Before you watch the video, try to guess which one is the fake tile on the wall? Can you spot it?

No way, I guessed it wrong haha. This mean you can hide your seed in the wall from me, atleast. This is a great strategy but I am not sure if I would go and break my bathroom or room tiles to get my phrase inside it. I currently have my seed phrase everywhere in the home and one page contains only 6 of them. So you kinda need to collect all to guess it correctly.

Let's hope I will be able to collect all when I really need them

The reason why I love this concept is that no one will ever think that ypu can keep your valueables hidden in a bathroom. Secondly, your bathroom is highly prohibited to anyone not staying in the same room with you....
This method has been shared on social media so it's not a secret anymore....
Exactly, lol. Showing and sharing this concept will give hints and ideas those malicious attackers to consider this place as one of their targets when doing their operations.

But of course this will not limit the place such idea will also good in any part of the house but it needs more consideration.

It was impossible to notice which one is the fake tile since all the grout lines are even so without tapping no one can say there's a hidden compartment in it. But someone only with the expertise on doing this can pull it off, even if you hire a professional I doubt they would have done this with this much perfection.

There are similar ideas and pick one which you can afford to do it.

1. Build a safe room under the floor (like Gus Fring created a meth lab under the dryer)
2. Book Safe (like a safe box in the shape of a box that should embed perfectly into the bookshelf)
3. Fake Electrical output
4. Behind a photo frame.
5. Conceal inside a wall.

I don't think it's a good idea because there's no security involved in carving or hiding the seed phase of a bitcoin wallet in a wall.  Walls can be destroyed at any time due to cyclone, earthquake or natural disaster.  Once destroyed, that security phase will never be recoverable.

I came across a video showing an interesting way of hiding your valuables, which can include seed phrases or hardware wallets. A fake bathroom tile with a drawer inside of the wall. The drawer is controlled remotely and pops out with the press of a button. You can then pull it out.

The drawer is neatly concealed and hard to spot. At least that's how it looks in the video.

Before you watch the video, try to guess which one is the fake tile on the wall? Can you spot it?

I checked the tiles closely but couldn't find the fake one. I think it's a good way of keeping your wallet away from people. It might not be a perfect strategy, but it is unique. My take is that keeping your seed phrase in this place shouldn't stop you from storing it in other places. This should be one of the locations where the seed phrase should be kept.

1. The remote having a little bit fault which means one might have to take out some tiles out to actually get the box open.

Removing a few tiles shouldn't be a problem when you are securing an asset. Some people kept their valuables in a place where they would have to destroy more than just tiles to retrieve them. The more difficult it is to access the more safer it might be.

Lastly, it is the last place that will come to anyone's mind to look for such and even if you go there, how will you know it is hidden inside the tiles. It's unique. I enjoyed the video.
This method has been shared on social media so it's not a secret anymore. Anybody that has seen the video or have heard about it and has the intention to steal your seed phrase will know that it can be hidden behind a tiled wall. Although it's a good innovation and it gives us more options on how to safeguard our seed phrase and other valuables. It is very important to hide our seed phrase in more than one location because no matter how secured a hidden place is, if any disaster or theft were to happen there, we'll likely lose it. Securing seed phrase is the the biggest responsibility of being the custodian of your Bitcoin, and that is the price of decentralization.

I do not think it is a good idea to store a hardware wallet in a hidden secret drawer because bathrooms are always wet and produce more moisture, which I believe can damage the hardware if stored there for an extended period of time.

The same goes for a paper wallet, so I believe the best option for storing seed backups in a hidden drawer is a backup seed made of steel, such as a Crypyosteel Capsule or a Keystone tablet.
Paper can be laminated. Hardware equipment can be placed in watertight boxes and you can place silica gel packets around your devices. Anyways, the recovery phrases are what matters and what people should be focused on. Storing the hardware wallets is of secondary importance. They have their own security features like PINs or stateless operation.

Although this innovation is very catchy, I think we should consider the possibility of such a building being affected by fire or natural disaster or a major wreck or earth quakes and it may be hard to even retrieve the locked up information in the fancy bathroom vault.
Well, if your building explodes, collapses, or an earthquake causes havoc, it won't matter if you stored your seed in the wall, in a book, or some other hiding place in your home if everything above you falls like dominos squashing everything in its path. That's why backups in different geo-locations are so often recommended.

Sounds interesting, but this is still one among many other ways to hide jewelry and valuables including passwords, hardware ledgers, computer drives with information that's worth a fortune.

I agree with your concluding statement there, though. Nowhere is 100% safe to hide anything. A bathroom isn't one, whether we use it alone or with anyone else. Houses collapse. Houses get burnt. Those in wars get their homes attacked and abandoned. When all that happens, anybody's least worry would be remembering or rescuing anything hidden in a bathroom somewhere.

I spot it correctly on a tile with a little blur white cement. If the man did it better, I will not be able to identify that tile of the drawer.

It looks to be a good method to hide your hardware wallet but I see one risk. Hiding it in a bathroom with a lot of water, moisture, is it actually safe and no risk?
I am scary that the hardware wallets stored in a drawer will be damaged by water and especially moisture. A desiccant is a possible solution to reduce risk of moisture but I think doing this method outside a bathroom is safer.

Interesting, I haven't thought of this but this is a good idea if someone is looking for another place to keep his back up. Just make sure that whoever does this is the one who'll do the drilling and won't ask someone to do it so that no one will have an idea about the secret storage.

I do not think it is a good idea to store a hardware wallet in a hidden secret drawer because bathrooms are always wet and produce more moisture, which I believe can damage the hardware if stored there for an extended period of time.
If it's the hardware wallet that will be kept there, it'll surely be corroded because of the moisture but if it's just the seed, like written in a dogtag or any material that's moist resistant. It shall be fine IMO.

At least better way to conceals valuables like the hardware wallets in as much as I don’t have a problem with this, my only concern is
1. The remote having a little bit fault which means one might have to take out some tiles out to actually get the box open.
It shouldn't be that difficult to get it open with a screwdriver or a similar tool if the remote started causing problems.

2. Second I think not all building will be to have this kind of box except the thickness of the wall is increased for tiny walls.
You will have to choose the wall carefully and, obviously, make sure there is enough depth there. The drawer in the video is quite large, perhaps even unnecessarily large. If you only wanted to hide a seed and/or a hardware wallet, you wouldn't need such depth.

It is impossible to determine which of the tiles is fake, because the tile outline (joints) are sealed with sealant, which makes all the tiles the same. From a visual point of view, it is impossible to determine where the hidden drawer is.

But there are other methods: for example, tapping the tile, which will allow you to determine the voids, as well as a metal detector (the presence of metal elements).

In general, a rather interesting and useful method for making a hidden drawer, a small drawback of which is the need to re-seal (to smear) the outline with sealant after each opening (in general, this is not critical and can be easily solved), and also, how to open it if the battery runs out or oxidizes (may happen in 20 years Smiley)?

I would make some minor changes to the design: add a thickened wall to the front part (behind the tile), similar in structure to a concrete wall (I'll have to experiment with materials), so that this tile doesn't knocked with an empty sound, but at the same time so that it doesn't affect the ability of the drawer to slide out due to the shifted center of gravity. Overall, I think it is a useful solution with a drawer behind the tile, which everyone can individually modernize based on their needs.

But it should be noted that even with this one needs various back ups again in different locations because of some natural disasters like earth quacks and its likes
