We should have a good approach to the government officials and a strong connections through these kind of digital currency advantages to peoples lives, and in order to convince them in accepting this currency this must be having pilot evaluations and monitoring of bitcoin usage to the people in the whole world. With these situation it must have a firm understanding between government and investors of fiat and digital crypto currency for this kind of transition.
Yes the good approach may help on bring a establish relationship between the government and the bitcoin community. Bitcoin has an ability to attract people to used it because of its fast transaction and it may be an good investment because its value always change depending on the support of the users whether they used bitcoin on their daily basis. But if the government will take over bitcoin maybe corruption will lead in some aspects.

I have a question for you. How to make governments accept bitcoin and not see it as a threat? So that one could use bitcoin in daily use, such as paying taxes or grocery shopping. What is there, other than anonymity, thats making governments fear bitcoin and cryptocurrencies?

Mark my words: All the governments WILL accept bitcoin without anyone of us persuading them.

problably the government just fear about the price fluctuation of bitcoin. If bitcoin is used by most of people of the country of course anything happen with bitcoin will affect the economy of the country. So I think if bitcoin is spread evenly, the price of it will be more  stable then no one can be the hoarder anymore.

It's possible one of the reasons why the government does not want to accept bitcoin. But I think the underlying reason bitcoin is decentralizes, when the government interference then the decentralized nature of bitcoin could be lost. Plus the government felt disadvantaged by the use of bitcoin by citizens. Thank you

Depending on which country we come from, we the people are the government and if we feel bitcoin can econmically change the affairs of the country.....all that will be needed is voicing out our suport for the digital currency.

its not about anonymity that they consider as a threat but losing 'control' of how the government receives money.
And allowing people to freely  use it  can some how  guarantee low collection of revenues at the end of it.
to me i think in future when the number of the users of bitcoin will increase more and more so it will put pressure on government and then government will compel to take some action about bitcoin and hope that through this way they will consider bitcoin as legal currency of the world.

Bitcoin is not entirely anonymous. So states can determine your identity. I'd recommend using Tor for anonymity.

If the tax on the money earned by the bitcoin is made, the states will accept it. It just needs more time.

yes anonymity is an great issue for what government is not accepting bitcoin but it is not the only reason out there. I think government will accept is or has to when people can use it flawlessly that means people should not get scammed or the whole country face any disaster because of  this new monetary system that can case a huge panic and that's why government is not letting it to start

Especially on democratic/republican state or country where the power rests in the hand of the people. As long as the majority of people in a particular country would want to legalize bitcoin, the government has to accept it. Well I think that the government should not wait for that scenario. Just accept bitcoin and utilize its capability and use it to become the government's advantage.

I think anonymity is the reason why people love to ise bitcoin. No government will sue you if you have a lot of bitcoin for money laundering, they will not know who you are, or their wallets owners. Anonymiyis the reason why people use bitcoin freely, but that is also one of the reason why they can't accept bitcoin, one is it can be used in illegal activities. That is given with the anonymity of bitcoin, it is really the right coin for doing so. I think because of the decentralization too.

Just yesterday I have read a topic about Russia who are making plans about bitcoin adoption on their territory. I think only the government itself can make such decision to accept bitcoin on the same level as fiat. I think Russia just wants to be the first in that, just to show hole they are modern and technologically developed.

Of course the one that will have the decision for their country is their own government itself. That will include all aspects rotating around their respective economy which will now include the art of accepting cryptocurrencies.

Yes Russia is on the news recently about recognizing bitcoin but also state that it's too early to discuss it legally. It is expected that it will really take long time before it was recognized by other countrues just like in Japan although that was a good step since they make a move about it rather than being silent.

I don't know if there are means to make governments accept the Bitcoin but I know that they will embrace Bitcoins if they can clearly see they could make the use of it and make money of it. And the one thing that disturbs governments the most is that they can't control, supervise and fully regulate Bitcoin.

You Don't need to worry friend....government will have to adopt the bitcoin today or tomorrow...when you have a currency that is fully decentralised. When you have a future proof currency, a currency that will surely boost up the economy...dump down frauds..and will give a financial system that is fully transparent..and above all when evey person is adopting to it...No choice will be left with the government other than accepting BTC
I hope so that. If it really comes true that will be great. Though many countries have already adopted the bitcoin also it's true that many governments fear bitcoin to be accepted. Just hoping will come a moment when there no choice left the bitcoin and the government will be enforced except bitcoin in any way.

What is there, other than anonymity, thats making governments fear bitcoin and cryptocurrencies?
Anonymity is the biggest hurdle for bitcoin to get accepted by governments/banks because they can't implement taxation as well as they can't track source of bitcoin. However anonymity is also the main feature due to which many users love to store in bitcoin and use it whenever they like.

Governments/banks may never accept direct bitcoin payments, but they may implement strict rules/regulation and high fees on local bitcoin trading platform. And as recent coinbase and PBOC investigation have shown that governments are now looking to get detail about every bitcoin traders who are actively trading bitcoin so that they can put tax on their earnings as well as limit money laundering.

I think this is a very good point, but also being the fact that governments can't control bitcoin. Bitcoin network is out of their reach. They cant freeze funds, ban accounts. Doing something that would allow government to track funds and handle taxation, would pretty much destroy bitcoin, since it woulf defeat it's purpose as a decentralized and anonymous currency, what I consider perfect currency. Simply because it stops government from controlling everything and spying on anyone they want, make it better than fiat in the eyes of many users.
Yes i agree. If the government will going to have a power to manipulate bitcoin the first thing they would probably do is to build and establish rule and regulation regarding on transaction. And it may lead to a huge dump on a term that the main reason people choose to used bitcoin is because of its taxless transaction. Corruption can be also a effect if government will handle bitcoin because people know that its an internet base that can manipulate easily if you are good on a web especially its developer. So in my side i do not want government on putting action on handling bitcoin. Because bitcoin is better without corruption. But in legal matters it is ok but not leading on manipulation of government.
I think people who are using bitcoin they don't let bitcoin control by government since we are using bitcoin because of freedome how to use it we can gamble without withdrawing and depositing our money without asking for real identity and where we are getting high amount of money from online..
Unlike you are gamble in some website that needs your identity before you can enter.. and some places are ban gambling..
And yeah about the corruption i dont want government will use bitcoin or accept bitcoin in the future many corruption will happen about taxes or any other ways..

Well there are 2 ways that I can see that the Government will accept Bitcoin. First if Bitcoin does not show any threat to that Nation's economy than we will see that Bitcoin will be more accepted in that Country. The second one is when Bitcoin is already illegal in that country because of a law than the people have the power to revoke that kind of Law in order to make Bitcoin usage Legal again. But the second way is harder as it has a lot of battles to be won in the court in order to make it happen.

According to my views the government has only one issue with bitcoin and that is it is anonymous currency and they cannot find that who send the money and who receive the money so they have a fear that someone will conduct money laundering with this currency. I hope they will find any slution for that and will adopt bitcoin.
I'm not sure that they will be finding a solution for handling the advantages of bitcoin's anonymity. But anything is possible in future when technological advancements happen.

At the same time I do think government will think about legalizing bitcoin then people are demanding for it. Because government will listen to people's opinion because the problems you have mentioned are nothing new and will not happen only due to bitcoin, they are already happening everywhere in this world.
