google drives or paper wallet so that you wont be in danger incase you've been compromised.

In order to keep all of your assets you must first of all not show your private key from your wallet anywhere. And do not go to phishing sites. And then with your means everything will be fine.
Can the virus get on my computer and steal private keys from it? For the time being, I'm not completely sure about protecting against fraud.

firstly, what currencies do you use?

Use electrum wallet, and while will you create the wallet, create with TWO-FACTOR auth option. Don't share your private key with anyone, only share your public address key.

if you are using erc-20 coins, you must use myether wallet with "Metamask". but use only with "MetaMask".

and i want to give a off-topic advice;
While you save your private keys and wallet passwords, save your passwords to "KeePass software". KeePass is an open-source, password manager. The software creates very difficult passwords for each of your account.
I highly recommend the software.
Electrum don't have 2 factor authentication option. Roll Eyes

The wallet which have private key access no need to have other security features and your advice of saving your password into a software is also not recommended save them is a paper after you create them.

First important point you should know is which wallet you use in crypto currency because there are many kinds of wallets. Then, maintain confidently of your wallet, avoid sharing your wallet account's credentials with others. Never give or show the private key with others, of course you should keep it safe by you your self. Watch or get log in to your wallet as often as possible to check the balance in your wallets.

Recently many hackers are attacking the wallet, specifically wallet MEW. So you need to secure your account carefully, avoid being attacked and occupy the entire amount of cryptos are owned. Or, the safest thing to do is to use a hardware wallet like Trezor or Ledge Nano S, which is safe and not afraid of being attacked by hackers.

Personally I bought a hardware wallet and never looked back (ledger) It's been great for me and i feel much safer. I keep all my private keys as hardcopy and enable 2FA on all exchanges. Of the crypto I own which have their own wallets I tend to keep hardcopy seed words and sometimes for the smaller amounts on computer in a secure program like dashlane.
Rightly said, hardware wallet is highly advised especially if you hold substantial token asset. It takes your token offline where they can be hacked

Here are a few things you can do to enhance your security especially as it relates to your wallet, funds or account
1.Never for any reason reveal your private keys to anyone by way of chats or filling forms online.
2.Always Use a google authenticator where possible
3.Do not use the same password for multiple sites, you may inadvertently fill it on a scam site and thereby exposing your delicate account to scammers
4.Always take some time to create a reasonable complex passwords combining alphabets, specials symbols and numbers

With security on the Internet, problems if you are not a programmer or IT specialist. I reckon that for a campaign that is focused on the security of the future, for example for Remme

Never ever let someone know your private key.

Don't publish it on social medias or email or any cloud spreadsheet or storage.

Always get a back up whenever your saving your important keys such as json, private keys or anything that's related to your wallet.

It depends on type of the wallet. The most secure ones are hardware wallets, like Electrum, then you can also have a paper wallet. The most vulnerable are online wallets, e.g. blockchain wallet, myethereumwallet and so on. The most important thing to stay secure while using your online wallet - make sure you're on the right website and the connection is secure, as there are really lots of fake websites that look so much like real ones. Also look carefully on the location bar, if it's red, or somehow differs from its normal look - don't enter you wallet and NEVER enter your private key in such cases.
