Basically if the price of the market dropped then automatically your tokens price also will decrease too and if you sold your tokens when the price down then obviously you will lost and to get profit when market down is very difficult but rather than sold your tokens and you will lost then wait patiently is good until the price recover back and if the price back to normal then you can sold your tokens immediatelly
If you want to make profit from that your token , you have to wait bull market and many predict bull market will be back on 2019. Or other way you sell that token to buy others more potential coin because many altcoin now pumping after in the bottom. Now bearish trend like over so you have to wait patiently for bull market.
Everything requires patience. For someone who has been holding all these while, the best like you said is just to wait for the bull market to come to at least be able to take advantage of the upward movement.It is the fluctuation that is being traded which is summed up with the change of trends and for a market that is being dumped, I see no way anyone can end up trading such a market unless they end up buying the dip when the market is showing signs to change its trend and then selling at a good point based on their strategy.

My experience with tokens regardless if it is air dropped or you bought it, as soon as it get listed the price is high. If you ask me, it is a good time to sell those tokens when it gets listed because after the token were sold/traded by the holders, the price starts to drop and it will take time for the price to recover.

It's always advisable to invest your spare money in crypto. This strategy doesn't market will collapse; it only means prices may not shoot up as you may have planned but you could shoot up some other time. That's the problem. You are treating your trading funds to be used on your daily expenses which is obvioulsy not a good idea. And now you want to make an urgent profits out of the dump market of that token? Basically you need to wait for price swings and began shorting but without any knowledge dealing on that kind of approach, you will be fu**** up.
If you really need the money, then dump it no matter what's the price. Simple as that.
