Yes but the question is detecting that drops and peaks. That's how you can turn your trading into a nice one othewise it's likely to lose money on your trade positions. That's the key here to know when to sell or buy.

Whales usually sell while the price is going up. They don't sell at the top all at once or it will cause a lot of panic. I suggest we follow the same thing. We sell portions of our holdings as targets are hit to seal our profits and don't regret it if price goes further up since you didn't lose at all. That's what's important.

I think most of good investment coin is always go up, like ethereum, bitcoin, bitcore, deeponion, Time to sell this coin is when you need money and that is urgent (long term investment).
Safex coin is also long term investment and dont sell it before you need it soo much, because this coin have trusted dev and great future.
Thats is some example if you want to be HODLERS

if you want to be trader, just buy when you have good rumor, and sell when your target profit reach.
so sell when you reach your target, dont be greedy.
or if you already have trusted signal, just follow it.

using Bollinger bands could give an idea when we want to sell but we need to analyze with the other indicators like macd or else and I am sure that it will help us to place an order sell. besides that, I agree with you saying that we need to have a target price to sell so we know when the time has come and we can sell it at that time. but it will back to you if you don't have any price to sell and you only want to hold for a long time.

how to know the right time to sell your coin is to look at the market situation, if the market is still very crowded then it is the right time to sell the coin you have or when you already get a profit more than 50% you can sell the coin you have.

You have to learn all about bitcoin, research how was it especially on how to sold it. Monitoring the price is very important here you have to search the price of your coin so that you will know if you sell it now or wait for the future. Holding now is the best to increase your bitcoin because it will cost 10 times or more when price is increase.
