In my country, there are strict regulations in place to prevent the industrial discharge of effluents. But the problem is that no one bothers about these regulations, and the inspectors can be influenced by the industrial unit owners by paying bribes.

Water is life. Without water, there is no way we human can survive. Polluting our water bodies tends to do individuals more harm. Managing water pollution should start with initiation of some policies that will help check the activities of individuals whose actions tend to pollute our water bodies. This policy should take into consideration punishing of offenders who violate the rules pertaining to the policy.
Pollution is a problem and it is a concern that is not going away, but is rather only increasing.

that's true, as more polluted water from factories, garbage, etc. will make more and more water pollution. besides waste from our factory as human beings must be conscious to reduce unnecessary water usage. I think pollution of water pollution can be overcome with awareness of ourselves.Conservation is necessary these days, because the world population is increasing and the availability of fresh water is decreasing. The per capita availability of water is decreasing with every passing year and therefore the wasteful consumption of water should be reduced to bare minimum.
In my opinion we can if we will help the environment to clean up the dirty world with huge garbages all over the world. Actually as far as I know, Japan is so clean and they handle properly the entire water system. Even the cricks and sink hole some have big fishes on it. They drain the water from dirty outside to clean water. Amazing right. If Japan can do it then more than the world can do if the people are willing to do things to improve and clean up the the dirty water. From dirty water to drink water is more helpful.
