We should know what news for coin we want to trade. But sometimes we don't know at all. The rule is don't be greedy to get high profits, sometimes we for greed and forgot that the coin can go down very fast. We should know when to sell and get out from the wave. That's what I thought. Correct me if I am wrong.

I would rather have you not bothering yourself with technicalities and all. You have a lifetime for you to learn. The basic thing you need right now is to set a target price for you to exit your investment and when it reach that price you sell.

need to sell together. the market does not tolerate individual farmers. we can draw an analogy with a flock of birds. you should stay together, otherwise, no how

I'm happy with $400-800 profit per coin, so anytime it's that much above my previous buy point, I pull the trigger.     Same for when I buy back in, $400-800 below, but if it's a long slide type of day, I'll wait a little more.   But sell wise, I typically don't hesitate.

In trading, i always use the support and resistance strategy to spot a reversal in trend - if on a bullish movement, the market happens to get a resistance at a range, and does not exceed that range but rather decides to take a bearish turn. There, is where i spot a reversal and tend to sell.
Hold - I tend to hold whenever the market is against me, which result to me being at a loss.

Can i anybody put me through the basics of knowing when to sell and when to hold?...
I actually don't know much about market rise in demand and supply and it's affecting me in daily trade of cryptocurrency.
Knowing when to sell and when to hold is very confusing. Because cryptocurrenciee is in supply  and demand basis. Which means it doesn't have a stable price, it depends on the people who buy and sell their crypto. So i suggest to you that always look on the chart, on how it flows and works. Just remember the saying buy or hold when the price is low, sell when the price is high.
First it is not confusing if you have a good knowledge and good decisions. Selling is also a will if you are willing to sell at that price its your desire but if not that means you are aiming for more somehow called greediness in good or bad coin. It really requires you to know specifically the information about a coin that you invested in before deciding when to sell.

a way to know when it's time to sell the coins you have when you've earned a profit and when the coin you hold has a decrease in buyers and volume. do not let you get stuck with a very expensive price.

The best time to sell is the time you think you have make so much through your investment but it better not to sell all because of the volatility of the crypto currency market and you could keep some money in other to do some quick buy when there is dip.
I think it depends upon the investment of you. Some of the investments are for long term and some are for short term.I think your profit and loss depends more on luck than your choices, but a general rule to follow is to sell a stock when it on the higher side, or the highest price you expect it to achieve, and buy a certain stock when its on the lower side.

That is really hard to decision weather you sell your bitcoin or altcoins at that price, for me my idea is if i see that i had 20 or 30% income from my investment i will sell it right away.

that's the real hard task of being a trader, deciding when to sell or hold.If you're into holding, must research first about the coin . if you see that it is a long term project, holding is better. If your just a newbie,i will not suggest you into holding. It will be better to sell high ,buy lower stratery first. When to sell? If your happy and contented with the profit, then you can sell it.

In my opinion To simplify matters for newbies  you can sell out when prices are higher than when you bought and bought at low prices.
In case I am in need of cash I will also sell to solve the problem
Checking  the prices day by day. It will help you  have right decision for holding  or selling your bitcoin

there are several ways you can do to know a little about market price movements and to get the right time to sell or buy, try to learn about the fundamentals, many of those in the trade have fundamental knowledge and are very helpful in analyzing change and predicting the future the coin
Yes there's a lot of ways when they sell our bitcoin or altcoins but before we sell it make sure that the price we have in the market was aligned with the right amount in the future. Because if we wrong to sell our coins there's a possibility that instead of earnings we lost our investment.

Hold it, but then start to sell it once you see a small pop in value.

If your portfolio gains 15%, then you could either sell it then, or wait longer and watch it grow more most of the time.

This is a good strategy, but if you are always following this strategy from the scratch, i am sure that you are going to have more losses than earnings, since there are more than 200 coins listed on the major exchanges.

So no, this is false, and it doesn't works.
My strategy on my short term trades is too sell it once it goes on top 30 gainers. These are the coins that are based on hype and will not end well in the long run so it's my own signal for selling it all.

When to hold is easy, you must hold almost all the time no matter what happens or the things you hear you need to learn to tune out all the noise, sell only if you really need the money or when you reach your goals with bitcoin, maybe it is an specific price or maybe something you would like to do with your bitcoin.
