To ensure your wallet doesn't get hacked, avoid phishing site. Some of these sites steal information from you without your knowledge and lastly don't give your private key to anyone.

That is sometimes easier said than done. Th phishing sites are sometimes very clever. Even some exchanges have been faked and users typed in their credentials and lost everything.

there are some ways to be safer against hackers.
first of all you must be sure that your computer is not infected by any virus or trojan. It is the most important thing.
Second you should use a hardware wallet like ledger or trezor.
Third you should not share your private key anywhere.

That's the first thing a lot of people fail at. Many of them are not tech savvy enough to judge whether their computer is infected or not. Some viruses are really hard to detect even for professionals. Using a hardware wallet certainly helps a big deal.

First of all choosing the safe for wallet is important for everyone to make your money and your cryptocurrency more safer and doing the proper way of making the wallet to be secured is the another way to get rid from the hackers

A safe wallet is usually one that has been established on the market over a longer period of time by a trustworthy software company or well known team.

For those that are not using hardware wallets, securing private keys or mnenomics phrase is the only way to keep the wallet save from hackers. Wallets can only be hacked when the private key is leak.

I remember once, harwallet (cold) is hacked last summer, i couldn't remember how they did but, while technology develops hackes are also updating themselves.
That’s is really sad news that your wallet got hacked, I am sad and surprise how it happened, but as you said it is true with the passage of time now hackers have become so sharp everyone knows about new techniques, but we should not share about our private key to anyone and use only blockchain which is not hack able.

As long as we are vigilant and maintain your private key, hackers are indeed many and often occur where we are really clean in using your computer.

if you can't buy a hardware wallet, just download a desktop wallet for each cryptocurrenies in you bag
i think its safer than others wallet, but, you must always back up your wallet my friend

Good point, for now the best way to store wallet is by hardware token wallet, if is not possible then dedicate a different device for that or your private key on diary/ paper,it is save to some extent.

With our technology, it is difficult to say that there is an unequivocal protection.  But it seems to me that all the same hardware wallets in this will help more.

Secure all information relating to important data such as passwords and related matters. this can avoid the opportunity for hackers to steal information. Also use a trusted wallet and I recommend not using a cloud wallet to store a lot of bitcoin. secure from everything that is simple, the more we can provide high security, we will be able to maintain our wallet.

Not many people can afford hardware wallets and I support your advise. Wallets that get hacked are usually publicly known addresses. Having a separate wallet which will be known only to you will greatly reduce the chances of being hacked

People who cant afford a hardware wallet, the best thing they can do is to store there private keys on a piece of paper. Just take a print out on a paper of your paper wallet and dont store it anywhere online.

Not even on  a notepad file on your computer.

Now, other suggestions I can give is that if you are technically sound, move from windows to linux or mac, it reduces your chances of getting infected with a malware by a big margin.

Eventually, when you can go and buy a hardware wallet, its worth every penny.

You can now get the Ledger Nano S for about $50, so it's probably a good idea for anyone with at least $1,000 in cryptocurrency. The peace of mind it offers is worth every penny.

Let me tell you very frankly and it will not be something strange. I think that if you are talking about hacking today, then this is nothing. That is, if you are already interested, you will not escape hacking, it is a fact.

I am not much a tech person, but the little i know to safe guard my wallet is to make sure I keep my mnemonic phrase and my private key safe from the eyes of anyone. Good a thing I have been doing this and my wallet has really been safe, also I think one should be mindful of some phishing sites ,not to open on your devices.

Follow the minimum security requirements on the Internet and you will not have any problems. Let's start with the fact that you should not install files from unknown sources.
