If you previously made friends when you went to a pub, or to a discussion, now most of your friends find social networks. Sure it's not that exciting, but that's reality.
i think just wear smile anywhere, smile to people and i think that's where the friendship starts 
depends on the type of friendship u wanna have. being yourself is usually the best advice one can give, but ofc if u wanna be a fake to reach to people out of your league, then its ok to do so.

Just be yourself and enjoy life. Maybe are not the firends for you but im sure that there is someone that will be your friends for life. Also dont look for so many friends that talk not good behind your back. Its better to have few true friends rather than many fake friends.
In fact, you only need to accomplish one thing and work hard to make money, because even a perfect love needs money to maintain, and when you have money, you can give her more care!
